So,I will toss this out to create more controversy(MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA). I'm looking at all the FA RB's. Some nice ones coming open or at least their contracts are expiring. Guys like Sony Michael or Melvin Gordon. Sadly with Hurts at the helm we don't really know what we have at RB(and NO don't start the Hurts BS all over again). Gordon seems to be in and out like Sanders, but Michael seems to be tough and resilient. Scott seems to be an adequate BU and if you don't keep Howard,we could use a basher /road grader/3rd and 2 type. Michael would cost roughly 2.5 mil. Would you replace Sanders with him? Or we could merely add him to the RB room, but that would require 5 RB's rostered. Sanders really has had only a handful of what I would call "adequate" games. Can we do better?

I’d stick with Howard cheap and we have gainwell who has played well and look at the draft for another guy not real need to spend money in FA on a RB…. Rather get a WR or D help

So what do you do with Sanders? He has flashes then pedestrian games, nothing consistent due to varied QB play/ play calling. RB draftees will take a beating this year. Sanders and Howard seem like they are MIA alot and it's not because we are giving them 25 carries a game

Really the point is as long as Howie and Lurie stick their noses into coaching,we aren;t going anywhere. They hire  people to do jobs, then tell them how to do their jobs

What non-rookie coach is going to welcome that? They better hope Sirianni sticks around for a while because the book is out on 'Lowie'.

See about trade offers, or just let him play out the last year of his deal

If we can retain him cheap maybe I look to extend if not let him walk right now seems like Gains will end up being better suited for Siri O give him a full nfl offseason

How do we know Gains is any good? He never plays. RB play is sporadic and inconsistent just like our passing game

I’m fine with adding a third day hard running back. Cheap-ish FA I’d also consider. Sanders is clearly our lead back. Gainwell is earning his spot. Really liking how he’s stepped in this year. Good hard running against the Jets was huge. Very capable catching also. Scott is the extra that doesn’t bring anything different…..but does all fairly well. Howard….why not give him a chance week by week as long as he can go.

IDK it's so sporadic, I have no clue who the lead back is. There is no consistency on this team from week to week. Sanders is the lead back because someone has to be lol

The way RB's will be bashed this next draft I suspect alot fall quite a ways. I would consider Master Teague from OSU with a final pick or even possibly as a UDFA 5'11 225 . If I can get him that cheap(or free basically) I would see what he's got. Nice understudy to Howard. Since RB is back burner I could add to the room for little to nothing with this pick

After I posted the above I found this

Oh well, I am talking about him lol. Not particularly fast, no juke moves, basically your standard 1 cut runner.Nice lower body strength. A guy who can get you those 3rd and 2's(like Howard). I would drop him on the PS and see what happens(he can catch too, not sure about his blocking skills). Nice solid back, blue collar, worker bee who runs hard and is definitely under the radar

He gets in on a lot of key downs.   I'm a big fan of the committee... Patriots have won for 20 years by using multiple quality RBs.    Gainwell fits perfectly.   I like Sanders in a committee,  but if the idea is that he is a star, turn he can go.    I'm sure we add a couple of days 3 RBs or a quality veteran. The RB room should remain fluid. Use the young guys for 4 years and if you can keep them cheap, then do it.

https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Master-TeagueIII-RB-OhioState  Seems to me he would fine as an RBBC back. I have zero clue why he isn't even ranked on some boards.LMAO the "weaknesses" they list are contradictory to the strengths they list. I think they made up the weaknesses just because they had to put some thing down. I would still put him on the PS and let him learn. Seems his pass blocking skills are fine, run blocking is a bit shaky, but he can learn. has the character we usually like. Smart kid!! So he is my annual DITR RB that I pick every year.Last year was Jaret Patterson, who is contributing now for the Lions

I also like RBBC with good backs. We have seen how teams collapse when they rely on one RB(Dullaz,Tennessee,New Orleans,Carolina). As much as I hate to admit it,Pollard is a nice back in relief

I look at the extremes.   First, if everything is going perfectly, multiple RBs keep each other fresh, you can keep running it without having to stop because you always have a fresh RB. New England at Buffalo is perfect example.  One stud and bunch of duds, the QB can't just throw 3 passes all game because the stud is going to get tired.

Worst case scenario you have injuries, you have multiple quality RBs, you don't lose anything.   Even if you have to pass almost every play, you keep the quality blocking and catching in the game.

I'm not against having a stud RB, as long as he is not an ego problem and the other guys play as well. LeVon Bell- great back in Squeelerville, but his attitude sucked and he was trash after he left there. Happens alot with these prima donna's

Good Morning all.  I figure now is the time to throw out a scenario for all to ponder. First, what do you feel you could get for Hurts? Maybe a 3rd round pick? OK, Let's go with that. Now, you have 2 QBs that could possibly be had with a 3rd rounder also. Carr or Garoppalo. First, Carr is probably a casualty for being too close to the old regime. LV will most likely replace the GM and HC, so Carr will be traded. He would command a 3rd rounder most likely. I also believe Garoppalo will command a 3rd rounder. SF will most likely be all in on Lance, so trading Jimmy is a no brainer. Now, who would you trade for? Both have top 10 stats and are an upgrade over Hurts. You still have 3 first round picks to spend on the D and a WR. This would be a major upgrade and possibly put the Eagles in the play off picture in 2022. Any thoughts? I know Ham is against it so talking to others on here.....

Draft a DE, CB/S, LB and WR with our first 4 picks.....

I brought up Jimmy before. IDK that Lance is ready. Jimmy is playing good ball. Lance has a ways to go,it's not like they have an immediate emergency. The new regime in LV seems to have HELPED Carr. Losing Ruggs hurt and why I want to trade Reagor to them. Waller having a great year. Some adjustments will me made, but I see no reason for them to dump Carr until they get a rook understudy. ARod could end up in NO or Denver (my guess only). Lamar Jackson's body is now injury filled and they run a similar offense to Hurts style, he would be a nice BU in Baltimore. Hard to know if the fins are sold on Tua. Hard to know with all the WR's they have had out this year. Pittsburgh will be QB shopping. If they don't see a promising rookie in the upcoming draft,I could see Wilson there as a year or 3 or even 5 stop gap until they find "their guy". IDK how happy Detroit is with Goff either,so there are alot of moving cogs going on

Jimmy only has 1 year left on his contract so they would need to unload him next season if they want to get anything in return. I can see a 3rd rounder based on the contract issue... Perhaps a conditional pick in 2023...

As a rookie 5th round pick he has 83 touches 446 yards 5 tds in 12 games that isn’t terrible production. And not like we are turning it over to him next season we still have Sanders next year.
