Not saying that. That is a no brainer….to a point.

There are instances of teams that made it far without a superstar at QB, but I will say that it matters a lot more in today’s game.

Cunningham, you want the wins and playoffs for this team really bad. So IF (and I’ve made it clear I dont see it happening) they do make it, they go in to play the 2nd seed at their stadium. A team that in years past would have earned a bye. Do you REALLY think THIS Eagles’ team could compete? Playoff game where they let the players play! This group of young WRs would get manhandled making the passing game completely irrelevant and 8 in the box to make sure the run game wouldn’t work much either. It would be embarrassing so I’m sticking with NO CHANCE.

Doesn't matter what you or I say,we are at the mercy of Howie, nothing we can do about it

Lots of moving parts to a team, alot we don't see behind the scenes. First you need TALENT,then you need ATTITUDE,then you need coaches to bring that together. Then you have to mesh YOUR players(under you) to another coaches(under them). It's so much more complex than we think. next everyone needs to be pulling the same way(like the SB team did). But first thing is talent and development. You miss those 2 things nothing else will work. That plays to your thoughts that not every team excels at every spot(QB included),but the teams that win have the first 2 things and we are still behind. Team rosters are fluid every year, stars will be born, stars will die and on it goes forever

Yes……………so far that is. Liking what I'm seeing from Dickerson. As long as Stout continues to coach I'm very optimistic about the future state of our OL. Lane needs replaced very soon though! Brooks is a HUGE "?" .  I don't think Kelce will be playing much longer either. How long can he mentally deal with the pain? I for one can attest to how chronic pain can literally drive you insane.

How do we know after limited playing time?Mailata was also a "role player" when we drafted him. Dickerson is playing a role? He seems to be a nice starting LG. We can';t know after 1 season with no playing time if we have Cox's replacement because noone is pulling Cox to find out. So if we find a better DE or DT than what we have by all means draft them. If it improves the position, I'm all for it(thats what rebuilding is)

Not many. The team was strapped for cash thanks to Wentz’ contract so they couldn't add significant young talent for this year. Which means they better hit in the draft in a BIG way, and they would be stupid to waste those three high picks on ONE guy…a QB. There are too many holes needing addressed. Find OLine and DLine talent to mold before you lose your current "keepers”.

They actually saved money with Wentz.  Cap isn't my issue. My issue is nobody on 2nd contract.  They actually just spent well over $100 mil or whatever on 2018 draft class. So money is there in the sense they haven't lost anyone, but you nobody in prime age. You got these young potential guys, and the old guys.

These young guys will be in their prime when the old guys leave.    So they need to hit these next couple of drafts,  so they can have continuity within the core.    It's the result of having only Lane, Seamulo and Barnett left from 2013- 2017 drafts.  2019 and 2020 drafts aren't helping either.

Idk nearly enough about college football, nor do I have the time. Thanks for the info.

PAss rushers will come off the board quickly. Hutchinson will be first. Then Thibodeux. Karlaftis….it will be interesting to see where he goes. Probably top ten also. Michigan has Ojabo opposite Hutchinson. He might be next. Think we really need to break down who is the fourth best pass rusher. That’s probably our guy.

Milton already been very involved. He’s athletic. Feel confident in him. He already jumped over quality depth DT. Looks like a good pick. Tarron….made a play if two. See him as a rotational piece going forward. Dickerson looks very good. Gaining confidence every week.

I’m still holding out we could be the sixth seed. But sure ….any given Sunday. Arizona sitting there right now. Didn’t Hopkins just get injured out for the season? I think we have a punchers chance. Cowboys….I’m not scared. Main thing is get that experience. If we get in we are coming in hot at least!

Things are evening out amongst the playoff teams. Zona is better than us but…..without the top WR in the league the gap shrunk.

COVID rampaging the league right now. Some crazy stuff is going to happen here. Browns down to Mullens at QB right now. Skins have like twenty guys on the COVID list. Navigating this postseason could be really strange. Think I’m ready to drop the ‘could’ and am expecting it.

WOW edge guys going 1,2,3,thats pretty amazing!!!(not happening). You are also assuming we choose that position over all the other needs we have

So you moved the walls of the Grand Canyon in 4 feet. "Yeah we can jump that now" The gap shrunk, we're good to go

I'm thinking I'll wait and see how they play after the Bye against WFT. NFL is always week - to - week, but this team (like other young NFL teams) is an extreme to week - to - week. If Siri is allowed to stay with a heavy run game then I like a 50/50 chance.

IDK they are about out of QB's. Defense should feast.but the O needs to score. I picked up Elliott in fantasy since I suspect we stall in the RZ and he will be kicking alot

If we finish the season 7-3 I’m not believing we have no chance at winning a playoff game. We’ve played better on the road than at home. We won’t be favorites…..but I’ve watched this game way too many times to not understand how each game is its own. Anything can happen. Already seeing so much happen since last I brought this up weeks ago. Washington has twenty guys out this week. Just like that…boom. Hopkins just went out for the season. Boom again….top WR done. Keep watching….it’s going to get real interesting.

So you obviously are predicting Shew gets the call

I'm not going to under estimate WFT. A lot of these young guys have a lot of heart and chip on shoulder to go with it. Any given Sunday.

I have no idea. They have a QB and other WR's. Kirk has shown he can pick up some slack and of course Ertz would kick our arse

Both teams built to stop/slow the running game, so it will be won or lost in the air IMO. Should be a chess match. IDK much about this QB they are forced to start

Of coarse they have other players. But if you’ve been paying attention you’d notice they aren’t nearly the juggernaut they were without the top WR in the game.

Quote

Thursday’s practice:

‘It all looks the same to me’

Both Jalen Hurts and Gardner Minshew were on the field practicing Thursday. Reportedly dealing with a high ankle sprain, Hurts, who was a limited participant in practice, did some straight dropbacks before throwing the ball during the individual drill period of practice. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said Wednesday that Hurts and Minshew would split the reps during the walkthrough so both would be prepared for Sunday’s game.

Wide receiver DeVonta Smith has a unique view of Hurts and Minshew, being that he is on the receiving end of their passes during practice and in games. On Thursday, Smith gave credit to Minshew for filling in for Hurts and talked about some differences between the two quarterbacks.

"He came in, and he got the job done,” Smith said. "He came in and did things he was supposed to do. They are two totally different quarterbacks. Jalen is going to run more, and Gardner is going to sit back there more, but they both come in, and they both prepare, so hats off to them.”

There can be a few differences in touch, speed, and the angle the ball leaves the quarterback’s hand when it comes to the type of balls that quarterbacks throw. Smith said that there had not been any significant changes.

"It all looks the same to me,” Smith said.”

LMAO OH we're the juggernaut in that game? Don't see it. They would just hit Ertz all game, they don't need to be a juggernaut

Do you seriously think out LB's could consistently stop Ertz? I don't. Gibson can catch also,so he can pick up some slack too
