According to Sporttrack he's the 28th highest paid guard in the NFL in 2021

So, yes

He's a BU????? Dickerson looks the part, Linderbaum (Ham's boy) is basically free. You decide. Maybe he is worth 6 to another team, but not to me,so trade him while the iron is hot

So can Dickerson and he's a rook(on rook pay)

SO the question is is he worth 6 million to us in the future? You know he won't sign a 1 year. Are you certain this is your starter for the next few years? Really, I have no opinion, but if we can find another guy and save 6 million I would pull that trigger(so I iied and I guess that is my opinion LOL). This one will be interesting

OH WOW,I just relized this is going to eff up fantasy for EVERYONE HAHAHA. Most FA's come out Tuesday morning HAHAHAHA OH BOY

This combo with Mailata seems to be working well and they both will get even better, aka if it ain't broke don't fix it

So if you keep Dickerson at LG and kelce goes down.........................

The top paid guards are 18mil, 15, 12 11 and 10

6 mil is value for a quality  backup

So then why not keep both?

Is he going to play LG, RG and C all at once?

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/breakdown/   FWIW this is how CHEAP we spend at LB LOL

Ridiculous with everything on the line we have to face a short week to end the season. It already was bad enough we had such a pathetically late bye week.

WTH kind of moronic question is that? Of COURSE!!!

The only reason I could understand doing something with Seumalo contract wise is because we have to pay 3.8 mil in dead money after next season. Typical Rosie Magic contract you guys love.

So on the rolling cap we owe Seumalo 11.5 mil

I would think he would want a long term contract, not just a year to year. Just make sure this is the guy you want to pay for awhile or stop complaining about cap spending. You can't have it both ways

He has 2 years left, about 11 mil combined cap hit. He should start both years, you can figure out what you want to do going forward... it's not significant enough to worry about.  You keep him and go from there.  He is a guy that has a chance to be here for 5 years and start.    You need to build a team, not create more holes.  The extra holes are coming with the old guys finishing up their careers soon,  you don't need to make more holes. Not for $6 mil.

Draft well, keep your money for 2023, when you will need to replace the old guys.

Very interesting. I always like the small school guys getting the showcase. Not sure I’ve seen four potential first round QBs in the Senior Bowl before. Kind of lame that Carson Strong can’t play in his bowl game for a school that it means a lot for….but is playing in the Senior Bowl.

I'm not blaming anyone... we just don't need more holes.  What's missing from this current team is guys in their 2nd contract.   I think he is the only one at the moment.   I'm not in a rush to get rid of that.

Get rid of Seamulo.    That can be nobody left from 2014,15,16 and 17 drafts... with only Lane left from 2013.  Imagine pick #4 from 2013 and then thr next guy is a 2nd round TE in 2018.    That sums up the Eagles issues..nothing to do with contracts or QBs, or intangibles or any other little petty crap people come up with.  The big picture is the issue!

They actually saved money with Wentz.  Cap isn't my issue. My issue is nobody on 2nd contract.  They actually just spent well over $100 mil or whatever on 2018 draft class. So money is there in the sense they haven't lost anyone, but you nobody in prime age. You got these young potential guys, and the old guys.

These young guys will be in their prime when the old guys leave.    So they need to hit these next couple of drafts,  so they can have continuity within the core.    It's the result of having only Lane, Seamulo and Barnett left from 2013- 2017 drafts.  2019 and 2020 drafts aren't helping either.

Hold on. SAVED? Money with Wentz? Didnt they have to pay him this year and it took up about a fifth of the whole team’s available cap space for 2021? Going forward the contract is gone, but 2021 it counts. I could be wrong and am happy to admit that if so, but that’s what I understood when the trade happen.
Absolutely agree that the failed drafts for several years is the cause of the current problems. AND the stupid trade. Yes, I am still whining about it. I’ll get over it when the Eagles find a competent QB. 😳
