Feels like Reagor has become the fourth option now anyway. Quez is number two. Feels like we are better off with Ward than Reagor. That’s all behind what Goedert feeds on at TE.

Well as most know I wanted JJ along with every other sane fan on this planet,so I was PO'd from the get go,but I was willing to give him time. For me that time has expired. I was even willing to give him(yet another) year, but at his presser he seemed uncaring about his drops and frankly with that suck attitude,he  became replaceable,so I would have NP if we traded him for basically anything. maybe a nice rook S or lineman someone would trade for and as I still say I would have NP taking a top WR in rounds 1-2. Ward will never be a star but we could do worse

If he improves as a passer because there hasn’t been huge gains in 2 years from the games I watch that’s concerning to me.

I acknowledge his ability as a runner but the rest is mediocre at best

Absolutely disagree. I’ve seen much more than that from him as a passer. Many times in the clutch and on third downs. His ability as a runner is elite. So the question still remains: Do you not believe he’ll dedicate himself and put in the work to improve? I think he already has been. Seems obvious to me he will. I like how Siri put it: "guys like him reach their ceiling.”

So that is the concern, is this his ceiling? And how do you know it is or isn't? He's going to get a GOOD TEST Saturday

This is grand and all but what happens when we have a half like against the giants you think TB or the Rams are just going to sit there and wait for us to get going????

As it stands now of the ground game isn’t working the offense stalls that’s a problem. The ability to hit some easy passes air it out some to help open up the ground game when needed is a most and we haven’t shown to be able to do that yet

The issue here….Howard looks like he might be done. Scott is a quality hard working RB. Nothing special though. Gainwell…..had a few great tough runs and showed in the passing game. Incomplete grade. Come this playoff game we are a different team with Sanders back. He has to be ready to go or we got big problems

I like having the banger RB. It's pointless to me to have 3 clone RB's. Need a basher for diversity. If we need to draft a late one of those if Howard is "done"which I am not convinced he is) then we need to do it. Loved the gainwell pick, but we need a dozer type

Dude, he hasn’t reached his ceiling. He’s right at a solid starting level right now. But there are some fundamental things he can still easily improve his passing game with.

Doesn’t look like Howard has anything left. Gainwell is the best pass catcher.

I’d be surprised if he played Saturday….in fact….he’s not.

It’s not just Hurts growth but that of Siri and Steichen. A few weapons added will be nice also. Could make the case for a WR, IOL andRB.

I don’t know if ‘Banger’ is exactly accurate. A guy that runs hard and finishes runs would be more fitting. I don’t want him to be some slow slug pushing for two or three yards. Still want him to be able to bust some big plays.

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/dameon-pierce-florida-rb-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2022/   I like this kid, another clone, but still he could be a nice steal like Gainwell was. IDK IMO Sanders seems to be becoming unreliable, not that he is not good, but he seems "out" WAY too often. If this kid slips into  late 4-5 I would have to take a look. He is a good blocking RB which is always needed

I dont care how he gets me 2-3 yards or how fast he gets there LOL

So that kills off finding out how good Hurts is then. So we're just going to coddle him too or are we going to toughen him up? I don;t feel Hurts is at the level he needs saved. He needs the TOUGH experience to learn,or why have him??? Shew had to deal with it,why does Hurts get another pass???? Effing STUPID

We don't know this, you are GUESSING. he hasn't played anyone TOUGH to deal with. There is only one way to find out and that's to play vs the TOUGH defenses and beat them consistently and there is ZERO way you know that. I want him to play the team that traps him and sacks him 5-6 times HARD. THEN you will see what emerges from that. This is the stuff we don't know yet.You claim he is tough, but refuse to play him when it gets tough???? He needs to sink or swim and he needs to do it now

So you want to be a SB contender with your starting QB on the sideline? What happened to "Philly tough"? Bunch of wussies. You dont want Hurts to play vs Dullaz, even though there is a chance we could play them again? You don't want your QB to have that experience for game 2 if needed? Siri is wrong on this one and I will call him out

No, we don't have any bigger problems than normal. The "normal" problems are in the passing attack, not the running game. And our lackluster defense manages to amaze me all the time and has saved hurts butt multiple times. SO I want to see a game where Hurts isn't "saved". I want to see him utilize every aspect of his game and win on those merits, not being saved by last minute defensive plays. This is where you and I differ, you think he is a star and I think he is unproven STILL. I want him to put the team on his back(and by this I DONT mean running around crazy all day) I want him to use his tools. I want to see the gears in his brain working and I want those light bulbs come on

Since Dullaz stated outright they are playing their starters, will Siri start Hurts? What are we saving him for? You made the playoffs(by slopping your way in) now you are backing off? Very sad display IMO. And if Shew WINS that game what do you do now Ham???? LOL And if you deny Hurts the start you are robbing him of the experience playing vs a tough team you can learn from and if you lose that game you can see where you need to adjust if we have to face them AGAIN. If Hurts doesn't start that is a coaching fail IMO

I think defense is a big part of this team game. They need to do their part. Why should Hurts have to carry everything?

I’ll look into things more and see. My first thoughts are you are getting ‘rope a doped’ by old Jerrah the oil man. Most coaches say their starters are going to not make it so simple to gameplan for the backups.

But it’s not robbing our QB1. That test is playoff game. Need that ankle healed up to its fullest for that game.

Sometimes the O has to drive and score at the end. Sometimes the D has to get a stop. That’s football to me.

Lmao and you avoid the bigger issue we can’t pass our entire offense is dictated on our ability to run.

Yeah….uhhhhhh….ARod and Mahomes might be too high a bar.

Why???? Why would I want my bar to be any less then greatness.

We can pass. But we are the best in ages at running the ball.

Did I say he can’t improve??? Because I’m pretty sure the whole original post was of things he needs to improve if he wants to become elite even stating he needs to go out and get the best possible QB coach available in the off season.

To me he hasn’t shown massive improvements in 2 years as an nfl player as a passer. So yes I have my concerns but being able to progress through reads faster, anticipate throws, improved footwork and who knows hence again the top part of getting the best QB coach for the offseason…. Takes 10,000 plus reps to make things muscle memory anything less and Hurts just reverts to his old habits

Just now, cunninghamtheman said:

Lmao we can’t pass or did the first half of the giants game show you something else I didn’t see or the first giants game or basically any game when the ground game isn’t starting strong???

And to top all that off it’s vs terrible teams that let us stay in games and allow us to keep using the ground game… again this won’t happen vs a playoff team

The simple question I have is if we play the Bucs and we can’t run which could be very possible vs what the 3rd ranked run D in football. Do you see us winning the game???
