Did I say he can’t improve??? Because I’m pretty sure the whole original post was of things he needs to improve if he wants to become elite even stating he needs to go out and get the best possible QB coach available in the off season.

To me he hasn’t shown massive improvements in 2 years as an nfl player as a passer. So yes I have my concerns but being able to progress through reads faster, anticipate throws, improved footwork and who knows hence again the top part of getting the best QB coach for the offseason…. Takes 10,000 plus reps to make things muscle memory anything less and Hurts just reverts to his old habits

Lmao we can’t pass or did the first half of the giants game show you something else I didn’t see or the first giants game or basically any game when the ground game isn’t starting strong???

Second start threw for 338 yards.

Third start threw for 342 yards.

Fourth start threw for 264 and 3 TD.

Sixth start threw for 326 yards.

Seventh start threw for 387 yards.

Seems like some passing to me. But yeah if we dominate with the ground game shouldn’t need to be throwing but so much.

Then what 8 weeks of under 200 yards passing lmao 🤣 it’s easy to pad stats in blowouts so happy for those 300 yards in the 41-21 blowout vs Dallas and the 300 yards in the 42-30 blowout lose to the Chiefs

We can’t pass

I think defense is a big part of this team game. They need to do their part. Why should Hurts have to carry everything?

Why do they need to bail him out over and over?

I’ll look into things more and see. My first thoughts are you are getting ‘rope a doped’ by old Jerrah the oil man. Most coaches say their starters are going to not make it so simple to gameplan for the backups.

I really could care less who starts for Dullaz at QB,but I want Hurts to face a decent defense now

But it’s not robbing our QB1. That test is playoff game. Need that ankle healed up to its fullest for that game.

Are we still on the ankle issue that was 3 weeks ago?????

BS Hurts needs this experience IF we have to PLAY THEM again in a playoff game

Sometimes the O has to drive and score at the end. Sometimes the D has to get a stop. That’s football to me.

With the trash teams we have played we should have scored enough to where the D doesn't need to save them

"Star quarterback Jalen Hurts, was among two listed as limited participants."    Oh I missed this,he became a STAR!!!!! I didn't know!!!

Jeff Lurie has hired 5 head coaches since buying the Eagles in
1994 Ray Rhodes: 10-6 won wild-card game 1st year
Andy Reid: 11-5 won wild-card game 2nd year
Chip Kelly: 10-6 made playoffs 1st year
Doug Pederson: 13-3 won S.B. 2nd year
Nick Sirianni: 9-7 made playoffs 1st year

So far coaches that have made the playoffs year one under Lurie haven’t been that successful. Hope Siri bucks the trend

I think it's definitely a concern... But I also think it's one of those funny little coincidences in the NFL. Like what correlation can there really be?

Lol.... the competition absolutely matters.  When they can't do anything on offense,  it's easier to keep running the ball.    All the numbers and results are skewed due to the competition... or lack their of.   It baffles my mind how people don't see this?   Aren't we supposed to be the educated fan base?

Could be false sense of success.   Although this particular year.... not making the playoffs would have been a sign of pure pathetic coaching.

If the organization takes the humble approach... or should I say the more realistic approach... then there is a better chance they build something.  Otherwise this has Chip and Rhodes written all over it.   You can look particularly at the QB position in both instances as a reflection of where the franchise was both times.

People tend to ignore the obvious when trying to prove a point. Ham has had many great points during the years. He has been hanging onto Hurts as a Elite QB and it is comical. No one can say he has shown signs of this yet. But Ham is throwing out stats to prove his points. He is ignoring the competition and performances against other play-off teams. He ignores garbage time stats. Look, I want Hurts to succeed as much as anyone, but I am a realist enough to know he has not even come close to what I need as my Starting QB for the next 10 years....

Yes he is a great runner, That is about where it ends. However, Hurts has started to show signs the past few weeks. I am not giving up, but Ham needs to relax a bit. Let's see how Hurts performs moving forward. Assuming Lurie gives him that chance...

When he runs to his right, he can make a throw.   In 20 games haven't seen him do anything while running left.   Idk about signs?    Is he staying in the pocket to make that 3rd and 4th read and then making a throw 15 yards downfield?    Or is the he running out of the pocket to his right and buying time... and then the coverage just breaks down and so someone is left open on a busted route that's not part of the actual play?

Results come in many different ways, for many reasons.    Regular season is different.  Playoffs where you face the best teams in a win or go home atmosphere is completely different.   Ask Baltimore fans!

Yes, He has stood in the pocket last week and made throws instead of running. That toss to Ward is a prime example . That is a sign. Not anything running to his left yet. One of the things he has to work on...

The toss to Ward where he ran out of the pocket toward his right and hit Ward around the 7 yard line?

I will watch the game again Joe. I am not the only one saying he stood in the pocket and made throws to 2nd and 3rd looks on Sunday.  I may have gotten the plays wrong, but I know he stood in the pocket on many throws and did a much better job with his reads.

I know what you mean but I don't agree. If the Eagles would have missed the play offs this year nobody would have been surprised. I don't think that would be on Sirianni as such. He's shown that he's a decent HC so far with potential and I think he could have done so even if we missed the play offs?

Then the in fighting begins and they blame all these people and the ":stupid" people they force to try doing it alone 🤣

With a younf staff and basically his first full year,I believe Hurts has done enough that he will stay. It saddens me however that Shew, who is a decent QB who played behind total crap in Jax won't get his chance to prove he can start somewhere ona decent team. I don't believe shew is quite the caliber QB to go to a SB,but I still quietly believe he is better than Hurts. With our solid O line, Shew looked really good IMO,but egotist Howie won't have that. It would make his pick look bad and like the egotist/ narcissist who would rather force being "right" over making the team better, we;re going to be stuck with Hurts. Someone will life Shew off us then we will be forced to sell the farm for a QB come the '23 Draft(If we had to do it I would take Young). So if we can nail most of THESE draft picks, then I suppose we could do that and sell the farm in '23 for the last position that matters. I don't see any other pathway unless we pull out the wallet

Been saying all along he is a RB who can throw some(that's what a college RPO offense is predicated on)

Look into high ankle sprains and recovery times. Usually out five weeks.

Here's my question. We were stumbling along with the college RPO BS offense and it seemed obvious(at least to me) that approach was not working here. The offense was sporadic at best and AWFUL at worst. Failure to move the ball was costing the defense as they were(once again) playing 40 minutes a game. I started bishing about this week 2 and never stopped bishing. I cant remember if it was week 11 or 12 when I saw this team with the RPO GONE and replaced with PRO style play action. This STOPPED the stupid "linemen downfield" penalties. The O line went back to doing what are suppose to do OPEN HOLES for the RB's and give the QB time to throw, which we could not do despite Luries moronic comment that "we need to throw more". Hurts never had a chance as a QB who can run the show. he simply doesn't have the experience. And when we took the game away from him and went pro style,we all saw the effectiveness of our team increase ALOT. For me personally, that was the DAY that BEGAN Hurts learning curve. before that we were trying to ACCOMODATE HIM not teach him. Now he is LEARNING and I would really love to know who made this long awaited decision
