Hoping Miami Loss so we can grab a top 15 pick. Maybe as low as 12....

This always made plenty of sense. Root for Miami and Indy to lose and suck. We have both of their first round picks. But some are obsessed with us tanking for a better pick. Clear obvious other options this year to root towards.

true, but had we even tried to run the football I am sure that TOP would have swung a bit in our favor....

Had our Oline together would have been nice also.  Lane was out. Mailata playing injured…..at RT(his worst game).

I wanted to lose starting week 12 lol

But you just got to put everything on the line in a meaningless game week 18? Wanting the team to lose and quit fighting week 12 really softens your stance and opinions.

I miss the old days, when men were men and played with broken teeth, bloody noses and broken bones. Now it's just bubble ball wussies trying to find the next excuse not to play

Your old days were praying for the team to lay down week 12

2008 they beat a few winning teams during the season ...including both the top seeded Giants and the eventual SB winning Steelers.    They were not really a bad team, just had luck getting in the last week.

Luck has a lot to do with it

Like the luck of playing teams without their starting QB this year

yeah I agree. I saw the "Concept" change I think it was week 11 or 12 when we went to a more pro style and thing began to click a little. I want Young in 2023 but we'd have to basically tank the whole season to get him. Catch 22. I think Hurts played well enough to keep his job for the moment,so I agree this is the year to hit every other spots, but as you said Howie loves making waves, getting QB's and expecting them to play all 11 positions on offense by himself. Now I really want to see Shew start. He has more experience and if he can beat da boyz then Howie needs to rethink things Shew played alot better here than in Jax because he had no Oline in jax,so if given the shot I'd like to see what he can do vs a formidable team(not the Jets lol)

Yep, all about giving Shew a chance to prove to be a starter…..or not. He’s clearly a backup. Moving on….

Not even looking at Hurts... if a dude has an opinion that Russell Wilson is the 12th best QB ... THIS YEAR... right there I don't consider that opinion any good.

What do you have Wilson ranked this year?

Who was the Saints QB and how many points did the Saints score in the first half?    It is what it is... a legit NFL opponent next week, first time in 2 months.

You’ve come up with excuses for eleven or so of Hurts games. Always some reason everything was handed to us. Missing a QB(our top paid player QB plays for the Colts) that money couldn’t help us actually be better could it? Missing Pro Bowl player. Brooks went down right at the begging of the season. Extra damage because our solid other starting G has been out all year also. Us starting G 3-6 doesn’t qualify….it’s just other teams injuries that matter. What about us missing our top pass rusher? Only matters if it’s our opponent, right?

Point was,if your team is any good at all, your offense is on the field more than your defense

I miss the old days when real fans didn’t beg and whine for their team to tank all season.

These players are on the COVID list

Dickerson and Johnson are injured and can’t practice.

Sanders is out

I don’t understand all the COVID rules. But it feels like we are playing the game here. Getting these key players in early before the playoff matchup. I don’t know what the advantage is but…..would bet there is a key significance.

I know I’m only one person….but I have a track record. Oh wait…..you were talking about the other guy’s opinion that was similar.

You are 14th on this board?

I said he was dialed back because if managing just injury. You want him to go push it further and be really hobbled for the playoff game….just so you can ride him about a poor playoff performance to invalidate him. If the game doesn’t matter….week 18 game doesn’t for us….then what can you really gain?

LMFAO -STOP my sides are hurting again

Yes…you’re right a meaningless week 18 game versus the Cowboys is much more important than a playoff game. Your priorities are spot on.

How about experience vs a team you may face later????? yeah to hell with that. No need to learn a thing(yep they are spot on thanks for validating)

Experience vs Dallas or…..playoff experience? I want everybody in best form for the playoff game.

Isnt playing the division winner actually playoff experience? They won the division you know??? We could see them down the line later????

That’s fact. High ankle sprain. That’s why you missed the whole point in the story from Siri about Hurts telling him everything is on the table in this must win game.

So Shew couldn't have won that game since they only had 1 offensive weapon? Kinda like playing the jets? But no you risk him for that game 🤣🙄

This is so dumb. You’ve been crying and whining about wanting us to tank games. Now….when the game does nothing and has no importance for us….you’re all in on it being a must win game. No idea where your logic comes from?

I’m interested in what some  of these other guys can do. A bunch of guys haven’t really played much. Great opportunity to not just see these third or fourth string Oline…..but all these young DBs we’ve been rostering.

Why are you interested now and at no time the rest of the season?

Totally fine with the backup getting hurt instead of the starter. Works for me.

Excellent so in round 2 when a starter gets hurt we have no BU's because they are all hurt LOL. I'm paying guys to play 17 games not 16(and believe me they got their compensation for game 17)

No. Just that simple…no. Playoff experience is….playoff experience. Next closest thing would be a must win game to get into the playoffs. Check…week 17. Week 18 zero relevance games are all for the Tank Fan Crowd.

He’s working on it. Give him time. This was his first season starting geeez

yeah he just got here, didn't have a 1 year to study or nuttin. Didn't play at all last year not one snap. 15 games played this year, how long are you willing to wait for progress???? I did see a LITTLE last week(took long enough)

Let Shew do it week 18 then. Get all pumped and shake and hulk up. Headbutt some things. Good entertainment. Exactly what Shew is good for.

Just to put in my 2 cents. If i'm the Eagles staff i'm sitting every starter i can.

Especially the ones that are dinged up at all.

Just forfeit, save everyone that way. Start the cheerleaders, no need for pride or anything.Just walk off the field after the first 1/4

I’ve been talking about these young guys for weeks. Probably especially the DBs. But you don’t just go and bench Slay to see how so snd so off somebody else practice squad performs. That’s just loser football mentality. They should get their chances week 18 though. Like to see some positives from the young inexperienced youth.
