Your acting like their starters are ARod. Not that kind of dropoff. But I can see that. Why can’t you see we are a new team with rookie coaches that were kind of flailing early on? Didn’t understand the identity of the team. Took a bit to get things implemented. I’d that not fair? Give the new coaches and players half a season to get it going.

Ok... it needs to be Rodgers for it to matter now.   And preparation doesn't matter either... only for Hurts whom we need to give a decade to improve??  Lol.   It's an absolute factor.

I'm making a call now... page 1455...

My call is that you will be absolutely criticizing and focusing 100% on it being the coaches fault we lost.   Totally oblivious to the competition factor.

I think you are overblowing Heinicke, Jones and Winston. If it was ARod and Brady out? That’s a huge factor.

I think you are lazy and don't do research.    I stated plenty of times to look at these teams games since we started playing them.    They can't score.  Not just on the Eagles,  but their other games.  Look at the last 7 games from Denver, Saints, Giants, Redskins... there is a pattern there,  they don't score.   Jets are the only team putting up points and they didn't have the QBs against us that have been putting up the points.

It's an absolute factor

Alright No Mas, seems you’ve touted our Oline as the best. Which player you can’t win his matchup in the run game: Mailata? Dickerson? Kelce? Johnson? Stoll? Goedert? Who can we not consistently run behind?

Then we should win the Superbowl,  why play the games?   Obviously the opponent doesn't matter in your world.  If we lose its 100% coaching.

That’s a crazy leap. But what team scares you so much with their Dline that we can’t run the ball on them?

Nobody scares me.  It's a team game, not just OL vs DL.   We have to stop the other team, as they possess the ball, it will rest their defense, making it harder to dominate... it's a factor.

I’m just saying it was extreme negligence how underutilized Sanders was to start the season. It wasn’t because of the opponent. It was us….holding ourselves back. Was it Siri being a rookie coach? Some think the FO gave a mandate to pass…was it them? Didn’t make sense at the time. I’d think, and have seen , experienced that the best weapon against good opposing QBs is controlling the ball on offense. Keep that QB off the field and not hot. A mean pass rush is the next answer.

Goes both ways. We need to control the ball to keep them off the field. We need our D to get stops so our O doesn’t get cold. Our vanilla D to start the season wasn’t doing any of that. They still aren’t world beaters. But they’ve tightened things up and disguise and do more now. Not just a recent opponent thing. The D has grown under Gannon with time. Then have the O control the ball as much as possible. Which we’ve been doing more now. Became the top rushing team. We always were….just needed coaches to catch up.

Let's take closer look at the Eagles since the Detroit game.   5 games with Sanders...they averaged 200.6 / game rushing.   4 games without Sanders,  they averaged 186.5 per game.   That huge factor of 14 yards makes a big leap in the rankings with all those teams rushing for 190 per game...lol.

Now... let's look at the QB situation when Sanders was playing.... in those 4 games we won.

Saints... 3rd string,   Jets , rookie Wilson coming back from injury.    Washington ... Garret Gilbert.   Giants = Glennon and Jake Fromm state farm.

I'm going to ask the silly question that should have the obvious answer.... what was the bigger impact...Miles Sanders or the opposing QB?

Howard kicked butt for  a couple of games. He’s out of juice now though. So Sanders is the key to our rushing attack dominating in the playoffs.

But let's dive deeper... see how our opponents have done since the Detroit game

Detroit 8 games... 5 they have scored 16 or less.

Denver last 7 games ... 5 games 13 or less

Saints last 6 games...5 games 18 or less. 3 of them 9 or less.

Last 6 games.... one game they scored 20, the other 5 nothing over 17.

Giants last 7 games...  one game 21, one game 13, two games 10... then 3, 6 and 9.

Brutal offenses. That have done worse vs other opponents.

Dude... you see where you are at...  Eagles,  Dominating and playoffs all in the same thought?     Wtf happened to you?   Sure you were very much into yourself as a poster, but you used to bring some reality to the table.

And vs any decent NFL offense we haven't been doing that enough to make it a one sided game where the rushing gets skewed.   Our offense held the ball fine vs KC and Chargers... didn't do much there.

Just be ready for reality, you haven't seen a legit NFL opponent in 2 months.

We can’t do everything….but we can run the ball with Sanders on anybody. Sticking with it. Want to see where we stand in a playoff matchup. I believe we have a punchers chance.

Legit NFL opponent? You mean the best of the best? Yep, let’s see where we stand.

Unfortunately, because of terrible management, this is the state of the NFL now. You have lawyers run your league and you get more rules, everything about liability, and diluting the product into water, and what you get is a mediocre product with bodies dropping left and right.

So what will be the differentiating factor in a league like this- game planning that minimizes injury and innovation in the medical department / body management. The Eagles have a chief medical officer from UPenn and he's doing things I haven't seen before. We are one of the healthiest teams in the league still and run blocking is a bodily movement that inflicts far less injury than pass blocking over time.

You will probably continue to see better teams fall because there is no longer any causality between being the better team and coaching staff and winning. And I used to watch every game too....

Which means what???? Nice essay, but we were beat up in 2020, so I don't see much difference. All teams have chief medical officers and they all need to qualify as such. IDK about "terrible management". They put tents on the sidelines for quick evaluations,so IDK what else the NFL can do unless they want med stats taped to every player. I'm no fan of Goodells, but I feel they have done the best they can. And you also have to know the NFLPA has to allow whatever the NFL suggests. We are "healthier" because we got younger, not a real shocker

By my logic we haven’t gotten there yet. You are basing everything on a new team….their first games. I think we’ve improved since then. You are saying we cant because of our weak schedule at the end. I’m saying we’ve figured some things out since that Raiders game.

I thought that last win was a big one. Washington was a desperate team and played us hard. Got the early lead. Then had a nice halftime lead. We overcame all that to victory. All the pressure was on us. We responded through adversity. That was a big step in my book.

Once again open a hole and I can run through it. The problem now becomes we will face better defenses with actual talent at LB, so hitting that 2nd level becomes more difficult.Teams are figuring out how to contain Hurts. That is a good thing, it forces him to become a better passer which we are all waiting for and what we saw a glimpse of last week

Nobody has contained Hurts. I’d say the Cowboys have good personnel to try. Parsons, Gregory and Lawrence are pretty fast. Those guys should be a problem for him. But the only thing that’s slowed him is his high ankle sprain.

I can agree with this and IDK who was at fault. Week 12(or 11) we gave up the stupid college offense and did much better when we did. So who know who is to blame, but Im glad it was changed. IDk that we need Sanders, lets see what our draft pick can do? Thats why we draft them. In a game that won't matter great time so let him learn

They had a nice 1/2 time lead with ONE offensive weapon. 50% of their offense was not there(Gibson). Easy-at 1/2 time figure out how to blanket McLaurin and you stop their offense(which we did)

Now my question is,knowing McLaurin was their offense, why didn't we do this from the start of the game??? Sounds like piss poor planning to me,and this late in the season, that is an issue. No reason at all we should have gotten behind

Right, like I said we will face teams with actual talent at LB. IDK even know who will play this game,so it could be useless to even watch. Let Gainwell and Huntley work the game so we know what we have. They will probably play 2/3rd string LB's so nothing will be learned this week
