I can't say "good game", but I learned more tonight than I figured I would. It was nice seeing some BU's at least hold their own for the most part,so it wasn't all negative for me

I'm just anti spending money when you don't need to. I would rather have guys grow WITH the team rather than try outsiders. We started the pipeline and I dont want to go back to FA dipping again

https://walterfootball.com/scoutingreport2022tburks.php Yep

I'll spend money on a Diggs.    Age 26 and proven.    The issue is the Eagles went the old route with Wentz.    They f##ked him...  setting up nicely for the next QB though.   You get a guy in her with Smith and Watkins... plus Goedert,  definitely give the next QB a team he can have immediate success with.

Smith is not successful as a rookie???? We can't draft another success without spending money? I heartily disagree

Imo... this year’s draft was on point.   Might not have any all pros... but seems like 3 solid picks and important positions.  Plus getting an extra one from Miami.

Day 3 is the most important IMO... but that's due to sheer volume. 4 rounds, plus UDFA.   You can miss on a ton, but 2 guys come through and you look like a genius.     With the first 2 days, you have limited picks to get the top talent.   Very important to hit those picks, keep those players from going to other teams, ... and then you still have the volume of picks/ UDFA on day 3.

That there is no need to add to the RB room. If you want a UDFA or 2 fine, but there is no reason to spend draft capital. I learned that my initial thought on Jjaw was correct, he needs to hit the bricks. Reagor needs to either be traded or relegated to a reduced role(which I stated before so I guess I already ;learned that lol) There was some nice play by the BU RG's and jackson could be a force if he can ever get to 100% health as TE3

That's great... I'm not worried about money if it's worth it.   $$$ is only an issue on failed players.

93's trade back scenario is looking good right now. Depends how the draft goes

It could go either way obviously. Draft any position…get a FA for any position. I’ve been thinking since our WR room was all young they could benefit from a vet.

Why spend it if you dont have to? It's not my fault Howie took Reagor over JJ lol. I would rather spend it on a CB or S since I see none to this point that are coming along well enough to be starters. McPherson didn;t look that good

Smith is doing well without a vet???? Why is having a vet so dang important to you? Either you can play or you can't. That's why we have coaches

If a player fails I would rather it be at rook pay(see reagor)

Never want to spend if you don’t have to. But we will actually have some to spend now. Proven NFL talent is more reliable than the draft. I’m looking big picture on all this. I’m not so locked in to we have to go FA or draft at any certain positions at this point. Let’s not forget trade. Almost guarantee Rosie pulls a big trade this year with all our draft ammo.

Smith set a record without a vet??? IDK understand this thinking at all. We wanted get younger and we did,ow you want more old men added lmao

1. RB shouldn't have been a top priority.  If a day 3 guy is there, we still should take him.   Nothing changed.

2.  Reagor and JJAW... how many times do we need to see it.

3. Is the backup RG ...really the backup RG?  I imagine Dickerson and Driscoll still hold those spots.  But perhaps down the line that guy can move up.

4.  Shame with the TE Jackson.  3rd TE though,  he will still have opportunity in the offseason to grow.

Still haven't beaten a starter on a winning team since.... was it Dak or Jones last year?    Good thing is we locked in on best draft slot out of the playoff teams and Dallas dropped a little.    Funny, you've been seeing me talk about the Eagles BS success.... Dallas beats up the bad teams and then gets the dose of reality come playoffs.. like clockwork for like 25 years.    Fans are talking crap...it's hilarious.

Sure,as I said get a S or CB or even a LB because the BU's I saw are NOT READY to take the reins at those positions,so an FA fill there would be better than at WR IMO

I don’t agree with that. That’s a bug part of the whole pipeline idea to me. We always had that bada22 pass rusher. Developed the next guy under him. And just keep it going. Very valuable is the vet experience. Coaching important also.

We pretty much said the same things here

What's a pass rusher have to do with WR's? If you want vets there I am ok with that. At WR not needed, they are coming out of college NFL ready

What are you saving it for.... $$$ and draft picks are used to fill holes and build the puzzle. The method wasn't important in 2017... why would it matter now. If a 26 year old proven guy is there to be had... it's an option.   Buffalo all of a sudden magically changed... you don't think Diggs was a big factor?   He is a game changer for that offense.

Spend draft pick and hit...you don't need to spend money... spend money and hit, you don't need to spend draft pick... either way it works for me.

Just now, joemas6 said:

because they had noone before, and they needed to give their QB a weapon so of course he would be. All we need is another top WR draft pick(a successful one) Then we can talk about a QB here

I don't want a player to fail.   Dumbest movie, yet I agree..." if you're not first your last "       failing is failing.  Can't go in with that mentality.   The dude that is 26 that already had success... that dude shouldn't fail. Especially next to Smith.

I try this FIRST. I saw noone in the secondary step up tonight to the point they could start,so I would spend the loot on defense

They had a nice group of weapons....missing a #1.    It's where I feel we ate.  Smith and Goedert jump to the next level if another guy takes the attention of the defense.

IDK that they would find success with Hurts as our QB. Your going to pay 15 million for the same production you can get from a rook with THIS QB

There is no chronological order for me here.    Just get the players.  We overthink the method... it's the same idea for me of not taking LB in round 1.    We need to stop worrying about the method and just focus on getting the players.
