IDK that they would find success with Hurts as our QB. Your going to pay 15 million for the same production you can get from a rook with THIS QB

I'm saying Hurts isn't going to be the QB for long.   My focus is on long term.  This team isn't going anywhere any time soon.

There is no chronological order for me here.    Just get the players.  We overthink the method... it's the same idea for me of not taking LB in round 1.    We need to stop worrying about the method and just focus on getting the players.

Tell Howie that please

Right so take a WR in the draft and you have him 4-5 years. BTW if we draft 3 in round 1 do we get all 3 on 5th year options?

I had Diggs.  It was easy....then you can draft other spots... you see what I'm saying.  Either way, just get the player and move on to the next position.

if your focus Joe is long term then don;t pay 15 million for 2-3 years while you wait for a QB

Diggs just finished his 2nd season with Buffalo... you see him going anywhere any time soon?  Same thing. Don't over think.

They have a passing QB?????

Why is it 2-3 years if it's a 26 year old stud?    This is your issue...you think free agent means old guy.  That's not what I'm talking about.

Why would Buffalo lose Diggs?

Yes...now you get it.   Draft or free agent... if it's a 4th -5th year 26 year old that you can build from...not the 30 year old final contract guy.

Smith has 900 yards(with a RUNNING QB). We can get  another WR that can also do that with out spending a dime. 2 x 900 yards I will take all day and it cost me nothing

GL finding a team that will part with one lol

Right... this is the type of FA I'm talking about.... for some reason you  are limiting your mind to an old dude?

How do you plan on getting him out of Buffalo?

Ok... so.. Jason Peters... Jon Runyan... Troy Vincent... Malcolm Jenkins...  these type of free agents entering their primes.   This type of FA and draft picks are the 2 methods of building a long term winner.   Which positions get drafted or added in FA doesn't matter to me.

Oh well out for the night TC all

Sure,as I said get a S or CB or even a LB because the BU's I saw are NOT READY to take the reins at those positions,so an FA fill there would be better than at WR IMO

Right,or none at all,get a UDFA

We need youth in our Secondary though. Slay, Nelson, Harris, McLeod. Slay looks in his prime. The others in the twilight and not under contract. All our WR are young so a vet there doesn’t make us old. See the difference? But I’m liking the early strength of this WR class. Really looking like we could have a very good option available to us in our draft position. Two Ohio St guys, Bama kid, USC(I think) London, Arkansas kid. Kind of feels like the WR aren’t going to be top of the draft. So right in our wheelhouse. Also looking like several Oline will still be available. Things tend to work best when you don’t force things and go with the flow. So I’m just dealing with reality.

GB.... I'm talking about Diggs 2 years ago.   When Buffalo got him.   That's the type of move I'm talking about.  Either draft or a stud at the age Diggs was when Buffalo got him.  Lol.  Why is this hard to understand.   It doesn't need to be Diggs specifically....he is just the example.

Smith is doing well without a vet???? Why is having a vet so dang important to you? Either you can play or you can't. That's why we have coaches

Why do you ignore the value of vet experience? It exists and can be a benefit. The wrong vet can be a bad influence. I pay attention to details. Character, culture, intangibles….these things are crucial when building foundations to a new young team. Something you and No Mas discredit.

Right .. take the best players available and move on.   Seems like that was the plan for 2021 with these first 3 picks.    Don’t overthink... save being the smartest guys in the room for day 3.

What's a pass rusher have to do with WR's? If you want vets there I am ok with that. At WR not needed, they are coming out of college NFL ready

Micah Parsons came out NFL ready. Bosa came out NFL ready. Your caught up on Reagor over JJ….but trading with the cow punks and taking Smith over Parsons isn’t looking like the right move either. Parsons is sick. Of coarse we all knew this…..he fell because of red flag character concerns. Maybe longer run Parsons character shows up. But pass rushers, S, WR, Rb….I don’t care….being groomed under a vet is the ideal way to go. Smith is a great exception. The guy is great character and works his tail off on the details. He was a high pick and won the Heisman. So not what I’d expect as the normal path. Still think a vet could aid him and make things easier. Not all just football stuff. Some is the money, fame…..all that comes with the lifestyle…..options everywhere….what choices you going to make?

1. RB shouldn't have been a top priority.  If a day 3 guy is there, we still should take him.   Nothing changed.

2.  Reagor and JJAW... how many times do we need to see it.

3. Is the backup RG ...really the backup RG?  I imagine Dickerson and Driscoll still hold those spots.  But perhaps down the line that guy can move up.

4.  Shame with the TE Jackson.  3rd TE though,  he will still have opportunity in the offseason to grow.

Still haven't beaten a starter on a winning team since.... was it Dak or Jones last year?    Good thing is we locked in on best draft slot out of the playoff teams and Dallas dropped a little.    Funny, you've been seeing me talk about the Eagles BS success.... Dallas beats up the bad teams and then gets the dose of reality come playoffs.. like clockwork for like 25 years.    Fans are talking crap...it's hilarious.

Some year we will beat a legit NFL team and make you proud

What are you saving it for.... $$$ and draft picks are used to fill holes and build the puzzle. The method wasn't important in 2017... why would it matter now. If a 26 year old proven guy is there to be had... it's an option.   Buffalo all of a sudden magically changed... you don't think Diggs was a big factor?   He is a game changer for that offense.

Spend draft pick and hit...you don't need to spend money... spend money and hit, you don't need to spend draft pick... either way it works for me.

I agree here. It’s weird. But it happens.

Yes, all of them…but still here. LOL It’s felt like your theme of thoughts. You never seemed to understand and appreciate what we had for our Super Season. Seems like you make fun of Hurts. Yet you won’t argue that he is top notch in every box there. Yes, you still need talent. But a huge arm and a bad work ethic doesn’t work. I’d say Kelce is our best current example. Did he test off the charts athletically? Is he the biggest? Yet I think the guy should be a Hall of Famer. Much bigger athletic and higher ranked C.

I don't want a player to fail.   Dumbest movie, yet I agree..." if you're not first your last "       failing is failing.  Can't go in with that mentality.   The dude that is 26 that already had success... that dude shouldn't fail. Especially next to Smith.

Shake and Bake. Two times agreeing here. Not basing my plan on failing. Loser mentality. Never getting anywhere like that.

I try this FIRST. I saw noone in the secondary step up tonight to the point they could start,so I would spend the loot on defense

Yes, I was looking forward to seeing all these young DBs we have rostered. But I can condemn them for this outing. Cowboys are a really tough matchup with their receiver corps. Wallace had two moments that were really bad. Confidence really went down on him. But overall it’s just not a fair assessment situation. The communication just wasn’t there. Secondary had to gel and know when to trade things off to the other defender. We had none of that. Our Zone D was a joke. Something in hindsight I should have seen coming. Not that I figured they would be great….guess I was just hoping for a young guy to step up and make a few plays.
