Signed Jamon Brown G off Bears PS seems odd since we just promoted Opeta.... Not sure we need all these OL especially with injuries at other areas

Get us a G with some experience though has 47 career starts and is only 27

More quantity without quality. We can have 150 OG's with 149 being useless. Not saying he can't GROW but these are moves we should have made LONG ago.We need to be PROactive,NOT retoactive and I believe that is our problem

I feel your PAIN  aaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh. #&/)$&Fu€7# $g BS. I hope it doesn't become three or four losses...NO pre-season...the Excuses... didn't seem to impact Mahomes or Lamarr. It is the first game of this season. I am gonna calm down.. Aaarrggghhh.

It’s hard to say do we just go out and sign a guy just because??? Do we not give the guys we have been grooming for couple years now a chance??? If we don’t have the faith to give them a chance to play why are they still on the roster???

Until a week ago JP was our RG honestly think we wanted him to stay there but couldn’t find a suitable LT. don’t think Glenn impressed and well we seen the other T options.

I still don't understand why Pryor and Mailata didn't start when Mailata took over he had 1 pressure the rest of the game no sacks and was effective when they tried to run the ball. The problem is with Peedy, M M. On this staff, he was still putting 5 receivers on the field while Wentz got punished. After Wentz third hard sack he looked surprised and dazed had that " deer in the headlights look". No one has answered why our 2nd rd picks didn't even Dress for the game. When the noise came about drafting Hurts, Peedy said he would be designing set plays to get him on the field. Guess just another useless pick sitting on the bench?

I mean we can’t be mad when we don’t give young guys a chance to play them mad when we give them a chance and struggle.

It happens it sucks but we can’t have things both ways. We gave youth a chance to show something they didn’t work out to well we went out signed a security blanket getting a G with decent amount of experience under his belt(and at this stage that tough to find)

I mean will say I was bit shocked Hurts didn’t dress way with Sanders hurt thought likely could have done some creative things with him to aid the ground game. But at the same time he is a QB teams start 1 QB Hurts was always destined to ride the bench a lot this year likely next year etc.

Why so many of us were outraged when the pick happened it could have went to another position OL possibly(looking now in hindsight)

How many OL were those guys missing?   They had running games that the coached actually called.... not a bad group of WRs either... and not losing anything at TE compared to our guys. All relative.

But I ask.... what is the difference and what has been since 2017?    Did the QB just forget how to play?   Or did our skill positions take a huge drop along with not mixing in run plays?   Could be all 3, but for sure the 2nd and 3rd thing.   Brees, Rodgers, Wilson.... all only won 1 SB, been in the league longer than Wentz by a lot... did they lose anything, or did the talent around them go down?

Very telling that Pryor and Mailata ... year 3 guys ... didn't get the start??????   a lot of time on the system under the OL guru????   3 years taking up a roster spot.

I mean I do feel like this is an issue. I mean I get wanting to develop guys and it takes time sometimes but how long are we going to waste on them especially if we dont trust them to play.... I don’t know feel like if they already got beat out by younger guys you trust more those roster spots could be better used

I’m really quite bugged by us carrying 10 OL why???? We only bring 8 on game day why do we need the other 2???? Especially when we can call guys up from PS.

We have 4 CBs(in a pinch I get it we can move Mills down) but then we weak at S have to go with Epps Wallace maybe????

DE- as of this moment we have 3 healthy DEs one of which never played in an NFL game.

I'm just looking at offense.... besides the OL health .... the RBs ... Smith, Alshon and a good version of Agholor ... a lot of stuff missing.   Players matter, especially for a QB.  Brady went from game manager to MVP candidate once he got Moss / Welker ... then Gronk/ Edlemen types.     Wilson did great without much help... not the same as when he has players... similar to all these other vet QBs.    The idea is just to get one of the guys who is good enough to win when the surrounding cast is good.  But you need that cast too.   New England the exception to me ... the system they play on offense was always to do just enough to win, they weren't passing up 17-0 if the other offense looked awful.   Make the game easy until the other team forces you to do more.

I don't mind keeping 10 olinemen if you think those 10 can play or have some upside. But if you aren't going to play Pryor, and you are adding guys who are likely now ahead of him on the depth chart, why keep Pryor?

I have no idea what they are going to do on the defensive line. Even if Hargrave and Barnett play this week, how much can they contribute in their first week back? We saw that Avery can't play on run downs. I doubt Toohill would be any better. So are we going to go into the game with four DEs active again? We can't call up McGill again, so I have no idea what they are planning at DT.

It's just really confusing.

Never been a fan of 10 OL think the spaces could be better used elsewhere to aid the time... Even more against 10 OL now with the new PS rules

We have 3 DTs still we can make due with a 3 man rotation at DT and if Hargrove can play even limited aids there...

DE to me again is the main concern biggest thing will be Graham will he clear concussion protocol??? If Barnett can play even as a the 3rd DE spell Sweat/Graham is massive.

As for the 4th DE whether it’s Avery as pass rusher or Toohill would be fine.

Best guess is Ostman has a strong chance to gt called up though can’t say I’d be overly thrilled with the trio of Avery/Toohill/Ostman. Only DE I’d trust is Sweat

This goes for more then just Pryor in my eyes even to Mailata I’m not saying whether he is good or bad but fact remains we preferred a rookie over him that is major concern to me.

If for whatever reasons the staff doesn’t have faith in guys like Pryor and Mailata to play now over rookies guys who never played a snap before why keep them around.

DJax still fast but he looked OLD and ineffective to be fair it has been a year since he has had any football, need to get the young speed guys on the field so they can be better come playoff time. JP did not bring the level of Physicality and nastiness I am used to seeing on that left side... JP seemed a step slower than those kids on Washingtons DL. Perhaps I am being to critical... not giving enough consideration to the disharmony on the right side of the line. It's on Stout and Peedy putting two players playing their first NFL game next to each other.

THIS IS THE FIRST game of the season... I'm being an a$$. Brought in soooo much Coaching talent... I hoped for a better debut from the NAMES we hired Marty Morningweg is still considered an Offensive GURU so much talent in our Coaching ranks and we played like that. Guess Covid is to blame. Nuff Said.

I have to admit the offense was pretty offensive.

Only in the 2nd half though so we didn’t adjust well... The O even with some hiccups from the OL(which was expected) in the first half looked explosive

It was like we played well, then we made ONE mistake and the whole team started to panic, which led to more bonehead plays. We needed to suck up our mistake and carry on.Instead we hit the panic button and it cost us that game. One mistake led to a landslide of errors. That is not professional

OK... so here is what I'm saying when I said that DE was a concern for me ... long term/ big picture.     We see now how its like without Curry and Graham on paper .. .Barnett needs to step up to be really good, not just average or slightly above.  He is the key in this group because look at the other guys .... this is where we can take a huge step back overall.   Of course we see how its like without Brooks and Lane too ... just that I assume both keep playing for a few more years, longer/ more effective than Curry/Graham.  But you see why Dillard needs to be a hit now... Peters basically played like a backup level Sunday.

These injuries to the older players are a fast forward to 2022 if not even next year.    It scares me that we waste Wentz' prime years with a poor roster.  Also why it solidifies any decision to let Foles go over Wentz.  At least if you take a step back for 2 years to rebuild it, or to put it better... " find the right new guys "  Wentz will still be 30 ... compared to Foles at 34.

It's also why I say you need to hit on the draft picks regardless of the cap situation for just your specific team.  The quality of free agents on the market are not going to be there any more due to the cap for the entire league going up.  Always need to hit on draft picks to establish your core.  As we see now... we will need multiple linemen on both sides of the ball soon, while our WR weapons need to either develop or we need to find additional ones.   The long term view here isn't looking good at all IMO due to the unknowns.   WE will need multiple young players to step up soon ... more so than just to show they can be adequate backups.
