Don’t think we have any issues taking a CB or S.

The Eagles have never taken a S in round 1 of the draft...  I'm pretty sure that is accurate.    Ben Smith was a CB/ S...ended up playing CB for us... but I believe it's the whole history of the franchise, never taking S in round 1.

Ouch

It's been 42 games since the Eagles have beaten a winning team that has played their starting QB.    They have had 17 opportunities to do so.... including 7 this year.

A first step for me, is winning one game in this scenario.

But again how often are S rated that highly guess could have said Earl Thomas instead of Graham. But for the most part S don’t tend to go that high and the ones that do tend to be top 10 type guys.

Idk... my guess a few times since 1933 there may have been a S that was probably the right selection.    I know for you, things are no big deal.  For me, I just like to keep an open mind.  Love Graham, Earl Thomas should have been the pick.  Was obvious or what, the first 7 or 8 years.    I don't mind the Graham pick at all... not even really the point of Graham or Thomas now... but at the time, it absolutely was a position thing as to why Graham was selected over Thomas.

That mindset (regardless of if the picks turn out to be the correct one or not) is what I would like to see ended.

Because this is my thought.   Parsons was not an option at all for us.  Trade back, take WR, CB, QB or Linemen...IMO are the only thing Eagles do.  It's been the trend for 3 decades with this owner.      That has to stop.  Can't just disqualify a player because of his position.   It's as silly as GB doing it due to not playing in the bowl game.

Again Joe how many S really go round 1 is it possible a S maybe should have been the pick possibly could say Dawkins should have been a first round 1 but we got him in the 2nd why????

Like I said I don’t think the Eagles have an issue using a high pick on a S if they think the player is worth it.

BG...been saying it for years... I think the position automatically disqualifies the player from being an option round 1.   It's not a few years now..  we are talking decades.    It's the same thing with GB not considering a guy who chose not to play in a bowl game.

S, LB, TE, RB, they don't take these guys in round 1.   Until they take one, it's absolutely a possibility that by their way of thinking, that it's not coincidence.

We have an unprecedented shot at getting 5 picks right. If we find all 5 that fit, this will go a long way to the rebuild, then again it's Howie('nuff said lmao)

Eagles and Indy did their jobs with our picks

Miami trying to screw it up

Right now i think i'd rather play the Bucs next week

So will the Chargers and Raiders tie tonight so they both make the playoffs?

Close to a playoff game. Carson stinks it up. Took an 11-5 team and made them 9-7. Hurts took a 4 win team and made them 9-7(with us tanking week 18).

The best part of that OT game... if it ended in a tie,  neither team would have gotten in.   That's the way to have an OT game, where neither team can tie.

Sure it is..  disqualify anyone for skipping a bowl game or due to their position limits yourself.  Parsons and Chase didn't play last year,  imagine passing up either for that reason?

Picks 15, 16 and 19.   Pretty good.   Gives opportunity to draft 3 quality players, trade one for a quality vet, trade down and get another future 1st... any combo of the 3.   It's ironic, we could easily be the worst of the 3 teams yet due to schedule/ injuries have the worst position each round.   Will be fun offseason,  just don't over invest in QB.   The factory is on strike!
