I am happy we made the Play-offs. It gives all a chance to see how Hurts performs under pressure. A good thing for sure.

Only thing I took from Saturday's game is the Eagles need to give the O-Line coach a huge raise. That unit of 2nd and 3rd stringers moved the ball well against a 1st string Dallas unit.

Yes they were less 2 players, but that was still very impressive. I had to laugh how the Commentators were glorifying Dak's performance against a depleted defense. We had a CB playing LB! Another thing it shows is how badly depleted our defense is. We need to draft defense with our first 3 picks now. That was obvious after Saturday...

Feeling here is we are one and done. I do want to see us keep it close. To do so we need to move the ball on the ground, which we should be able to do. TB has not been that great on the defensive side of the ball this season.

Carson Wentz played terrible on Sunday. I never would thought I would say Howie did a good job on that trade, but it appears he did well to free up all that cap space and grab a #1 pick for him now that we saw how Wentz performed.....

Wentz got us a #1 pick.

Now it's up to Howie to make it pay off.

Looking at Howie track record with later round 1  picks it doesn’t look good

Sooooo can we talk about how bad Derek Barnett has been this year for us this man started what 15-16 games for us this year and had two sacks.

To that into perspective Milton Williams our 3rd round rookie DT had 2 sacks this season and probably half of not less the snaps of Barnett

I expect the Eagles to be one and done but i think playing the Bucs gives us the best chance to steal a win.

We have to come out the gate strong can’t have a slow start that has plagued us for weeks now.

Bucs even hampered will capitalize on our slow start and it’s tough to be a running team when your in the hole.

So we just gotta keep pace with the Bucs in the first half then hopefully by the 2nd half our ground game has worn them out to start picking up.

Yeah I mean that's certainly one way. I think you've got to trust the other guys in the secondary one v one. Slay on Evans, double bracket Gronk and trust Maddox and Nelson in their positions. It is going to be hard going.

Wow Miami fired Flores bit shocked

We need to blitz and stunt more on defense. I have seen little of either. I know TB pretty well. They can be beaten by us, we just have to hit them where I said. Pass rush pressure is a MUST. I suspect Slay would be on Evans??? Perriman made some clutch plays and they can hit us with 3 TE sets also. IDK if any of their RB's will be back next week. We need(once again),long slow deliberate(dink and dunk if you will)drives that pound their D line. You aren't going to "confuse" Brady with any D looks, so they must be executed. Hurts is going to be forced into multiple reads(which he still needs to do) as they will hit us with all kinds of defensive looks. They are also susceptible to running QB's especially if you go right, then cut back to the left. After seeing our right side O line block well out, this is entirely possible to do

Still need a top WR opposite Smith. Would not be surprised to see us trade down our second pick for extra picks and take a WR with the first or second one. Need a round 1 WR in my estimation. Can still trade that pick down for a later 1 where there we should be right in the thick of where the S's go. The way Howie works,we could end up with 22 picks LOL .

Some of his early picks were not good either.(MS2, Barnett, Reagor)

I think we're resigned to the fact that Howie will ignore the D in the top rounds.

With few exceptions defense just isn't the shiny object  that Howie seems to love.

I remind you they also have Brate and OJ Howard. They would make this adjustment rather fast

Well we need to get more D line pressure, and he is fine with D linemen so DE and DT could be easy choices for him even though there will be top notch CB's sitting there. DE DT and WR is a real possibility, but once again we'd miss out on that much needed secondary/LB talent

Reagor and Ms2 would be the later round 1 guys which is what my post said

IDK how Lurie can sit there and watch the game reruns and not see how blatantly undermanned/overmatched we are in the secondary and say 'Howie,we need those guys". This team is just a toy for Lurie to play with

yes I know, but those were the first picks we had in that round,so a BAD pick is a BAD pick no matter where it is

I don't trust them, not because they don'y try, they are just over matched talent wise because Howie refuses to get the needed talent in here. He got Slay and expected him to patch the Titanic

No disputing a bad pick is a bad pick. But looking at Howie picking on the top 16 vs picking in the back 16 we see way more success in the top 16.

Basically what I’m saying is don’t have a ton of faith with Howie making the picks with where we sit in the draft

Because those top 15 require no brain. Pretty much anyone can pick a top 10 player and be fairly certain they are a good pick. He actually does do pretty well with later round picks like 3,4, but I believe he overthinks the later round 1 guys and really needs to get away from the "I don't draft CB's or LB's" It should be very noticeable now even to Lurie

I'm with ya on the kid from Cincy

Still not disputing any of this just stating the fact that we have been terrible drafting in the later half of the first round

Really want that guy. Opposite Slay you have an immediate shut down pair at CB. Gardner has never been scored on in college(not just this year ALL years) and this is VS the best teams in college

And I am agreeing so?

If we did a trade back, we could hit all 5 positions of need  in the first 2 rounds. CB/WR/DE/LB/S and still pick up say a DT in round 3. I was surprised at how good the BU O line played. Maybe we add a promising kid in 4. IDK we are at the mercy of Howie
