Well, I don't think anyone struggles against the Jets or Carolina.

Except for maybe Arizona... who I can't see why anyone wouldn't think wouldn't be an easier opponent?

Torn ACL

Joe, I never drink that crap. I don't see any team as a good match up for us. I just don't think their D will be any worse of a problem then the others. You do. OK I accept that.

As for the offenses, When Brady has his weapons, he is a huge problem. He is anyway at the age of? But no Godwin. No Brown. Evans is hurt, Grayson is now probably out. Fournette is out and they already lost Benard. Jones was out last week and may not be able to play Sunday, so who is their RB? Just saying that they are hurting the worse they have all year on Offense. They have Evans and Gronk. That is it. two players we have to double up on.

    Anyway, We will see.

I thought Fournette was supposed to return for the playoffs?   Plus didn't they sign Bell too?     From my understanding they are supposed to get some defensive players back too?

I remind you they also have Brate and OJ Howard. They would make this adjustment rather fast

Well gotta pick your poisons. Gronk would be number one on my list to try and negate. I don’t think we handle TEs well anyway. So this is clearly a problem.

We got into the play-offs because our opponents did not have a QB

Isn't that an offensive weapon?

Stine.... I would absolutely think DL is one of the picks.  I thought that's what they were going to do last year.    And that's one of the picks, not necessarily the first one.   The other 2, anyone's guess.  I would wager we don't make 3 picks in round 1 this year.

Well we did steal Milton in the third. He can go DT or DE. Has also enabled us to use Cox at DE. I’ve always been a fan of the idea. Really makes us big and physical coming at any offense. Several thoughts going here. Depending on Gannon’s preferences. Not sure if you r considered the idea of switching yo a more 3-4 look. Go Hargave- Cox- Milton. Then you invest in LBs. It’s not just about the three guys we have. More about what guys we are looking at going forward. Thomas is a draft prospect with versatility and flexibility. That’s why I’m considering him. 3-4 …4-3 DT or DE

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023   FWIW this is my argument for drafting a WR this next draft. Of course this is a long way off,but the indications are that there are few WR's that would be worth a round 1 selection. So, assume we do the same or better next year and assuming pick 15 or worse, there is no reason in the '23 draft to select a WR basically because we won't be in the position to take one anyhow if we only have 1 pick. Now of course you can solve the issue in FA, but now that we have broken free from that I really don't want to go back into the FA bargain basement hunting biz. IDK that Reagor can improve much now,we could be seeing the best he has. He is a slow learner and inefficient route runner(not to mention the drops even). So this indicates to me if you are planning ahead to go ahead and get that last WR we need while we have 3 round 1 picks There should be some nice D players around 15 in the '23 draft should we still need another piece, but for me I take my last drafted WR this time around. If you want to keep Reagor as a rotational piece that's fine or trade him is fine by me. Although I am not thrilled with Jjaw, unless we can replace him with a better option he will probably stay for now. I would not wait past round 2 for another WR,but sine we have 3 picks,I feel this is the time to get one with scant options at WR in '23. I suppose I never explained my position before, but now I have. Rest of the picks can be spent on defense, maybe a late O lineman, but with all these picks we should be able to fill holes on D and still fill a need at WR. I'm sure some will disagree, but I have backed up my position and a last drafted WR would be logical since there are none next year that we would be in position to get and I would rather save that '23 pick for an "oops" moment where we either drafted wrong(it's Howie you know?? LOL) or need another piece on defense

PS- looking at '23 there are a choice of QB options if we decide to make a move. I personally like Young

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/nfl-defense-sacks-2021  This is disturbing. 31/32 if you click on sacks

This is partly due to the style of defense Gannon has been playing. He’s big on not giving up huge plays. Keeps everything in front of him. It was extremely soft to start the season. Still needs tightening up. But if the coverage is off QBs thrive on dinking and dunking on us. Kills the pass rusher being able to finish. We have gotten pressure. Hurries are very important part of the game also.

Like this outside the box thinking!

Huntley is called up. He’s our best return option. He brought some juice. He’s always shown glimpses. But it brings up the question of how many RB can we afford to be active on Gameday? Also worries me that Sanders might not be ready. In my mind we need Sanders to compete.

Top WR Williams grabbing his knee for Bama.

Reuben Frank had an article...  basically said there is no reason that now isn't the time to stop using  JJAW and Reagor... mentioned using Scott and Gainwell instead.  Maybe we see more 2 RBs?

Your idea on WRs is valid.

JJAW on IR

Along with Tyree Jackson and Toth. And that folks….is why any time you don’t have to play your crucial guys….you don’t risk them.

I’ve been thinking that the Reagor end arounds haven’t been working. I’m thinking Siri realizes this. But keeps throwing it out once a week….wait for it…..because we have another play or two designed in we’ve been holding back. Making sure opposing team’s are seeing the tape. Then bam….we fake the end around to Reagor. Maybe I’m giving Siri too much credit here.

Bryce Young ran into that bad sack. He just needed to slide in the pocket a tiny bit.

Could we really have five RB active?

I'm pretty surprised at the lack of offense in the bama game

Thanks.Just logical conjecture my friend. We know it's all fluid and we have Howie making decisions, so sometimes logic is out the window. I was planning for 2 years out ,because once we become truly competitive, I would like to maintain that by making the proper choices now

Well I find it fairly alarming regardless of the style considering the teams we faced that we couldn't get to the QB alot. It's only going to get tougher now and in the future unless we draw another cake walk schedule. Idk that we are especially impactful with hurries either. No QB's are intimidated by hurries. I want that "Sack attack" intimidation defense back

Those guys are crucial? They were over matched BU's not the front line. Like me vs Ali lol (I would probably get hurt in that one?) So now when a front line goes out we have no BU because we got them hurt. Pick your poison

If it doesn't work keep doing it. We are great at it 🤣. I think it would be extremely hilarious to pull the Philly Special again vs Brady. That would get in his head and remind him of the strip sack 🤣. We can win with psychology
