Trying to go with Wilson at LB was a huge mistake. But Taylor was injured most of the season so Lb options were limited.

This is true but we also haven’t played a good team since the Chargers. Which we lost on a FG. We like to credit the overhaul of the O in the 2nd half yet we don’t want to credit the D growth because the offenses were bad???

Doesn’t seem like hardly anybody here wants to credit anybody. A new team takes time to get things together. The schedule had our toughest matchups up front. 

Basically downing our team because we didn’t have things together by week six matchup against the defending SB champs. Now we get a rematch. See how we can do. They are the defending SB champs….so if we pull this off I’d say we could beat anybody.

Think this team needs to be held into perspective I realize we played bad teams and we need a true test. But I can also see the team has grown from the start at the same time.

I believe that’s a fair way to look at the situation. Is this defense ready for Brady? Can you ever really be? The Bucs are heavily penalized. One thing I noticed is they love to pass interfere. They mugged us back in week six. Almost like they figured the refs won’t throw flags every down on them.

Let’s pump the brakes this is hardly the same defending SB champs they are injured all over the place

I mean they have what 3 CBs on the injury report that are questionable, Fournette isn’t he still on IR will he even play???? David is questionable. Don’t have Godwin and AB quit on them.

It would still be a good sign if we can hang or beat them but they are a far cry from say a healthy Packers team or even healthy LA team

This isn’t nearly as bad as it seems. We have had 4/5 starters the same now since when mid season.

Replacing one guy is far easy then a shuffling OL each week we can do things to help protect Opeta. 

Brady had less weapons in SB parades before. Gronk, Howard, Brate and Evans is still pretty loaded if you ask me.

Oh I don’t doubt Brady and Co. are still dangerous but they still are not the same defending champs.

Yeah, the last part just doesn’t seem very fair. Getting Antonio Brown, Gronk and Fournette really turned the tables for them.
  Their weakness has been corners. So going from a weak corner to backups isn’t that much of a slide.

Week 12 but again doesn’t change that 4/5 of the guys have been starting together since around mid-season

Mailata/Dickerson/Kelce/Lane the changing at RG is far easier then the OL shuffling weekly at 3-4 spots

Mailers earned the LT starting job this season. I believe Dickerson earned the LG spot next to him. Really hoping we can ride that left side combo for a long time. Is this Kelce last game? Lane’s head wasn’t in the game early this year. He wasn’t terrible but not up to his standards. Really came back after leavingstrong. Had a really excellent second half of the season.

I’m not so sure the drop off would be that large from Nelson to McPhearson.
