And we knew this would be the case. We knew if we started slow we'd be in a hole that we couldn't get out. And low and behold the team starts slow and we got in a hole that we couldn't get out of.

We should have taken the ball instead of defer

With how dreadful we played don’t think this was making a difference

Agreed, we did not adjust quickly enough to what TB was trying to do. What we should have done was pass the ball downfield, especially on 1st down. We should have Smith as a #1 read on most designed plays. Getting 2 targets is stupid coaching IMO.

Well he will likely be given another year he definitely needs to make massive strides as a passer in the offseason

As i said yesterday i'd rather give Hurts 1 more year then have Howie package our 3 1st rnd picks to move up

Yeah. It worked out well for Pittsburgh

It obvious for us to take the ball. The whole goal was to stay in the game. The closer we keep things the more pressure would be on them. Brady always starts great also.

To me it feels like all a question of whether GB can beat Brady at Lambeau. That’s the NFC picture.

Did anyone believe we were SB contenders? TB are the defending champs. They look ready to go again. Not our neighborhood.

Yeah I know the analytics suggest you defer but yeah I didn't love that. I mean look the offense struggled all day so I'm sure they'd have come out flat but I just knew the defense was going to give up a TD.

They really got us on two early run blitzes pretty perfectly. That third and two they ate up that option call. It was to a level that I wonder if we have a ‘tell.’  Seemed like they had some kind of read on things. I didn’t like the option call but it was better than the third and twelve screen pass to Sanders call.

My $.02

TB's game plan was simple. Make Hurts throw the ball to beat us. All they did was put 8 in the box and play 1 on  1 press against the WR's. Why in the world Smith had only 2 targets in the first half is a problem. Stupid penalties. Kelce was called twice that killed drives. Barnett get nabbed for a Roughing the passer. Yes, it probably should not have been called. But the HC should know that official called the 2nd most Roughing penalties in the league. Also, Brady is the QB and gets all of those calls. Plu Barnett has a Rep. Someone has to tell him to be careful!!!

Last Reagor has to go. Muffed punt was a turning point. Brady was having a bad 1st half until that point. We now know that Hurts is most likely not the answer. His decision making was poor. There were times all he had to do was sit in the pocket and give the WR's time to get open. Watkins was wide open for a score and he did not see it. He underthrew that TD because his feet were not planted and he ran to his left instead of just waiting a second longer. His passes had no ZIP.

Enough said. This is how I feel regardless of what others say....  On to the draft...

Well, I know you will argue with me,  this is why I wanted a WR in round 1 because Reagor should be on the jantiorial staff. Hurts is a ,BU,he was drafted as a BU,why should we expect anything more? I'm sure he will "grow" a bit but I see his ceiling approaching rapidly

That doesn't put you down 21 at the half 🤣 maybe it was to give Hurts,Smith a little time to flush those butterflies out?

It's not obvious when you have rookies in their first "real pressure" game and whats the difference? You need to score on your first possession either way(and we did not,nor any other possessions in THIRTY MINUTES)

At least we got out of the Wentz situation. Got out of DJax, Alshon and Malik situations also. All bad moves. Huge chunks of money going towards those guys still.  Just brutal. Have a cleaner slate going forward.

Noone figure we would even make the playoffs, but due to Titanic sized luck we slopped on in

Sometimes if the opponent scores first, it lights the offensive fire, gets your guys to say "ok lets match that" I don't think TB needed any fires lit and we had a wet match for 30 minutes. When they finally changed to my game plan,we had a solid drive, but too late by then

So why be shocked the SB champs whooped us? Should have been totally expected.

At least they kept it close for awhile

It all sets a tone. They put pressure on our offense coming out down seven in their home. If we come out first on offense….we set the tone.

It was,I just didn't like the embarrassing way we played(or didn't) You can't let your star WR go 30 minutes without a target.Thiat is plainly STUPID

So what's the "tone" if you don't score? Kinda defeat? yeah I would think so. Home fans are LOUD and the young guys were already nervous,so why add that pressure? let them get acclimated to the position they have been put in. I would have done the same in this situation

That was the plan, although they went about it badly

Two big factors: GB has a much better Coach and the Best QB in the league right now. Brady is the best ever, but he is not as good today. Cannot compare them to the Eagles. Like comparing Reagor to Devante Adams....

Well, here is something to ponder. How well has HR done drafting a WR outside the top 15? I much better trust him drafting D-Line or any Defensive position over a WR....

Not going to help if the play called does not have Smith as a first read.... 2 targets?

Exactly. We aren’t SB contenders. TB and GB are that in the NFC. So like I said: it feels like the whole NFC picture has been can GB get over the hump to the SB over Brady.
