Looks like the IOL Lindstrom from BC is a day three guy. He could be perfect for us. If Kelce plays one more season. Let him learn from him and develop one year would be ideal. Be our starter in two years at C.

I remember him listed in the last draft, but I guess he decided to stay in school

tp://cfbhtstats.com/2021/player/559/1105203/receiving/gamelog.html   Nice stats here, and he missed a game.

So I’m liking Faalele in two and Lindstrom in four.

Sam Howell has got to be the guy we dig really hard into. Seems like he is the likely target based on draft positioning. I think Pickett and Corral have been out of reach. Willis and Strong are in the mix. Howell is the guy to take the chance on, I think, of any available.

Mock Draft Database has him at 20.

I don’t know. Can’t get into the idea of Howell being worth it.

Bailey Zappe is the QB that intrigues me in this draft.

Zappe finished the season with a completion percentage of 69.2%, 5,967 passing yards, 62 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

I can’t back this statement. Strong is clearly deserving of the third QB spot….if he passes medicals.

Rams Dr already checked him out.

PFF has Strong as Day Two. Most analysts believe this year isn’t a year for a QB to go off the board first.

Would help towards a QB trade next year only. We have a young teaming building together here. They aren’t geling together as future picks. We need bodies on the practice fields pushing each other. That’s where I feel this team is at. We need to grow a young core of the team for the future here.

So if you trade down from 19 to say 37, ( after making 2 picks)   you pick up a first rounder in 2023...  how does that only help towards a QB trade next year?   You have the pick, you can use it for anything.   The idea is that a 2023 1st round pick is a long term piece.    I think that's a great trade. Do it every year and you turn that Miami trade into D Smith and an unlimited amount of 2nd round picks!

If we wait on CB I like Derrion Kendrick in round 2

He is thinking if we end next year similarly that we would need that extra 1 to move up for the QB we wanted. I think you would have to do that if you wanted Bryce Young

Yeah he interests me. Thinking he’s probably a fairly high second rounder.

You can make good and picks everywhere. To act like a top ten pick is guaranteed to be All Pro is laughable.

7 rounds of the draft, 7 times we pick 19th instead of top 10.   That's 7 picks that we might miss our targets.

This team is going to stay limited as long as Hurts can’t pass it’s really that simple. The Bucs game just highlighted what I’ve been saying for weeks

Gannon got another HC interview request from the Texans

What 99% of the fanbase has been saying

Look if we traded to 37….that would be to a bad team. The fifth worst team.  So you are talking high….to very high 2023 first rounder. That sounds pretty good.

The Bucs game showed how we need more of everything.

100%  and it showed the main reason we made the playoffs was extreme level of bad luck our opponents had with injuries this year.

Because you don’t think we could beat the Giants, Washington, Jets,Broncos, Falcons Lions and Saints without injuries?

Those teams are just so dominant over us.

I feel like blame to place everywhere. Team came out real flat. Only player that actually stepped up was….Kerrigan. I mean really? Kerrigan

Kerrigan... perfect example of how the opponent matters.  He was going against injured players who couldn't move.   Surprise he made some plays.

The team wasn't flat, they were outmatched.  When you play 2 months in a row vs really pathetic competition, it's hard to flip  switch and all of a sudden elevate your game vs a legit team.

And that QB should help longer than just 2023.   It's a steal of a trade if we could pull that off IMO

Absolutely.  Great trade.

We absolutely don't win all those games. I would say it took a blocked punt to beat a Carolina team that had CMC get injured the week before.   ATL and Denver were perfect timing.  Washington no starting QB, their good TE and Chase Young.   Saints absolutely caught them at their worst.  Giants beat us with their starting QB.

I think it's arrogant and stupid to think we win all 9 games in the scenario of just average health and different timing from our opponents.

I'll add.. we got absolutely lucky to match-up with the only AFC east team that had a losing record.   If thr matchup was any other team... or if the rule was you play the division from last year... we don't beat any AFC North team.

If one can't see we weren't a good team, then I think they are blind.

They don't have to be dominant... only need to beat us by a point.  Which is pretty easy to see happening a few times without the luck.

I think we finished right about where we were and are. Seventh best team in the NFC. We were better than the Falcons. Better than Panthers and Saints. Better than the Broncos. Second best in the NFC East.
