Wilson isn’t considering coming here. So next idea. Howell. I tried and wanted to like him. He’s kind of a poor man’s Mayfield. Hurts backup might be his ceiling. He doesn’t have any special arm talent. Probably equal to Hurts. We sinking fast if we use a first on Hurts backup. Not really helping.

Watson is basically our only option. But is he even an option? Real bad PR to say the least.

Minshew has been a respected leader at every stop in college, with the Jags and would be here…. just because Minshew is over the top and emotes doesn’t make him a bad leader.

Players gravitate toward Minshew because of the way he is and the way he plays. Very similar to how you love to talk about Hurts… Only difference really is Minshew is vastly superior passer 

Watson is going to cost what? He has a huge salary. Plus….at least three first round picks.

Minshew is arguably superior at reading defenses. Coaches don’t want to run with him. He’s the ‘break the glass’ option. Not  the kind of leader your looking for. At another position his stuff wouldn’t be so bad. Not rolling with that as a plan for QB1 though.

Teams that were desperate midseason called yes. Break for emergency QB is exactly what Shew is. He’s not your actual plan.

Wilson might have other interest outside of football but while he is playing football the top thing will always be winning a championship…. He isn’t going to NY they aren’t competing either team. Miami maybe if they got the right coach, New Orleans possibly

Jax did everything they could to go in a different direction. Fans had them held hostage a bit over him was all. Anybody could have traded for him any time. We got him for peanuts.
