You guys need to stop worrying about Hurts and Minshew. It is obvious that neither is in the long range plans for the Eagles, so move on. Bigger question is what they plan on doing with the position? Do they go with either next season or do they bring in someone to compete? Via How? FA, Trade or Draft? Those are the issues we need to discuss. It is obvious how you both feel. May as well take it further privately....

That’s really kind of the whole discussion. I don’t see a better option than rolling with Hurts hoping he improves.

No FA worth it, we can draft or trade for a guy we all know the vets that might be available… But most likely outcome will be open competition between Hurts/Minshew.

ARod and Wilson aren’t coming here. Not sure ATL would move on from Matty Ice before he retires. He’s a Falcon Ring of Honor guy(whatever they call their HOF). No owner can put Watson on the field as their franchise guy right now. Lions would trade Goff. He’s middle of the pack starter. Goff is probably the best ,I know of, available option.

Move on to what? We're in limbo for awhile now. Gotta tlak about something(for many months)

For the short term Minshew to me so the best possible option. Long term we have to draft a guy or trade for someone

Talk Andrew Luck out of retirement.

I want to see him more anticipate his throws. Get some of these patterns nailed down with the timing. I feel this is a teachable area. Throw right at the break to meet him where he’ll be.

year 2- no progress. Year 3,don't see that changing

He’s 23. Washed up

You cannot improve arm strength! Neither Shew or Hurts has it, so we need to find an option that does. Not hard to figure that out. Now, whether or not it is done before the 2022 season is another issue.......

Did you turn off the game at halftime?  How many points did we score in the 3rd Q?

LMAO game was in hand Im sure they were coasting trying to save the players. Not real tough to understand

IDK I saw little change from the 2020 Hurts except we got him better weapons

Think we could still get him better weapons.

Appears so

Sure we need to get better weapons, then we need a passing QB to throw to them

Russ actually makes perfect sense to come here. A howie no doubt wants him easy sell to Lurie. Russ would likely have no problems with Philly I get an OL that can actually protect me have good Ground game these have both been lacking in Seattle recently… Definitely not the worst weapons in the league to throw to he has some weapons.

Russ wants to win definitely can do that here and really not many other options again maybe Miami,NO, Denver could be competing

Age has what to do with anything?

I saw growth from Hurts last year coming into this year. Saw growth through this season. Team came out playing like garbage in Tampa….including Hurts. I find it easy to assume he’ll improve more as a passer this offseason.

Miami has been interested in Watson, that would free up Tua but I'm really not sold on him either

Not growth,we changed the scheme from RPO college to pro

He’s at a draft-able age. Hurts could be coming out in the 2022 draft like Pickett.

Still have Lance hanging out in SF

Sixth round pick. We actually paid for Shew. Rest of the league didn’t value him even that high evidently. That’s fact. That’s his worth league wide just this past season.

And you waited that long to bring this up.    You had 2 valid points against Minshew....  1.  His size and arm.   2. Why was he only valued at a 6th this past summer?

Instead you venture into Ham world and make up crap about leadership etc..  when clearly, the best attribute Minshew has is that his teammates like and respect him.    The obvious reason he isn't starting now in the league are physical limitations.    It's the same reason why Hurts is not going to last.   Tangibles before intangibles.

Pickett is much better

Yet the first series we ran option on third down. Bucs ate it up. I’m sure you believe that’s on Hurts.

He needs massive growth as a passer dude was dreadful

Why it never worked to start with. When something fails KEEP DOING IT. Hurts couldn't get us in FG range for 30 minutes-SOLID leader!!!
