How many teams are envious of our WR room? Even our RB room?

How many times were guys open and the QB couldn't make the throw?   On those plays...as it was our old QB'S fault...it was also Hurts fault.

Nobody is saying everything was Hurts fault.   But he has his good share of the blame.   He will be a success if he is in the league after his first contract runs out.  He is not a good passer intermediate or long range, or on plays where his feet are not set.   In today's NFL, QBs need to make enough of those throws to beat good opponents.

Hurts will look better with a top notch WR room. Less of Hurts the playmaker. Let him distribute to the playmakers. Seems fair to me.

Lamar,  Murray,  Tua and Hurts.    To me that style won't win.    Murray seems to want to evolve into a passer.  Baltimore would have enough to win a playoff game with their defense.   Big picture, I don't think you can win like that.   I'm ok with another team being the pioneer with this.    Good luck.  I'm the athletes are too good for the running QB to work in a " lose and go home" scenario vs a quality opponent.

If we need one more year here to get it through everyone's head, then fine.

I’m all ears on us acquiring an elite QB. All I’ve heard so far is we could give up a ton of picks for the right to pay a guy….that doesn’t want to come here I’ll add. Only actual trade I feel we could definitely make is for Goff. I’ll stick with Hurts.

Don’t think Tua fits the Tua doesn’t even run had what some 100 yards this year.

I see Lamar,Murray and Allen absolutely working.

Right...he will look better than he did before.  Seems fair to me to put him in a better position to succeed.  So if he doesn't... then people need to wake up.

I see Josh Allen working haven’t see much from AZ or Balt. Unless our goal is to just make the playoffs

I just hear a bunch of crying! Woooo is me we don’t have Mahomes. We don’t. That’s fact. I’m just dealing with that. I believe you can win without paying fourty mil to a QB. Should be able to build up a good team though without paying that.

I'm personally not even listening until next year about a QB.

Sure it’s called either have historically great defense or having good QB play…. So unless we are going to put together a historical defense in an era that favors offense more then ever we need a QB

Allen for sure.  He is pass first with legit NFL arm.

Baltimore and Tenn been battling in the playoffs. Baltimore got sacked by injuries. Or does that only count for our opponents?

But I am 100% behind building the team hence me wanting to trade Hurts now at peak value he isn’t the long term answer get picks or pieces that help. Minshew gives equal or better QB play

Why you so obsessed with $$$.  Which teams do you think win this year?   The guys with the top QBs who make $$.   I don't get it???

How many playoff wins do the Ravens have again with Lamar what’s he like 0-2 one of those years the Ravens were like the hottest team going in.

My bad Lamar and the Ravens are 1-3 in the playoffs

Here is how I look at it.    You just build a team to win the SB. But now you win a SB, and your QB needs a new contract...do you not pay him?

My goal is absolutely to find and pay a QB long term.  I want to contend long term.   Trying to get lucky and avoid paying a top QB seems dumb to me.

1-3.   He beat Tennessee because they couldn't score.  Idk...maybe it's just a lot of coincidence.  I'll still let someone else try it that way.

Him, this is what I don't get from you.   When we all point out that we can't beat good teams with their starting QB...   why do you automatically look at that as a shot at Hurts?

To me the first thing is the defense.    Then second comes the fact that Hurts can lead the team to score enough points to match.      That's team.    Really Hurts has the Giant game IMO where he deserves the #1 share of the blame over the course of the entire game. Of which we all saw Reagor mess it up at the very end.

Other than that loss... the defense is absolutely at least 50% of all the others.. and 99% of the reason vs KC.  The team is what we have been saying. Why doesn't that get through?

Yes but we were paying for it this year…money is massive in the NFL. This next season. Our money in the QB is drastically slashed. Reflecting our investment. That means we can afford more playmakers at the skill positions, no? Massive money on top QB or…or….wait a minute…..it’s coming…..you use that money on a big time receiver and RB.

Ok ... shifting discussion a little.   Option 1... have Hurts and Minshew battle it out and keep both next year.

Option 2... trade Minshew.... what do we get?

Option 3, trade Hurts... what do we get?

IMO..  I do Option 1.  I don't think you lose much value with Hurts. Still probably get a 4th or 5th next year. The issue is you also will lose Minshew.  But to me investing elsewhere this year is probably the best thing to get the team back to legit.  Then figure out QB in 2023.

You sound like your back in the Chip Kelly let’s hunt for Sam Bradford mode.

Trade both. Run with Sinnett. Pick Chase(top QB) in 2023 draft after Tankseason.

Ham.... your point was you want to avoid paying the QB 40 million.    You gotta do it if he is a legit prospect.  You can't worry about missing it.  You either have one or you don't...trying to avoid paying for one isn't going to work.  Better off taking chances and missing. Unless your focus is not only on winning the whole thing.
