Wow it took 18 months to come up with this beauty?

Word on the street is Brooks is going to retire. IF so the Eagles will gain around 19 mil in cap space. Gutting Barnett 6/2 will gain them another 5 mil. That should free up 36 mill total for FA signings this year. Not great, but better than reworking a bunch of contracts to put us under in the future. No way I want to rework Johnson's contract....

   Would you trade #15 and next year's first for Garoppolo? I am thinking that is probably what it will take. I also would do it in a heart beat. May take an additional 3rd or 4th...

Not a Jimmy G fan...  I wouldn't trade our 2nd round pick for him.

JG's career record - 45/18 -completion percentage - 67-7 - QB rating - 98.9 - So all he does is win games, but we only want to offer a 2nd or 3rd round pick?

Derek Carr's Career record - 57-70 - Completion percentage 65 - QB Rating - 92.4 .  Word is LV is asking for 2 first round picks at a min should they decide to trade him.

But you only want to offer a 3rd round pick?

Desaun Watson - 28-25 career record - 67.8% and a 104.5 Rating.  I want no part of this dude but his stats are not towering over JG's....

Right... But I'm not an NFL team. I'm not a GM asking for 2 first round picks. I'm not even saying give up 2 first round picks for Carr.

 I understand this. But we all know the going rate for a top QB. Now obviously Howie will do what he can to obtain one at the best price. I was just throwing out JG as he is a proven winner with a pro arm. Something we do not have. Maybe SF will let him go for less. They spent 3 #1 picks to grab Lance, so they are going to try and get as much as they can to recoup some of that obviously. What other teams are willing to pay is another question. Also, I think Jimmy will have a say in this and could make things difficult for the 49ers. If he doesn't sign a deal and says he won't go to a specific team, it would tie their hands. That would help in negotiating, assuming JG would be willing to come here.

   Listen, what I do not want, is to use all 3 1st round picks for a QB in the draft or to trade for Desaun Watson..... We need to build up our defense and this is the year to do so.

I'm wondering if they would deal Lance. Of course he's not a proven,but there aren't too many "provens" on this team right now. JG's still young. If we like him then do what you gotta do. IDK if 1 first would get Lance

You look at Win-Loss and see that this dude just wins games. Sure he is not the most Proficient passer, but he can make all of the throws and will do so when it counts. Bottom Line is, if you have supporting cast, you can win a SB with him as your QB.

   But, He is most likely losing this week against Rogers....

However with the success he has had this year,I would find it difficult to buy that SF would make a change at this point

As far as Carr, one could argue with all the turmoil this team has been through,losing Ruggs and Waller for awhile,losing Gruden etc would put a real damper on his numbers and once again LV seems to like him,but he is now in a similar situation to Wentz. The difference being LV will get him the weapons he needs where Howie failed to do that here. So IDK what LV would do at QB,unless like Wentz they wish to wipe the board clean and start again. I always thought Mayock was good at making draft picks(hint hint). But we DID see some pretty AMAZING plays in that Chargers game(best game I have seen in my lifetime)

Garrapolo is always getting hurt and seems to make the worst throws at the worst times.
