Garrapolo is always getting hurt and seems to make the worst throws at the worst times.

Hurts hasn't been hurt and seems to make the worst throws at the worst times

I know, you can tell by his terrible 45-18 W/L record! I mean just compare it to Hurts and you will see it makes no sense to go after him!!

The NFL is loaded with Starting QB's who win over 70% of their starts, right?

Are you serious? Just think about this;

JG's career record - 45/18 -completion percentage - 67-7 - QB rating - 98.9 - So all he does is win games, but we only want to offer a 2nd or 3rd round pick?

Derek Carr's Career record - 57-70 - Completion percentage 65 - QB Rating - 92.4 .  Word is LV is asking for 2 first round picks at a min should they decide to trade him.

But you only want to offer a 3rd round pick?

Desaun Watson - 28-25 career record - 67.8% and a 104.5 Rating.  I want no part of this dude but his stats are not towering over JG's....

You watch Jimmy G this year, including Sunday..... and you want to trade 1st round picks for that guy?    We need the picks.   If he was a free agent,  I'm not sure I would take him.

Slightly different TEAMS….wouldn’t you say.

You look at Win-Loss and see that this dude just wins games.

His team wins games.   When I watch them play, it seems more inspite of him.   There is a lot to consider in the equation.   The main thing is that an average QB isn't going to win ( when it counts) with this current Eagles team.  We need to use the picks to build the team.

If this was next year, maybe, but I think we need to fill in all the blanks we have here(and we have a boatload). We aren't close to being serious contenders. I'm not sure losing all those round 1 picks is the way to rebuild. SO IDK what Howie does. he is hard to get a grip on. What worries me this draft is that Howies pulls the "friend of a friend" draft choices or ignores the top defensive players

Yes, it makes no sense to go after him, agreed.

Good in the first half. Disaster in the second. He made three terrible mistakes in the second half to try and give the game away against the Cowboys.

If SF gets a 1st rounder for him, I would applaud them.

I'm interested in Huntley from the Ravens

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HuntTy01.htm   2 disaster games, his opener(not ready hadn't played with the 1's) and his last at the Squeelers where he was trying to carry this lackluster team across the finish line. That is just inexperience coupled with a team that was once again beat up all year.Losses vs Cleveland(by 2) GB and LA by 1 point(and those are some good defenses) and 3 point loss to Pittsburgh

So wonder if he would be interested in "driving up the road a few hours" lol

Yes and in slightly different divisions. NFC West record was 114-81 the past 3 seasons while the NFC East was 79-116.

It’s fine. If you are smitten with a guy that has big durabitly issues that seems to throw terrible interceptions at the wrong time….that’s up to you. I’m not sold on him at all.

Read the stories. It’s not like ‘ oh how weird G made a terrible play at the worst time that’s weird.’ More like….here we go again.

I am not so sure I agree, based on his stats. HIs QBR differs from your assessment. Plus the Eagles O-Line is better than SF's. Not to mention SF plays against The Best DT in the league twice a season. OK, so if you feel he is not worth a first, maybe Howie gets him for a 2nd plus a conditional next year based on playing time.

In any event, Jimmy is heads above what we have now. I am willing to roll with him for 2-3 years while we build up in other areas.

LOL, Coming from a strong supporter of Hurts who throws terrible Interceptions at the wrong times and other times!

Huntley is progressing fairly quickly, the big drag on him is he is small and light. His college scouting wasn't too hot,but it seems he has corrected those errors, but due to his size it's a risk,so IDK

He throws less interceptions than Derek Carr does, yet we are thinking about getting him.....

I’m not all about Hurts like that. Sure wouldn’t trade a first round pick for Hurts. But…he’s 23. Garrapolo is 30.

I am open to all options that will allow us to keep 2 first round picks this year plus at least our second and next years first... We need to rebuild the defense and we do not have the Cap space most think we do....
