At any rate I was trying to find cheap guys we could add along with draft picks. While we re-build. I hope Howie WAKES UP and gets us a CB,and LB at LEAST. IMO King would at least be worth looking into

I get it, Hurts is bad and you want to make a change. But change just for change doesn't do anything.  It's even worse if you give up assets, it could set you back.

Any 1 year deal is not really giving up any assets, but I get your point....

I’m seeing a long list of Colt and Viking FA defenders. Looks like a really good place to start looking. Even the Jets. All coaching ties there. Maye got injured so not sure how that changes everything. Always the idea of taking an aging corner and making him S. Especially guys that know this system. We have corner, S and LB options all just right there.

I’d go for that Whitehead S with the Bucs. Sure had a very good game against us.

I don't know Ham. This actually might be the year Howie fools us all and actually drafts a LB!  There is 1-2 guys around where we draft. He saw how Parsons changed the Dallas defense. Maybe he sees that having a disruptive player at LB actually makes the defense better! would be a shocker, but a pleasant one......

Was looking over the draft, S's there are not any decent ones after 2. 2 may be the best place to grab one(King was a 2). IMO Brisker and Hill are the only 2 viable round 2 S's

Harold Landry is a FA that could really change things for us. Tennessee Edge rusher would fit in here

DE Harold Landry, LB Vander Esch and S Marcus Williams that would be a great defensive FA haul

The issue with QB.. it's the expensive position.   One year for a relatively cheap one could be $5-10 million.    The cap is a rolling cap... you wouldn't ever get it back.  That cap space could be used to lock in a good player elsewhere.     

I'm in for saving everything....draft picks and cap.   Plus it needs to be obvious to all the current guy is not the right guy.   Just a little patience could go a long way here in doing things right.

I feel like Epps has earned playing time the hard way. He’s an NFL starter. In today’s NFL I want three S. I need three S.  The Wahoo S Tandem is pretty old. Both are FA. FA has options though there.

Marcus Williams of the Saints. Marcus Maye of Jets. Quandary Diggs of Seattle. Honey Badger is on top of the list of FA S. Maye just shredded his Achilles.

Why would those teams give those guys up? We can sit here and name every FA there is,but that won't bring them here

So which of those would a team be willing to give up because their previously drafted talent is ready to take the job?

I was loving Maye. Tough blow. Not sure exactly how to feel about signing to him on a massive deal fresh off Achilles. Maybe it actually really softens his numbers. Williams of the Saints is now the prime target. Diggs would be a good move also. 

Colts have a couple DBs to look at also

Only way I see getting ANY of those is through "cap casualty" teams aren't just going to let their top players walk

That's why I think they need to fill in the puzzle. Do QB in 2023 when he will have a better supporting cast. Offense and Defense. 

We have Slay. Have Maddox. Epps. So it just seems obvious to try and add a great piece here at S in FA. Decently likely we add a CB early in the draft. So….

King is gettable,I don't see the others breaking free unless we overpay them or they are cap casualties

Gotta have money to get great players. These are the FA list. Cap casualties is a whole other area of players to acquire.
