Don’t think Siri and Howie both who supported Hurts changes anything with how we approach the draft or QB…. If we feel like we can upgrade QB we will do it whether that be draft or trade(of course this all comes at the right prices)

Well IMO it's just DUMB to show your hand this early. may as well trade Shew now-he's done here

Pittsburgh moving up to take a QB at 15 from 20 would be perfect. We pretty much wouldn’t lose anything. Just add picks.

If you don’t show support for hurts then you kill his value if you didn’t want him

His value is real cheap backup

Let’s not start Minshew hate again when our starter has never even played at his level as a QB

Like I said just post your '22 starting roster. I don;t know any team that makes statements this early cutting guys out of competition. You can support Hurts without cutting others out

"Hurts' is obviously the front runner, but we will compete in camp like we do every year" See? that's much better

I think his "value" is based on what other team think of him?

I would think they really want Pickett,so that would make sense

Sure and if I’m a team I like hurts but know the Eagles don’t want him why would I offer much of anything to get him

LOL ok If we didn;t want him Shew would be starting LOL

It’s the offseason nobody is starting lmao 🤣

This is the same team that fully supported Wentx last offseason why we likely knew he was gone out the door but saying that just plummets his value

They are going to let us pick first at 15 so they can get their guy at 16? Your whole theory here is based on we are sharing our draft plans with a team behind us so they can decide whether to trade or not. Sorry but not one if your better ideas. Makes zero sense.

Right... neither team will share who they are taking...the decision will be based on the offer.

Is he not real cheap? And backup? To me….nothing there even offensive.

They will have to tell us who they are drafting before we accept the trade. Pretty much standard operating procedure. Right now….we are working on the price…..for 15.

Why wouldn't you lose anything?    They could take a guy we want.... at pick 15, 17 or 18?

Doubt it is traded until the pick comes. Everybody wants to make sure their guy is still there. Or a guy falls there unexpected is the best.

If they were trading for a QB. We pick at 16. So 17 and 18 are going to be up on the air. We obviously need an eye on what their likely preferences are. But we are likely only talking one guy coming off our board. This is after we picked our TOP guy at 16, mind you. At 19 and 20 we have the same guys….maybe minus one.

Why do they need to tell us who they are drafting?     They make an offer for picks.... we decide if it's enough...that's pretty much it.  If they don't tell us, then they can let us make the pick at 15... and can offer us a trade at 16 again.

What's so hard about it.... teams don't have to reveal who they are going to take.  Did Miami tell us...or did it matter with the Bears and Giants?

We just happen to be in an odd situation where we have 2 picks in a row.   Howie gets an offer...and he will have to decide if it's worth it...or take a  player first then trade.  If it's a team coming up from early round 2, I don't see it making a huge difference.

" Odd situation of two picks in a row.”That’s where I’m digging into. It’s more than that. It’s that whole part of the draft we control. 15 to 19. Three picks together. I’m explaining how using that could even extend it further.

I agree...I think the idea is that Howie and everyone else will have an idea of who a team trading up will take... the discussion should be, that Howie either tells the truth or bluffs that they really don't want to lose the guy at 15.

I mean...OK you tell me who you want at 15... I'm going to be like, " that's the guy I want to, so that I make you up the offer.

We don't control picks 17 and 18. Don't make it rocket science.  It will come down to the offer.

If we worked that trade with Pittsburgh for their QB. If we had two guys pretty equal at 15. We could possibly get both at 16 and 20. We’d know Pittsburghs guy to know how big a blow it would do to our own draft board. Then we get to pick a guy at 16. Top guy. But also consider the 17 and 18 picks. Could we have two guys on our board at 15 but those two would only consider the one? Take the guy at 16 they’d more likely take. Then you still have 19 and 20. So you really could do it all over again. Trade back on 19 and still get your 15th pick guy at 20. Got your two 15th pick options at 16 and 20…while adding boatloads of picks.

I guess I'm just not excited about Pittsburgh moving up from 20 to 15... what do we get there?   Pick 52?

We do a trade with a team in the 30s and we get an additional 1st rounder,  would seem better.  More impact of a move.

The move to 20 and still get our guy thing.... that's too much " smartest guy in the room" thing.     We know it's BS and that guy would go 17 or 18.

It’s our hand we have been dealt. It’s really pretty good. You can trade more than once. Moved back to 20….you still could trade that to somebody at pick 36.
