Nope. This reminds me of when you wanted Sudfeld to start in the 2017 playoffs.  Wentz is your QB, there are no " breathers" Sudfeld is your backup now anyway.  But with this kind of trend with Wentz getting constantly hit... you may get your wish anyway.

IDK seems to me you should dress both your BU QB's and let both get some garbage snaps in.If Wentz goes out and Suds stinks, you still have another option. And Hurts is the "dodge 'em" QB which may have worked with the piss poor O line.Ped's job is to win games, whatever personnel he uses to get the W is immaterial

We called up Trevor Williams from the PS. Makes sense as we are light at corner.

If he's healthy he's at least an average NFL starter, so he's a good depth piece.

I feel like as a play caller Doug should have plays ready to call to help Wentz get back into a rhythm.

Somethign to give him an easy completion  play call that Wentz just likes etc.

Again go back to 2017 but we did these things we got Wentz under center wasn’t a lot but it was something Wentz liked

The Cowboys saw success with swing passes into the flat to Elliot, and it's something I hope they do with Sanders/Scott tomorrow. It's a safe play that the Rams struggled to cover. I have had enough with screen passes that don't fool anyone. just let the RB release and get matched up on a LB.

Would think Rams will be expecting that then if they let Dallas use them... I say utilize it some but feel like we tend to go to the well to often on some plays lol

Maybe just me but would rather see us move Trevor Williams to active roster and cut one of our Gs.

We have what 5-6 Gs on roster and only 4 CBS

Solak does an excellent job breaking things down here. Seemed like the obvious answer before the game to me.

I think you can use the roster spot for someone else that is needed.   You didn'tmention " garbage" snaps.... you said to take Wentz out to a series after he makes a mistake.  That's not gonna happen.

So we disagree.Sometimes you get a rude awakening when you are pulled from a game even for a series. If coach sees Wentz struggling and costing the team with bonehead plays,I take him out and settle him down.We know he is good,he's not good when he's rattled, and frankly if you are sucking rocks, that's a momentum that needs reversed.Has nothing to do with taking away your confidence in him, just telling him to "ok get your head together",which should be done pre-game,but we all know QB's can be rattled(see Eli Manning)

Who pulls the coach out when he makes bonehead calls?

Been a rollercoaster ride for Williams with us. He was cut before even getting a chance. Then brought back. Now called up from the PS. One of the first players cut from the squad and now he could be contributing quite a bit already in week two.

Since Doug Pederson and Jim Schwartz got here in 2016, the Eagles have played 71 games. When they don’t force a turnover, they’re 5-11 (.313 winning percentage. When they force one or more, they’re 37-18 (.673).

Same old same old.We can't do CB's or LB's lol

I actually like them bringing back Williams. I would like to see him start opposite Slay. It won't happen but I'd like to see it.

This will be an interesting week. The Rams have two legit receivers, so I would expect them to pick on Maddox. We will see how he does, as last week was a bit of a layup for him.

I am hoping we don't play zone. We have Riley and Gerry on the field because they are good in man coverage, and you need to play man against the Rams to prevent Goff from throwing quick easy passes. Dallas got killed in zone and had better success when they went to man, even with their issues at corner.

In theory, this is the kind of offense our defense was built to stop. The Rams don't have a great oline, so our DTs should generate pressure. And Goff likes to throw short passes, so we should be able to make him hold the ball. We will see if this is what actually happens.

I always like mixing up the coverage. Don’t let them call plays knowing what defense they are facing. That’s too easy. I also feel Roby-Coleman has been a little overrrated. Kupp will probably be a problem for him. I think we saw what really effects the Rams offense....shut down their rushing attack. Don’t give them effective playaction.

Our goaline/ short yardage D I sure hope got worked out this week. One of the more disappointing aspects of the week one loss.

I image so not having Avery on the field and getting Hargrave back image will be massive boost.

Also the D shouldn’t be getting an a avg. of 1:17 rest in between drives so shouldn’t just be gassed either

I’d like to see us work the short quick passing game and the ground game early in the game wear the D down some slow down the pass rush before we start taking some shot plays

Hurts to be active with Suds inactive is the early reports

Alshon, Huntley, Suds, Avery, Brown and Opeta are the inactives today...

Sogn two Gs to active roster for them just to be inactive don’t get it
