Yea except the 700+ yards he had last year while Julio was hurt he played in more games without Julio in 2020 then he played in general in 2021.

Think he has shown he can produce without Julio bigger issues should be the mental aspect for why he just quit and sat out most of 2021

You could be correct, I'm probably just sour on him due to fantasy... lol.   Seems like he starts off well in games then just disappears.

Watson cleared of all criminal charges.

My guess the trade talks will heat up lot more in regards to Watson now…. Still facing civil charges and of course the NFL could punish him.

That’s huge. You went trading for Watson for a one year rental. He probably gets suspended. But no criminal charges is massive for his character. He’s now tradeable. Carolina wants him the most. Going to be a bidding war. We have the most ammo. Going to be more than Wilson. Bad optics making him your franchise guy. But many here don’t care about the intangibles and rooting for good guys. If it’s about playing QB on the field….Watson is your guy. Rosie has been following closely. So he’s ready. What’s it going to take to get an elite QB in his prime? Id like a one this year and next. A second this year and next. Sadly think negotiations started there. How much is too much to give up for one player? Really interesting situation. We need to add talent and youth. So if we give up everything not sure we are getting anywhere.

We are going for it. Just no doubt Rosie been eyeing him. I don’t see us getting outbid. So it just comes down to what Watson decides. I’d he interesting in coming here at all? Just don’t know. Pitt. And Carolina are our competition Not like those are huge markets with tons of celebrities and beaches.

I’m hoping we can keep Hurts as his backup. Would be ideal and really strong. I’m sure Hurts could learn from him. Also it keeps the same playing style with the offense.

Watson's not coming to Philly.

This is honesty interesting debate. Clearly Watson last year stated he didn’t want to come here his goal was Miami.

Miami has since stated they have no interest and fired Flores who was a major part trying to get him.

Think Houston will want Watson out the AFC. In the NFC three big names tied to him are Seattle/Carolina/Philly Watson has said he doesn’t want the later two teams but if they are the only two teams willing to trade for him it come down to how bad does he want out of Houston.

Could be some other dark horse contenders TB possibly but the top 3 NFC teams are the ones I’ve been hearing most.

I think he have to package Hurts in a deal for Watson. Really zero reason to keep Hurts as a backup if you go for Watson sell hurts at his highest peak ideally to lower the pick compensation to get Watson.

1st 2022, 1st 2023, Hurts, Dillard for Watson could be a steal for us cost wise

I know what Houston wanted originally was like three 1st rounder and pair of players. That just doesn’t seem realistic anymore.

It honestly hard to justify giving up what Denver did for Russ. Outside of a possible suspension for Watson to miss games he also hasn’t played football in over a year.

Really will come down to the market of teams serious about Watson I’d say two firsts is a given Hurts/Dillard paired with it could put us over the edge. Selling Hurts high and Dillard could still be a starting LT in the league

If Watson wants out of Houston.   Giving them the LT they wanted to draft in 2019 and the 15th best QB in the league should be enough. No picks necessary.  The 15th best QB in the league is a top half of the league starter.  First year as a starter and that value should be through the roof.  Throw in the intangibles... probably don't need to include the LT.     Which other team can offer Houston that?

What was Wilson ranked last year on this QB list?   Given his age ... the amount of value he had in the trade market.... one would assume that #15 on that QB list is right there in value.

Barring Carolina or Seattle throwing in three 1sts plus a couple 2nds, the Eagles should easily give more value with their QB and backup LT.

Pitt has to be in the mix.

I hear your point. But he would be an ideal backup to Watson. Maybe his strong character will rub off some.

Bidding war. Niners gave up a ton for Lance. Wilson you can have doubts if his play is declining. Also projecting how much longer he can play. Watson is in his prime. His suspension will be four games max.

You know they are craving the intangibles right now. Bet his character is really coveted in many a locker room.

Right... Hurts for Watson...Houston throws in a 2nd rounder.

Nobody can say Kelce is just a dumb big guy.... pretending to retire each year and getting more money each time is great business.  Eagles will bribe him again next year with a big contract again.   Probably 15 mil.   Smart dude for sure.

I don’t think Houston wants to trade him in the AFC plus Pitt has said they have no interest. Guess you can’t rule them out completely but if multiple teams come calling my guess it’s an NFC team that lands Watson

Amari Cooper to Cleveland for a 5th round pick and a 6th round swap

Only so many teams how many are seriously going to be in on Watson:

Watson can deny teams and Houston can refuse to trade him i don’t see an AFC team trade happening plus Pitt has stated to no be interested.

looking at the NFC you have Seattle/Philly/ Carolina/ TB

only team that can really compete in a bidding war is Seattle if they want to give up the picks they just received for Wilson.
