SO once again we will wait(and wait and wait) and scoop up 3rd rate players on the cheap instead of spending money on 2 solid players with a nice draft coming. I want Allen Robinson(Chark would be fine also) and someone one on defense(LB or edge)

I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling they're gonna pick up Chandler Jones.

FA starts (16th @4pm) in 2 days.

I expect 9 wins again. Maybe better. It’s just a bit early to talk about at this moment. Have to see what transpires. A strong draft and a few quality FA and I think we are in business. Don’t think it’s just the players though. Think our coaches need seasoning. Not sure they are ready for the real chess matches. Think some of the upper echelon coaching had them pegged. Both the OC and the DC. Some of it was due to rookie coach learning curve. Some maybe to talent. Can Siri be a SB winning coach? I’ve had my doubts. Did some dumb things last season. Also had some quality moments. Kept the disaster start minimalized and didn’t lose the team. It was teetering I think. But that was huge. Even if it came at the expense of beating the lowly Lions. Mutiny was at hand. Shows players and coaches will work Dr him. Winning playoff coach is much different. Whole season worth of tape on your team. He valued secretly going into the season for an advantage. You don’t get any of that in the playoffs. They see 17 games of your team against all different opponents. See what works. Also see your adjustments. Huge step there. Can’t change either under the pressure. Can he coach the big game? I think it’s fair to question.

Im surprised at the Coop deal, seems CHEAP to me

It was about taking on his pay.

They would have cut him I believe.

Jarvis Landry has been told to seek a trade. He’s a very interesting option. Don’t think he’ll cost a ton. Fourth round pick maybe. Last year of his contract. He’s a good vet that could teach some things. Maybe even stay on longer. If he leaves you get a decent comp pick out of it I’d think.

Brady didn’t stay retired long apparently decided to come back for a 23rd season

Being the cynical guy i am i have to wonder if there is any cap advantage for the Bucs with him announcing retirement and then unretiring.

Thought the Bucs were pretty cap strapped with a ton of pending FA.

Fournette had already said goodbye to Tampa….then just erased that.

Cowboys bail on Cooper then overpay Gallup.

So many possibilities at this time of year. Possibly trade for all kinds of talent. Sign FA. Draft these kids. Could really use Rosie having a special offseason.

We could take over the division.

So you would look at the losses this past year and focus on the other coaches vs the other team's talents?

Andy and Arians...were 3 of the losses.... you can argue coaches there, but talent difference is obvious.  What about Dallas, the Raiders, Chargers and SF.   How about the Giants coach that was fired.     Did coaching really standout as a mismatch more so than the players?

What does stand out... we bear bad teams, other than Detroit and the Jets, the rest all were crushed with key injuries, not the normal " nobody is 100% healthy, everyone has injuries" cliche.

Now when fans want Watson or Wilson... all of a sudden when a Denver or Carolina have better draft position than us, now we have to offer more.   But, Hurts, Dickerson and Milton got playoff experience,  whatever that experience was.

I love how the manufactured hype train is rolling for Minshew. Feel like we leakedthe Story of his trade interest. Doesn’t seem remotely like a true option the Colts are going after. Just need the perception that he’s considered a starting option for somebody. Then the next very desperate somebody maybe takes the bait on him.

The Temple boy coming home... picked right before Barnett in 2017

Did I witness some bad coaching and game plans last season on our part? Absolutely! Seemed such an obvious plan to use those fantastic mobile going forward big Oline we have. Pretty criminal the amount of carries…especially to the RB. Was the defensive gameplan way too simple and soft at times? Absolutely again. How you letting so many QBs throw on you like that. Sure he was holding back the big play. But automatically giving up 10 a pop.
Now this was a first time almost everybody on our staff was up to this level of the profession. I’m accepting of a learning curve. Took some time to get things across also with new schemes and language. But can you say that they are ready for the big moments? Just the coaching staff.

I can't say anything much about this team....except I expect them to run 40 times when the opponent has a pathetic offense.    Other than that,  I really don't know much.      Ironically when we needed to run the ball, we couldn't at the end.

But yeah... vs a bad or very injured opponent,  it's logical to think a game plan would look better.

Hassan Reddick... former Temple star.   That should be Barnett's replacement.

Now….would you call him a 3-4 OLB?

15 mil per for three years on Riddick

I’ll assume we only take on 3.5 mil this year towards the cap.

How is Sidney Jones getting 3.5 mil even with Seattle?

Quandre Diggs resigned with Seattle. One good S down.

Pedey got Christian Kirk. Pretty big money.

Steelers going Trubisky.

Ogbah stays in Miami

You knew Pedey had to get that field stretcher.

Let’s get Landry

Cut because of brilliant backloaded contracts that make some people think their wise for having to cut a good player.

Riddick is 235 pounds

Really small for a DE.
