Eagles have to get out of the dead money hell they are currently in. That's not gonna happen overnight.

I'm good with building through the draft for the next year or 2 and being careful with the free agents..

the Eagles also have 48 players, some of who are still on the roster, accounting for over $62 million in dead salary cap space.

I hear Slay restructure will create another 12 mil in cap space.    Phillies signing guys... Sixers got Harden.    Ridley was a target...  the talk shows are saying something could be in the works as Howie likes to be in the news.

Ojabo just tore his Achilles. He’s probably been the most popular pick for us.

Yes... I'm more interested in building through the draft at this stage too.  I'm ok with everything so far.   If i had to go one way or the other,  I would say he could have been more aggressive in moving on.... trading Cox and not paying Kelce.   But we need Kelce for this wild 2022 run we are going to make?      For me, 2022 will be all about this draft.  Get players and even better if we add more good picks in trades.   Repeat of last spring would be great.

Sure, but nothing wrong with adding  a YOUNG guy with a little experience

We have 40 million in cash? Can't spend 15-18 on a good FA we need? Like we have no positions to fill? LOL. Like I said it's cause Howie needs that later for all his back loaded contracts lol. if this was a "normal team" you can bet we'd have a pair of nice FA's in here ahead of the draft

Oh well pick another one and we can add him in round 4 lol(he was my #1 pick on my mock)

GB...there is the element of the player choosing to play elsewhere when it comes to free agency.   It's not automatic like a lot of you seem to think it is.

Think about a player choosing Cleveland instead of Philadelphia???    That's where we are now.

Time to put your head down and draft well, turn the perception of the organization around.   People know what's up... within the league nobody was fooled with the 9 wins.

How about the scenario... we make 2 of the 1st round selections.... trade back to early 2nd round... getting a 1st next year... and we take this kid with that early 2nd round pick?

I just have one problem with that. Too reminiscent of Sidney Jones.

Or we just pick Jermaine Johnson. If we trade back I’d take Cameron Thomas. I think I prefer both anyway personally.

Wyatt feels like our first round Dline to me.

Tennessee just got Robert Woods for a future sixth rounder. That would have been a great move for us.

Does it though.   Because for me, it's a little different if I'm making the selection after 2 firsts are taken, and then I also have another 2nd round pick.  With Jones it was only Barnett taken 1st and then we didn't have another pick until the end of round 3.

If the player is legit,  and we have multiple other top picks that are playing... and let's face it, 2022 success isn't as important as it was when we drafted Jones in 2017... it wouldn't be the end of the world to red shirt him a year if needed.

Yea the 230m Fully guaranteed probably had zero to do with it most in the nfl

Eagles supposedly have the 8th most cap space with around 27.5m image we see the Eagles sign some guys in the 2nd face of FA guys that will sign more reasonable contracts

Sure but also money talks. Maybe they suddenly want to play here for an extra 1/2 mil? We're not getting anyone by matching offers

I can actually see us trading back 2 round 1's

Kinda "strange" after he got hurt we re-signed Cox?? I'm sure it's nothing LOL

Missed here and with Robinson(and everyone else). We'll head to the bargain basement as we usually do and add a few -players we can cut later. Noone of consequence. Howie is saving his look to pay off backloaded contracts

Yeah... that was probably after the Eagles were already out of it.  Which seemed like a while there.   What about Wilson... did Denver offer more $$.    It is what it is at the moment.   That could flip back again soon enough.

Used to be the Devante Adams type  situation worked for us.   It is what it is.

They opened up some cap space with Slay... let's see who they overpay to bribe to get here.   Maybe Landry????

Yeah, but IDK he hasn't been the same after the injury,so hard to know his value without seeing him play. Some come back 100% others 75%. Even if it's not a WR,I am surprised we haven't tried to shore up an area of need with a FA

Browns acting like Watson is superman and can never be hurt. IMO TOO much,he goes down that team suffers a long time(again lol). Seems overly risky

I'm sure we have... tried that is. Trying and being successful are two different things.   But this is why draft is key...nobody can turn down your offer there. You control it 100%

Love the pure speculation to help fit your narrative sound like ham now lol

Yeah, like I said with the team the way it is you have to exceed another offer. Matching it won't get it done. I'm sure Howie has put his offers in. If we can fill a need for 2-3 years I would be ok with a SLIGHT overpay. face it salaries are never going down again

To be fair, he will need lots of money to settle the 22 civil suits he's about to handle.
