Probably trying to get McVey to stay

To be fair, he will need lots of money to settle the 22 civil suits he's about to handle.

230 million should be enough

Watson chose Cleveland over NO who probably have the best roster of the teams reportedly interested.

The fact they were willing to not only give up the assets on top of paying him 230m fully guaranteed probably why they got him. Houston is happy and Deshuan gets a huge pay day he is happy.

Without moving(but I'm sure we will be)  1-15-Davis-DT-Georgia   1-16-Karlaftis-Edge-Purdue(in light of the injury to Ojabo) 1-19-Olave-WR-OSU  2-51-Chad Muma-LB-Wyoming   3-83-Derion Kendrick-CB-Georgia   4-122-Nick Cross-S Maryland. FIll inb whomever with round 5 picks. May I suggest a few O linemen, maybe an upstart RB,more LB,CB are always welcome

NO already worked themselves into no picks,so their position was weak vs Clevelands

What about Wilson... did Denver offer more $$.

They offered a hell of a package for Wilson.

9th overall pick/ 2023 first

2022 2nd and 23 2nd

Noah Fant former 1st round pick that has played well.

then two other players a young QB(though has played poorly) and a DT I think.

Not sure what other teams offered but that’s a hell of a package for a 33 year old QB

Saints have all their picks not sure I understand where you coming on that….

Cap space they dug themselves out fast

Roster I’d still say they have a way better roster then Cleveland

The only edge I’d give Cleveland is maybe the HC.

PS. Kendrick can also be used at WR(LOL)

I think this is the first year for that in some time and I'm, sure they have other areas to address like us. Oh well,no matter,it's done

No saints have had there picks for awhile… took the C Ruiz in 2020… took a DE last year in the first

2019 was the only year the Saints haven’t had a 1st rounder and before that was way back in 2012

Saints so likely want to help spots but it is also easy to see the weakness part of the saints team is QB

Love the pure speculation to help fit your narrative sound like ham now lol

Sure... the Eagles have passed completely on free agency by their own choice.  Makes sense.   I'm ok if we disagree...your view of the Eagles was like mine of the Flyers when I was younger.   It doesn't register that we are a bottom team.   Had to bribe Kelce the last 2 years to come back....amazing how nothing was decides and then wow $14 million?

It is what it is.... it's just Howie being smart now,  absolutely nothing to do with players passing on coming here.  I mean, come on Rus, look at our all time OL, such a good situation for you.

I'm sure we have... tried that is. Trying and being successful are two different things.   But this is why draft is key...nobody can turn down your offer there. You control it 100%

Eli Manning would disagree

Or you know Seattle like I’d rather trade to the opposite conference… Denver offered a hell of a package what does it cost Philly to completely top that so Seattle like this is so great a package we have to take it over Denver and no don’t think 3 firsts does it.

Lmao 🤣 it doesn’t register because it isn’t true. I listen to you all last season talk no way we can make the playoffs…. We made the playoffs…. I’m listening to you now we are a 5 win team and if we make the playoffs again what will be your excuse.

You biggest claim oh Lane Johnson, Slay going to retire soon both are 30…. Every player that turns 30 you act like it’s 1970 and there careers are over

Right...reports from everywhere the Eagles and Washington were interested but Wilson said no.   These two cases in particular were guys with no trade clauses... they had some input on who was in the mix.

Now if I'm being 100% honest...I don't think it's 100 % not wanting to be here... I think in particular Wilson and Watson were looking at giving Hurts a chance to have a starting job.   So that's part of why we were off the table.

Yeah....John Elway and Eli Manning... 2 guys in forever.   You see a 15th pick saying no...they would prefer to drop a pay slot?      Totally different circumstances.

I gotcha... the impressive wins were countless last year.  Which 2022 starting QB did we beat?

Yeah, like I said with the team the way it is you have to exceed another offer. Matching it won't get it done. I'm sure Howie has put his offers in. If we can fill a need for 2-3 years I would be ok with a SLIGHT overpay. face it salaries are never going down again

Not the time to overpay. That’s what you do for that final piece….maybe two.

I don’t think the last part is a factor. Neither guy ever wanted to come here. But our locker room is behind QB1. Just no reason to mess with that. Let’s get the team better and not ask 80 percent of the offense out of Hurts…and win. Then we got something.

I actually do think guys and their agents feel out situations. Some of these guys get a real good beed on things. So they choose how to do interviews and such. I don’t think every guy accepts every invitation to see and tour the facilities.

Came across one of my hand written mock drafts from years ago. I’m sure its what i posted on here years ago. DeAndre Hopkins was my second round choice. Couple of ok starters otherwise. Not bad for a guy that can’t judge WR. DeAndre Hopkins DJ Moore. Not considered the top guys in this drafts. I’d say my claim to fame with WR is that I was all about Larry Fitzgerald. He was the total package in and off the field for a very  long career. I’d consider him HOF.

Think I’ve been on this site since dial-up days.

I'm not talking about tours and facilities...I'm talking about, a player gets drafted and they refuse to go there?   You've had Eli and Elway....2 guys knowing they were the #1 pick.    Free agency,  guys can pass up a little more money ...if we want a player and select him in the draft,  then he's ours.
