So then what is the concern over the Dallas pick then?   Are we really worried about a franchise that hasn't made a conference title game in what ...almost 30 years?

They beat us every draft right???.  How has that worked out for them?

I don't know why a team does not play well Joe. Maybe you do? Could be coaching. Could be injuries. Could be they don't Gel. But to think we drafted better then Dallas is a joke. Now, maybe they didn't draft the right position, but they certainly drafted a player that deserved to be picked. Maybe they suck at signing free agents. Maybe they suck at cap management. the draft is only one piece of the pie and you are aware of that...

Stine.... how about you forget the rounds...  and just look at it like they have a 15th, 16th and 20th best player?

Because to me...  if you have a top 32 list....that is your first round grade.  Because the first round is 32 picks.

That said, I'm 100% on board with a trade back to 32-38 or so, for those bad teams that I expect to have a top pick next year. 32 is Detroit not the Rams, so I included that pick.

Because who are the 15th 16th and 19th best player Joe??? If you look at all 32 teams bet they all have different players in each spot.

Similar to top 32 or first round grades highly unlikely teams have the same 32 players on there board.

Don’t think either team drafts all that great honestly think Dallas fares a tad better with earlier picks but overall there drafts don’t tend to be that impressive Eagles tend to find later round gems better but we miss the layups

Reagor, Agholor, Marcus Smith and Watkins all should not have been their highest rated player. Maybe Lurie had something to do with it??

Think we need to lay to rest these old ass picks by now lol.

Marcus Smith was 2014 8 years ago lol

AG- 2015 and Howie wasn’t even in control Kelly had all the power that season

Danny Watkins- 2011 11 years ago and AR was in control sure Howie had the title of GM in his 2nd season but everyone knew AR got what he wanted.

Reagor is the only pick I’d be concerned about now only recent draft pick that has been bad to this point in his career

These teams will try to move up if they feel a player they like is available. IF not they will try and move back. Of course, they may have players left on their board they feel are #1 picks. As I said before, No teams draft board is alike. Teams like KC often take gambles on players with off the field issues. Maybe they have to because they are always picking so late. But they won't have a blank board. They will simply take the best available player and hope he works out. Just because they don't have 32 players rated as #1 picks, doesn't mean they don't have players to draft should they not be able to trade back. When you are picking so late, you need to have a plan set with Players you feel will be available should you not be able to move up or down....

Regardless of what you say 32 players get picked in round 1. So if teams have them rated/ranked in round 2, you're saying every player after 16(for example) is a reach? I disagree, every team has every damn slot filled through 3 rounds at LEAST. They have their 3/4/5 picks they want in that round. The guys they feel will fit their respective team. I assume the guy picked at 32 is still better than the guy picked at 33. We all know day 1 is where the studs are,b ut like the mocks we run here I have several players picked out for round 4 in the order I would like them.Of course if my top pick goes,I have to take my second choice, but it's not like I am scrambling when my guy I wanted gets taken. If you dont have this plan in place DAILY by ROUND through the draft,it's difficult to succeed. I'm sure on the nights after the round, the remaining boards are adjusted and players moved around for day 2/'3 and after day 2, that night for day 3. And I know we even have guys chosen for UDFA calls. So my thoughts are teams are much more prepared than you make them out to be,and I am sure the evening between draft days are filled with disagreements as to what that remaining list looks like. The teams that can/want to move up will. Still the fact remains someone gets picked 32nd

I get it. Hard to figure this all out and I really do not understand it completely. I read a few articles and some left me more confused after I read them! Yes, all teams have a plan. They all have players earmarked for their slot. But to think every team has a player there when they pick on their board as a round 1 rated player is not true. Some teams get caught and have to either move back or make a BPA pick that they have rated as a round 2 player. It happens. How many times do we read about a team reached on this guy or that guy from these so called draft experts? Maybe they had no choice? Or maybe they just sucked at evaluating that player. Or maybe the so called Experts were wrong....

Yeah true, alot of guys we pick aren't on any lists ANYWHERE. I just think this is a great draft for us with 3 round 1's we are free to move and GET those targeted players. With 3 round 5 picks, although those guys won't have immediate impact,we can fill in for much needed depth with guys that maybe aren't ready to roll, but ones who could rise in a year or 2. SO I am looking forward to this draft and hoping Howie doesn't blow it

Been working hard and have completed my first full mock. One can argue "won't be there" but noone knows really. We also have the ability to move up or own for my selected players.Of course I have no clue what the Eagles FO thinks, but here is my best shot and I believe I covered as much as possible as far as needs and fills.I really put some effort in on the late picks. 1-15-Jordan Davis- DT-Georgia   1-16-Karlaftis-Edge-Purdue  1-19-Chris Olave-WR-OSU  (Pascal/Reagor in the slot) 2-51-Chad Muma-LB-Wyoming  3-83-Derrion Kendrick-CB-Georgia   4-124- Nick Cross-S-Maryland(I hope he lasts this long would be a great pick here)   5-154- Justin Shaffer-G- Georgia   5-162- Chris Hinton-DT-Michigan(nice 3 tech with potential to start someday)   5-166 Ty Chandler-RB-NC (this could be another RB steal here) 6-194- Danny Gray-WR-SMU (this kid is really under rated and I suspect before draft day I would need to remove him here because he will RISE. If he falls this far,he's an Eagle

IDK pick 32 still gets paid round 1 money, so if he is a round 2 player why would they take him in round 1? Picking late means you can eliminate the top 20,but the remaining 12 are still round 1 picks

I can also see us flipping the first 2 to Johnson(edge) and Wyatt DT,but I think those 2 positions will go first. First round are all "Howie" type picks. After round 1 I hope he relies on his defensive scouts/coaches for rounds 2,3,4,then he can take back over

Another dual threat RB.I would have NP adding him to the RB room. Saw the NC/Wake game. He tore them up in the 4th 1/4

To respond to everything.

1. You seem obsessed with this whole labeling.    So if you have pick 18, and 17 guys that you project as " 1st round grade"   they all get taken.   Can you agree that you will have a guy at #18 on your list?       If so , then you can stop with the rest, because it's all meaningless.  Doesn't matter if you have that 18th guy graded as 1st round or not...  he is the best guy there when you make your first round pick.  32 guys get picked in round 1, that's all that matters, not the round any team has them graded.   If there are 40 guys with a 1st round grade, still only 32 get picked .

2.  Correct, the draft is only one piece.  3. Dallas sucks

4... whatever it is between the last 2 things, who cares.

You are right Joe. I won't bother discussing this anymore. I am signing off until April 28th. Have fun....

I think you have been discussing this with yourself though.  I haven't seen one other post about someone else mentioning grade by round?    Nobody disagreed with you on any of that from what I saw???  I think you manufacture an argument for some reason when it isn't there?

Tyreek Hill trade to Phins

Tyreke Hill going to Miami… Miami gave KC a 1st 2nd and 4th this season and a 4th and 6th in 2023

Miami putting a ton of faith in Tua see how this pans out for them. Seem like a sink or swim year for Tua

Interesting see the Tua v Hurts break down

Tua 21 games

66% 4467 yards 27 TDS 15 ints

78 attempts 237 rush yards 6 tds 10 fumbles(zero lost)

14 wins for Tua

Hurts 20 games

59% 4205 yards 22 tds 13 ints

202 attempts 1138 yards 13 tds 18 fumbles( 3 lost)

9 wins for Hurts.

At least he didn't go to the Cowpies

He'd have fit right in with their culture.

There's been a bit of rumbling in Chiefs country about his domestic problems. Maybe Andy wanted to unload him while he still has good value.

Well the Eagles have been reported to have had no interest in Hill.

Makes sense honestly we don’t have the QB that can take advantage of Hill best attributes. Can’t say I think Miami has that QB either but trust Tua arm way more then Hurts

With such an insane and crazy off season odd to see the Eagles so quiet.

We have seen what 4 QBs traded possibly two more will be traded

Two star WRs traded(reportedly we were interested in Ridley before he got suspended)

Mack got traded

Didnt think we were going to spend big like that in FA or trade but i did think we would have been a tad more active in the 2nd faze of FA with the mid/low tier guys

Well.... let's see what Mahomes looks like without Hill.   🤔

Went to Miami, now they need a QB lol. I don't think Tua is all that good, but like us, they play in a bad division where it's easy to pad stats(Jets and Pats aren't that good although Buffalo is). I think Hill will be unhappy in miami
