Good lord. Wentz has been gone for a year. Give it a rest.

Hey I took it on the chin while you guys ****ed and whined. Feel like I was proven right some real quick in my minority view point. But now he’s in Wash. So if you can’t root against him with the enemy……I scout and love certain guys in the draft in college. You think I stick with them if anybody in the division takes them instead? Heck no. At this point it’s plain and simple loyalty. He didn’t want to be here anymore. Forced his way out. Everybody got fired. Now he plays for The Commanders. Line doesn’t get anymore clear for me as a diehard Eagles fan. Screw him!

Took what on the chin? And what minority view were you "proven right on?" I don't root against QB's I root against TEAMS. Of course I want to beat the Wuss. Maybe though Wentz will make a game of it,instead of the free passes we got playing them last year. I would rather watch a GOOD FOOTBALL GAME and see the individual battles, and players playing their game, and coaches responding to the chess match than a cheap whitewash win vs 3rd stringers

If you guys are sick of the Wentz talk….you haven’t seen nothing yet…..buckle in.

One could opt for a different DT at 15. I would be fine with that also and taking an OT at 154,but using what I felt was the BPA,this is what I got

Taking an OT may sound crazy, but if we're going after a QB next year,I want to make sure even with an injury my QB is going to be protected. This would pretty much announce that to any FA QB. I think we trade back the 15 pick and go after Young in the next draft(which nullifies this thought lol)

So interesting watching a little of an ESPN draft special.   Saw the Eagles take ILB and Guard at 15 and 16... this Davis guy dropped to 27 to Tampa?

And they were talking about the Chiefs using BOTH first round picks to move up for a WR?

Interesting if we were to possibly trade down with KC to get both 28 and 29.  Only thing is that doesn't get the 1st rounder next year.

What it seems like this year, is that this isn't going to be a very predictable draft.

I see alot of movement. Alot of noteworthy players. Nice mix of draftees(like not all studs at one position,it's spread out really well). Good players that can help teams through early round 3,after that it falls off quite a bit although still decent linemen and WR BU's in round 5. IDK depends where teams like the players and their fit. IDK that we would draft a LB in round 1,thus all the FA action at that spot. Would be nice if Howie did,but I don't see it. Saw one mock where we took 2 LB's. Both would be difference makers, but we know how Howie thinks(sadly)

Kinda wondering who will be a FA QB next year. Saw another draft where we took Mailk Willis at QB,so really this draft will be wild. I have no clue what "the plan" is,but I hope they have one. As of now if we only have 1 round 1 pick next year Spencer Rattler falls right where we pick

Too early for next year.  One step at a time.  But, I do think it's smart to get a 1st rounder next year... regardless of the QB situation.

Think about it.... if you were going to draft Smith anyway last year, and got the Miami pick....  if we keep flipping that forward.... each year getting a 2nd rounder plus next years first... you can turn that into Smith and unlimited 2nd rounders... without even using the 1st rounder.  Then when you are ready to move up...you can use the 1st rounder.

Well it's called planning ahead LOL. If Indeed we like a QB next draft,it's wise to get yourself into a position to get him

Yeah,I LOVE that strategy. The issue is Howie has to pick good players every draft to carry that forward. I read where Howie said "I learned my lesson"(regarding the draft) but he never said what that lesson was,SO ??????????? lol

Hopefully the lesson is not to be the smartest guy in the room. Take the guys that everyone has ranked highest when it's your turn early.. save the smartest guy in the room for day 3.

Should we use two of our picks to move up

Smartest guy in the room plan is to keep endlessly flipping picks

There is some talk that Hamilton and Stingley might fall some. Hamilton ran poorly. Stingley measured his short arms.

Not really... any idiot can see the strategy behind the Miami trade last year was very sound.   They got their guy, plus a phenomenal asset in pick 15 ....their top pick this year.  With the proper trade they could flip 19 to 32-38 and get what should be their top pick next year.    You can worry about keeping flipping the picks... the way I look at it is having an extra early 2nd round pick each year.   That's quality addition to each draft.  An extra pick in that range EVERY year... that adds up.  guys like Dickerson,  Ertz, McCoy, DeSean,  Kendricks, Reggie Brown... added every year. Some pro bowl, others decent at worst.   That's a great way to keep a roster going with " the infusion of youth" right from "what seems to be the meat of this draft"

There is a poster on here who always talks about those 2 things.  I'm sure he is smart enough to realize that's better than simply one pick in the late teens?

If I had to guess...

We move up from pick 15... using a 3rd or 4th rounder.

We move down from 16 or 19... getting an early 2nd rounder plus a #1 next year.

I think that would be exactly what they would try to do.   They move up for a target.  Make a second pick in round one, and get additional assets with the other pick. That's vintage Eagles right there.

So? That has what to do with my post about taking a round 1 T. If Driscoll was a round 1 talent wouldn't he be starting by now??
