Look, First we do not know what it will take to get him. What I posted is what I heard they wanted as a minimum. Second, do we have the OC to utilize his talent? I would say a huge no! Heck I doubt 3/4 of the league would be able to utilize him as SF does. Last, We would be spending a minimum of a 4 year contract of 25Mil per on a player and we have so many holes to compete for a championship. Why? To see what Hurts can do? We need to spend that cash for that? I would rather draft that player(s) than to commit that much capital when this team is so far from where it needs to be. This is a class A dumb move IMO. Lose 2-3 draft picks while spending over 10% of your cap just to see what Hurts can do. Knowing all the while the team has no shot at a title. But hey, It looks nice! We have a shiny new toy....

You and FL would rather draft a First Team All Pro than trade for him. Sounds great. Completely unrealistic.

Who said draft an All Pro? Not me! I said get starters! You want to trade for one when he has no support. That is unrealistic unless you are talking about a QB. You do that trade when you need 1-2 pieces to contend for a SB, not to compete for a possible division win with 9-10 and no hope of competing for a title.

Howie is in the Rebuilding process. He better not mess it up.

Maclin had 1 year with McNabb. DJAX had McNabb's last two years with the Eagles. I hardly call that support. Having  WR support as your ending your career helps little.

Pinkston? Seriously? So other than Owens for 1 year he had no WR until his career was almost over.

Well you asked,I am just the messenger. he had more help than we gave Wentz

Again, useless if he never gets to his second read! He can prove he belongs regardless who is on the team. Why should he be different than any other QB in the NFL?

Who said he was different? All QB's have to prove themselves. Last year was hardly a barometer for Hurts with the trash teams we played and the "discovery" of the running game. So it's now or never for Hurts. If you want just FAST guys outside and Hurts runs the ball again himself what has he proven?

If I can draft an all pro every draft, I will do that as often as possible and I will put money in the bank while you annually spend your way to oblivion on FA WR's(and other positions) because you CANT draft all pro's

And that proves we are the best of the worst? Another EASY schedule AGAIN.I just hope we play teams at full strength and not the M.A.S.H units we played against last year

Saw on an NFL network show, where the experts were saying how the college game has changed and that the WRs coming out are better and deeper every draft.   One guy said he would draft one every year as a much better way to fill the position than paying the big $$.

As for the Eagles schedule and the MASH unit...remember if Washington would have beaten us once...both teams would have been 8-8.    I don't think it's a stretch to think both Washington and the Giants won't have as bad of an injury effect.   I don't think it's going to be as easy to win the NFC East as some people think.   Can't bet on injuries every year.

Nope, not at all. NFCE may suck, but it's an equal kind of suck lol.

What I quoted you said "I’d rather draft that player”

Yes I totally agree with doing that at WR. if you find some good ones you can do every other year and still have top notch WR's on rook pay. We would be close right now if Howie had drafted JJ as we all wanted. Well we face wentz twice, love him or hate him he is still better than the guy they got from the parking lot for that one game vs the Wuss. BTW way Joe as you can see what you said about WR is happening at RB. There will be damn good RB's in rounds 4 and 5.

IDK I can fairly well pick out a round 1 WR annually, so can you, we may differ on WHO that is,still the fact remains we CAN get damn good WR's in the draft without dragging out the checkbook. Even at pick 32,I could find a WR who could at least contribute or UP the room as a BU(although my round 1 guy should start). even if you did it every OTHER year you keep that rotational pipeline going. it's not my fault Howie sucked and picked reagor over JJ or we would be in better shape right now that we are. So I suggest that Howie ask this board on draft day which WR to take.it's not that hard(although you had reagor also LOL)

SO,depending on which type WR you want on your offense,my 2 choices are Olave and Burks. 2 different types and I have zero clue what siri wants to do there. Either works depending on what offense you want to run. I would not be against taking another TE this draft and clearing out the dead wood at that position. If I wanted to make Stine happy,I can still locate WR's in round 2 that could be fine for the time being. Same deal as far as types go,in 2 I like either Skyy Moore, Alec Pierce(cincy) or Christian Watson,so depending on your O scheme you have both types in 2 rounds and Howie, if you can't pick one of those 4 you really SUCK at scouting

There are even developmental WR's to take fliers on who have the talent, but needs worked on,Guys like Danny Gray from SMU or Tyquan Thornton from Baylor can be had late. Either of those would bring more competition into the WR room and if you get too many good WR's you can always trade them (or not). Reagors job is ON THE LINE IMO

Question- if you wanted edge first, would you use a 5th to move up for Jermaine Johnson or try to stand pat and take karlaftis? Also FWIW Wyatt is the BEST 3 tech DT(which I believe we run?) or am I stuck in the Schwartz era? I feel Johnson would fit here better and losing a 5th wouldn't be too painful. I also know we like Booth at CB and Pitre at S in round 2. IDK so many ways this could play out. I like Bonitto at edge in round 2 also,so Howie has his work cut out for him

This where you have to realize these guys won’t all be great players. You listed off five early picks. Maybe two of those guys will actually be good. First Team All Pro? Doubt any of them are at that level. We’ll see.

I like Karlaftis. He’s the NFL’s Greek Freak. Gannon speaks about being very multiple and playing different styles. Wyatt has just steadily been rising as scouts poke holes in everybody. To me, that’s a very good sign.

Of coarse, does anyone expect Gannon to be here very long?

Welp, you never know if you let other teams draft them 😁. Then you end up trading that team for them LOL

2022 NFL Draft prospect, Ohio State WR Chris Olave on potentially teaming up with DeVonta Smith on #Eagles: "Man, that’d be huge. Him winning the Heisman, I could learn a lot from him. We’re the same age, I feel like we’d be a great tandem. We’ll see how it shakes.”
