At 6-2, 225 pounds, JJ Arcega-Whiteside is an above-average blocker at WR & was pretty solid on special teams last year. Moving him to TE is logical for him & the #Eagles because there’s a baseline for a No. 3 TE. It’s a flier, like Tyree Jackson before him.

I always LMAO at 40 times because can someone do that every play ALL game??? it should be an "indicator" thats all. Didn't we learn diddly after drafting Reagor???

The ten yard split is a big part to look at

BTW I look at cone drills and shuttle times. That tells you who has the "moves". Straight line speed is overrated and rarely used unless that's your 1 trick pony claim to fame

Vertical jump is a solid measurable

40, vertical, broad jump, 10 yard split etc. are nice gives you more info on guys but at the end of the day we have seen combine warriors that are massive busts and guys that didn’t perform well at the combine have huge success in the nfl.

I think everyone invited to the combine should be required to DO ALL the exercises. Skipping 1 or 3 because you suck doesn't tell us how MUCH you suck. If you aren't going to 100% participate, then don't accept the invitation. More wussy BS

To me just depends some positions I just don’t even see the need for some of the exercises like OL I don’t need to know how fast they run a 40.

Certain players things don’t bother me either like Malik Willis not running the 40 yard dash we all know he can run. Cared more about him throwing which he participated in.

Then injuries happen get rare cases like Julio Jones who just a beast and killed it on a broken foot but then you have guys trying to gut through an injuries doing poorly and being ripped to shreds for it.

JJaw going to TE is interesting. Not sure it works but his best trait has always been blocking. For a WR not what you want but for a backup TE that is useful.

LOL yeah lets invest our first round 1 pick on a guy in recovery from injury, really a smart move 🤣. Yet you complain about Ojabo. Gotta love your double standards

You should watch Rosie’s new presser. He pretty much explains it right in that. He talks about drafting Sidney in the second. But then how different it was drafting Dickerson in the second. That Dickerson injury situation was much further along to get a solid evaluation about.

I'm not giving up a pick I may have to use for a QB next year.  A third this year, plus a late round pick is my limit.

Maybe someone might take a player, like Dillard. Here is a solid player at LT that most teams would love. Just because he could not beat our Maliata, does not mean he wouldn't be successful elsewhere. Carolina is desperate for a left tackle. Arizona could use one also.... Just a thought...

As i said before the 40, and any part of it is misleading.

How many times does a WR get into a sprinters stance in a game?  If i were a GM i'd rather see their times running from whatever stance they use in games.

Agree! Better yet, why don't they actually time a route? Do a deep cross or a 10 yard Out or Dig route? They could put up Cones for them to run thru to get comparison Times....

I also wonder why they time O-Linemen for 40 yard dash? When do you see a Tackle run 40 yards? LOL I could maybe make 10!

The have the game tape to evaluate. They even pull out top speeds from the film. I feel your distrust of the combine and Pro Days. Ridiculous how these guys opt out of bowl games so they can Combine train so hard now. Not football stuff…..Combine stuff. Like you said they have to train coming out if a sprinters stance. Even Lineman. Crazy! It might have worked better years ago. Now whole business’s are just Combine and Pro Day training.

The expectation going into the first round is that the Eagles won’t pick at their current slots (No. 15 and No. 18). At No. 15, they are likely to miss out on the blue-chip talent on defense, so there stands a strong possibility that Roseman looks to jump in the 10-13 range to nab an elite prospect at defensive tackle, defensive end, or defensive back. Having an extra third-round pick (No. 101) could help them accomplish said feat.

Also, with No. 18, the Eagles could then trade back into the 22-28 range to recoup a third-round pick from a team looking to jump the New Orleans Saints at No. 19. The Eagles want to have flexibility, quality, and quantity during draft weekend, and they are positioned to check all three boxes if they play their cards right.                          This works right into the Pittsburgh trade.

Pretty much what I’ve been thinking the plan was also there FL.

We have met /are interested alot in Pickens at WR. He is a round 2 who fell also due to injury, but if we're going to try an injured player I would rather use my 2 than my 1. he is a bigger WR at 200 pounds. I will see what works doing a trade with Pitts at 18,it's only a 2 spot move and they may need to go higher if that want their QB(if they want one at all) ,so it's getting messy now LOL

Yeah that shoots the Pitts trade though cause 18 may not be high enough for them, but maybe it plays that way IDK

If we move up with the 15(using the 101 pick),then we'd need to find a trade partner to move back. These 2 could be possibilities. I will have to see where they pick,or a Dillard trade WITHOUT a pick works for me lol

Round 1: No. 6

Round 4: No. 137 (from LAR via HOU)

Round 5: No. 144 (from JAX)

Round 5: No. 149

Round 6: No. 199 (from LV)

Round 7: No. 242 (from NE via MIA)                                    Carolina-nothing helpful here IMO

1st round: 23rd overall
2nd round: 55th overall
3rd round: 87th overall
6th round: 201th and 215th overall
7th round: 242nd, 256th, and 257th overall       AZ

Round 1: No. 20

Round 2: No. 52

Round 3: No. 84

Round 4: No. 138

Round 6: No. 208 (from KC)

Round 7: No. 225 (from NYJ)

Round 7: No. 241   Pitts.                 Just think if they move it won't be 2 spots, they would want our 15

"rumor" says we are stalling on talks with Honey badger because Howie thinks he can get Hamilton. I feel that's a dumb reason if it's true

Much better weapons. Watch what would happen to Hurts stats if we add Deebo. I would bet they jump.

100 percent.  He is the perfect WR for a QB who throws screens and slants.  If they were all in with Hurts would be great move.

The Eagles have never drafted a S in round 1 ....EVER.   50 years before Howie was born.    I don't see them trading up for a S.     I don't see them spending $$ on Honey badger either.

I absolutely think the goal for Howie is to receive more trade value..  pick wise...  in the combo of trading up from 15 and back from 18.    If we go 13 and 20.. or whatever,  his goal will be to get better swap of the return.   Your examples..  if we give up pick 101 to move up, if he gets better than 101 moving back...that is his victory.

Seattle needs an OT. Trade them our Pick #18 plus Dillard for their #9

Gives them a starting LT and another at 18. Works for me!

OK, so this means that the Eagles Will NEVER draft a S in the first round. EVER, right? Just want you to confirm that for me.

That’s Siri philosophy to a T from what I’ve ever heard from him. He always preached YAC well before he was building an offense for Hurts.
