Yeah,I was never a fan(as you know). Maybe this is a last chance try before we lose him. I know they love his blocking skills. IDK if he is tradable

Can’t imagine there could be trade value for JJAW. This thought from you made me laugh. I know you just want more picks….but trading JJAW…..you really stretching now. Can’t blame you for wanting to though.

Well a mere 7 days and we'll be swearing at Howie and throwing stuff at the TV.

Good times.

We all have all the grandest dreams of the possibilities come draft day. Think it’s almost a league wide thing for fans. Sometimes I even really get caught up and fall in love with certain players. Everybody here knows I’m opinionated🤣. The more set you get on drafting certain guys the more disappointing the draft becomes. So I’ve tried to lay back more and let it play out to see what happens. Believe this year it’s crucial because it will tell us so much about what our new coaches are thinking. This draft they will show their preferences so much by whom we draft. That’s what really interests me in this draft. What kind of players are they looking for? Everybody wants super athletic and versatile guys. But beyond those we will learn so much from this draft. I’m reading tons in to our scheme plans based on draft day.

I like my sleeper pick(so does Stine) Nick Cross, probably a round 3 pick. I know we have spent alot of time with Pitre, but he would be a round 2

So round 2 is a big mess IMO because either you take a WR in 1 or 2(I mean if you really want to help this team). Pickens would be a nice WR pick in 2,but I also know we like Pitre at S. So which 2 positions do you take in round 1? if you like Pitre in 2,then you need a round 1 WR. I'm gonna go off my norm here and agree with Stine, that Pickens in 2 would be the best option since we need so much help everywhere. Like Stingley,he is coming off an injury. If he wasn't injured he would be up with the top guys, and we DO still have Reagor if we wanted to take that risk

Not supremely confident if he had to take over

Driscoll has really impressed me. I’m a fan. My main hold up with him revolves around durability. I kind of don’t want him to win the RG starting job. I like having him as that first backup to come in all across the line. Very valuable.

"Stingley  he has met with the New York Giants and Jets in Indianapolis, among other franchises. He added that teams have not expressed any concerns to him about his foot injury.       This was at the combine,so seems like he is fine to me

I respect that. But then again….what guy is going to come out and say that any team had a major concern about his injury? That’s death and would immediately cause every GM to be leery. He would slide like no tomorrow. Next he’ll state how he’s the best corner in this draft. You maybe heard a few guys say things like that also. Does any player ever come out and say their third best?

IDK I want a G to play G not a T lol We have some G's and a new kid awosika(or something like that). He played some snaps

LOL he said NO TEAM even asked him about it.If they thought it was a risk, they would have asked about it? If there was concern he wouldn't be ranked top 12?

IDK you saw Ojabo fall and some WR's,so obviosuly there is concern there. he didn't fall

He did state that LOL

Anyway, there are a million different ways we can go with all the picks we have and all the needs we have. I think it's going to be a crazy first day

As I have said many times,Howie is very good at finding late gems(BU's but solid ones). His issues are finding the top rated talent. Everyone and their brother knew JJ was the pick(except you maybe-no offense). Passing on Metcalf? Ya gotta know who has the talent in rounds 1/2 or you will die on the vine

I just understood how old and slow we looked on both sides of the ball. Still think philosophically having two great TEs we needed something outside. Really think ARs O really needs that burner weapon. But it was a strong WR class. Sone of the top guys didn’t really turn out like many assumed. But I identified that there were several WR to choose from. So Jefferson proved to be the guy. So I’ll admit that I had my doubts about him and our need for him. But I still easily stand by that we could have traded back and still got a quality WR. Five really solid WR went later. That was my idea and plan. Add picks and still get a quality pass catcher. So my thoughts on that draft weren’t all bad. I included Reagor in the group of guys I thought we could trade back and get. That part not looking the best. Did think he was more developmental. He’s shown flashes of big talent still. No idea why he can’t reach his potential. He makes the incredible catch in practice but drops it in the big moment. Thought he was a return man and elusive. He really hasn’t been good creating YAC at all. That is surprising. But was trying to add a speedy pass catcher for years. Identified how lackluster the situation was well before that draft. And we’ll before that whole 2019 situation. Liked DJax and didn’t want him gone originally. But wasn’t a fan of bringing him back at the end. So I’ll let you hold onto Jefferson as your guy. But I have a very long track record of guys. So I’m fine with it. I also think I tend to see this stuff coming and identify it beforehand…..instead of after the fact hindsight.

Baloney. Like Joe said he hasn't taken a LB or CB first in history,so that "I'm open to anything" is BS"

He’s had his opinions. And he definitely had the mindset against those positions high. Along with RB. Sone of it was based on our D we played. If our DC was a 3-4 type with the LB having totally different responsibilities….I think things could have been different. But I also think he was right identifying that age of team building. Gotta come up with some kind of plan. But I don’t think he is totally stagnant. He’s always looking for those little things he can take advantage of. He believe lane he’s the smartest guy in the room always. But I agree and like the idea of not following the herd. Zig while everyone else zags. That’s how I would also do things. Right now the league has turned very specialist and finesse. So I like the idea of going old school and physical. Harder for teams to prepare for it. Think the Niners saw things the same as me and have been building that way. I see it as very effective. Injuries have been tough on them. Jimmy G hasn’t worked out. So the results have been less than I think can happen. They’ve had some moments but not what I think has been their potential. Really see us possibly building this way. I think it can work.

I’ve always thought the early guys were kind of lined up and you go with it. After that first fifty it’s up to scouting and evaluating. But I don’t know….he’s done sone very good moves and been terrible. But we gotta ride with it. We need him to kill it this draft. Had a good one last year. So putting two together would really launch us for some years. Of coarse if he blows it….we’ll be majorly set back. Nobody has given Rosie a harder time than me. I’ve been the one shredding him when it wasn’t in vogue because we won a SB. Much is on scouting though. Those guys gotta come through. I’d invest massively in that department. No cap and massive effect on the team.

Yes, he interests me also. Remember talking about him when I watched him this season. I think we both watched Cincy enough this year and noticed that S also. He could be a good sleeper. I’m at that point where everything’s been overthought now though. Depends who’s opinions you read and you could love or hate certain players. So I’m just going to kick back and let things unfold. Then I’ll really dive into the guys we pick and come up with my opinion. Want to get guys in this year to build with though. Not trying to push all the picks back to the future.

Seems like most fans seem to want to load up on next years draft. I’ve been leaving towards maybe using sone of next years picks toward getting the right guys this year.

He's not Pitts LOL. Not really a fan of position changes. I think they are trying to make him stick somehow

SO why then would you trade him and keep Driscoll as a BU when it's obvious Dillard is better? Gonna be a tough well after the draft ends

Because Dillard has value. I’m open to trading most anybody. I can trade a very good player if I get what I want in return. Plus Dillard contract is up. He only plays LT. Driscoll plays LT, RT, RG and LG. Versatility is great. Driscoll looks very good too. And we can keep him around. Plus I don’t see Driscoll being appreciated league wide enough to give me a return. I get that you’d like to trade Reagor and JJAW and other bad players. But who wants them? What’s that get us?  I’m thinking nothing. Sometimes you gotta trade something to get something.

BG and others love to shred me because I care about the whole 53 makeup

No don’t shred you for the whole 53 makeup shred you for acting like player 53 is some type of star.

Ie the DT Hester and now Greg Ward these just are not guys you should want on the roster we should want better

Texans GM coming straight out and said most teams seem set in their plans. That many only want to trade back. That he doesn’t think anybody is interested in the 3 pick. But the 13 he said is totally different. This really effects us obviously sitting at 15.

Dang Texans are terrible. They just want picks. Think they are ruining our trade value at 15. They’ll give up 13 cheaper.

Nope, not when you face the obvious. Just to "do things differently" means your ego is in the way of informed decisions. If there is a draft steal at a position of need and I pass that up for a punter that can kick 80 yards, that is a BAD decision made just because "I'm the smartest guy in the room",so I disagree

Is it bad scouting or the fact Howie won't listen to them????

LOL which team doesn't want more picks?

Maybe we trade up from 15 to 13 and give them a late pick? Depends WHO we want and if they fall
