Thinking Williams will be there at 15. Can we move back sone and still get Wyatt or Karlaftis?

Depends who the trade partner is. I was toying with Davis at 15 and Watson(WR) at 28 with a GB trade(although IDK that we have shown any interest in him). Pitre at S(met with) in 2,Marcus Jones-CB at 83(met with), malone-edge at 101(met with). Since we have so many picks also looking at your boy Araiza as a late 5 snag

Thinking we move up a little from 15. Move back from 18 trading with Green Bay, our 18 for their 28 and 92. This would give them a shot at a decent WR and us an additional pick to fill one of the many holes we have

Not enough value for me....pick 92.  You gotta get the 2nd rounder next year...plus say a 4th this year.

Cards want to move up from 23 their GM stated. Steelers GM having his final draft. 20 could be interesting. He mentioned moving all the way up to 7.

FL the shown interest part is a smokescreen half the time.

Think they do have a bead on us taking Williams at 15 though. Makes a ton of sense. Don’t think he’s ideal for Hurts necessarily though. He’s a big play guy.

So what would that tell you about what they think of Hurts?   I think you are among the few that don't see them moving on from Hurts.... meaning they are pretty much already there, just not looking at this year's draft class as the answer.   This is also where the contract comes into play... if Hurts stays as the starter...it's either they pay him big $$ ( big relative to making twice as much if not more than anyone else on the team, not necessarily compared to other top QBs)   or he plays in a lame duck year for peanuts. Organization looks bad there.   It's a no win unless Hurts plays at a level that nobody can deny is at least very good.

I think it would help Hurts to actually have a decent WR room. Be more fair to judge him on. I also think it would be a very dangerous test for him. Having two WR known for busting through deep he would have to make that work. Not his strong suit. But if he did? Then he would majorly silence the critics who aren’t just dug in Hurts haters.

I don’t think drafting Williams is about Hurts. It’s about the draft board. He’s by far the best WR on the board left(if things fall like I expect and it seems many are thinking).

To risky for me in a rebuild year. If there is a set back or he doesn't come back 100% you whiffed again,so no not a "ton of sense" to me. I need my round 1 players to start, not HOPE they do

Where do you expect the WR's to go?

Hard for me NOT to go after Davis at 15(or move up a bit) He's is a positional freak and that's a guy I want on my team for the next decade. Maybe trade back and take Booth/Elam(who I think is a better fit) at CB,then  WR in 2. Metchie,Watson, Pickens,Moore come to mind. Nick Cross at S then

Right... if he could actually throw the ball... it's pretty much the job of the QB.    Hurts is the limo driver that keeps the car clean, stocks all the right food and drink, plays the best music....   just doesn't drive well.

Yes...please throw the ball well, it's what we all to see.  You can see that stuff that is paramount before all the other "intangibles "

So we won't be taking our first pick until 930 lol(unless we move up)

He's a great pitcher...but throwing strikes is not his strong suit.

Umm... it's a rebuild year right?   It's exactly the time you want the best long term prospects.  Because this year isn't the issue.   This year is for the fans who are all in on Hurts.  The WR we select needs to be there for th next guy

Welp if he can't play we won't find out anything more about Hurts than we already know and I would rather have that WR play so I/we can say "yeah we need to move on"

He throws the ball pretty well that I see. He needs to work on it still. All the haters ripped his accuracy on his first few games. Big improvement last year on that. But he’s never going to have a cannon arm. So that’s a drawback. Like every player has drawbacks. He checks soooo many boxes though. But I’m not going to BS and be like too deep threats is ideal for him at QB on the field most of the time. Still better than anything he’s had do far.

He can’t throw deep lasers and he isn’t real tall. Those are the things he has to overcome.

I’d say he misses TC. Shouldn’t miss too many games though. Definitely be ideal to be a part of every practice. Guy was the top looking receiver though. So he seems like the very likely pick for us. Not injured he wouldn’t even make it to 15.

But he’s full of top quality beer.

It’s being reported we have fewer than 15 players with first round grades.

Yeah... throwing is kinda important.  Good arm though for 1975.

So am I.

What's your point?  😃

You’re a first rounder for sure!
