We can start developing JJAW 2.0 three years from now. I’m so excited. Definitely carry me through the next three seasons just thinking of the windfall.

I think the excitement for this team ramps up when they draft the rookie QB next year.

Oh yeah….who’s that?

We had  Maddox rated as one of the top slot corners. Slay one if the best corners. So you can’t see how having one more corner could have helped keep top QBs from completing 80 percent of their passes?

Wow...  with those 2 All pros at CB... was a wonder QBs... the actual legit starters... had that much success?    Couldn't be that your boy Slay and Maddox get their rating vs all those scrub QBs?

I mean that's totally impossible to see?

So we give up all our future picks for a QB next draft? What could go wrong with that?

The rookie that they trade up for next year.  Whoever it is... similar to your excitement of getting rid of the last guy and you don't care the current guy cannot throw.   The fanbase will be excited to replace the current guy.

Again... " All of"   you simply live in the extreme to try to make your points.   Bad time of the month?

Yes, I forget his name, but he would post first every time and would be hilarious.

All I remember is that his avatar was a motorcycle. But yeah, almost always the 1st post and he would state as such lol

Weak soft defensive scheme. Lackluster pass rush. LB Wilson struggling. The only other Fa pickup Harris struggling. All because the team was strapped by all that baggage.

Yep all about Hurts never getting a legit shot. Took a completely strapped and handicapped team to the playoffs last year. Has a shot to win the division this year…..but let’s make sure we thwart him. Anything to keep Hurts down. Tons of dead cap. No FA pickups fir two straight years. Give away draft capital. But judge Hurts. Yep feels like the agenda. You must be happy!

It was the best...it eliminated all the conversation about " first"   was hard to follow the conversation the first few pages with all the BS mixed in about " first"  this guy killed it and we went right into football.

I will feel happy when the team gets a legit QB that can throw the ball at an NFL level.  Plus to me, I can't stand the read option for more than 3 or 4 times a game....it's a snoozefest.  I saw enough of that during Chip years.   I'm curious to see the route tree expanded and the offense run without being constricted to the college stuff.

I enjoy the chess match between the route tree and the coverage scheme.  We haven't had that here with one read and run.

Because that "extra first next year” was from our first this year. That’s an obvious delay.

A delay for a better quality QB I can live with. BTW after I thought about it alot, I understand the system you are talking about that we argued over. Still though 32 players are round 1 picks, but I understand what you meant now

Thought we had plenty if that….then Reagor drops the pass.

Yeah... Reagor dropped 30 passes a game.

Think you guys are just living in the grass is always greener in the future mode. Doubt we are in a better range for an elite drafting of a QB next year. If anything we do like the SB champs the last two years have done and trade for the vet.

https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Tyrion-Davis-Price-RB-LSU   maybe our round 7 pick. Decent pass blocker which we seem to covet

Anyway I like this kid with the 7th pick. 1003 yards last year(so why is he going so late?) It seems his biggest drawback is he's not adept at run blocking, but he IS at pass blocking, which it seems to me is something we would like. 6'1 is a bit big but 248 would put him in the "basher"/GL/3rd and 1 category category which also seems to me something we would like to have after Howard and a 7th pick doesn't hurt if he doesn't pan out,but I like the value here. Definitely a kid who needs more polish and coaching, but for a 7th flier I would call his name

2 round 1 picks make it easier to move than 1. Normally next year if we only had a 1 we would probably have to give out the following years 1 to move,Howie just did that a year earlier so we have the 2 round 1's ready to go. Young(bama) and Stroud(OSU) are the 2 to keep your eyes on. sure others will creep into the discussion

No Mas why not just draft Strong in the third this year? He has a huge arm.

Grading Scale

10: Generational talent/No. 1 overall

9.5-9.9: Top-five prospect

9.0-9.4: Top-10 prospect

8.5-8.9: Immediate impact prospect/First round

8.0-8.4: Year 1 starter/Late first to second Round

7.5-7.9: Potential impact player/Second round

7.0-7.4: High-level backup/Potential starter/Third round

6.5-6.9: Potential role player/Fourth round

6.0-6.4: High-level developmental prospect/Fifth round

5.5-5.9: Backup/Draftable/Sixth or seventh round

5.0-5.4: Backup/Undrafted free agent with roster potential       I assume Ham this is the scale you meant?

We could, nothing stopping Howie, but I think you then do to Hurts what we did to Wentz. When you draft a guy with potential who has not accepted his #2 role, you are asking for trouble(again)

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2955009-br-nfl-scouting-depts-final-2022-nfl-draft-big-board    So if we have them rated/ranked? the same, then If i want a top WR,I move UP from 15 to 10(Jets) for Olave, then I move BACK from 18 to 25 (Buffalo) and snag Wyatt, who is a tech 3,which is what we play now

If I want Davis,I move up, then trade back the 18 to 34 in round 2(plus whatever else we can get) and take Pickens, who we also like. So that seems to me to be the choices Howie needs to make Olave/Wyatt or Davis/Pickens. I think the bigger impact would be made with the first set although we would get more/higher additional picks with the second set

In the few one score games I foresee this season? Plenty. Things are tight in this league.

I'm assuming an 8-9 win season again. The lame teams we faced last year won't be working parking lot QB's or have all the missing pieces they had last year. So my expectation is 8-9 wins vs better teams. if we do that, then we having a foundation in place and the rebuild is working

How often do we get 10 picks in a draft with 2 round 1's??? Would be nice every year, but that's not reality(although Howie made that a reality next year also with 2 more round 1's)

Yeah….there you go. That’s all I was trying to explain. What you were saying wasn’t wrong….just a totally different subject.
