Wins and losses aren't a great indicator I will give you that because a number of factors determine the outcome of a game and not just the QB. But I can instantly think of a few games where if Wentz would have even played half decent football then we would very likely have won.

Yeah, usually you can say that with QBs... because one or two plays out of 70 stand out more so than anyone else ... they have the ball in their hands every play.

BTW this is why TB lost Winston.Brady much more consistent and the team overall looks much better with him in

???????   Really, ... so are you boycotting football or actually watching the games?  Where has Tampa looked better?   Running the ball maybe.

Dude.. the Giants are awful and just lost Barkley for the season.... why wasn't any other team interested in Freeman?   Come on now.

This is a good podcast and they raised some interesting points.

The main takeaways for me were that Hargrave and Barnett weren't really ready (which was obvious) and that Vinny being out really hurt them, since he is their best run defending DE.

They also said that teams now have a blueprint for beating the Eagles, which is a lot of pre-snap movement and misdirection to confuse the linebackers and safeties to take advantage of them in man coverage. They expect the Bengals to do the same thing against us, since their coach is connected to McVay.

More consistent, not all over the map like winston

He's more consistent.Say what you want but I watched TB for many years.I never said Brady was infallible, but he offers them the consistency to build off of not the sporadic play of Winston

I don't know that they weren't neither do you.I don;t know what his contract demands were, neither do you,or if he turned teams down because he didn;t want to play there.I heard he was offered more money but chose NY,so obviously SOMEONE was knocking on the door

Saying Reagor has some UCL tear in his thumb....

Saying Reagor will miss time..

Burnett should be getting a call up might even come to active roster

Cox is day-to-day. Ford is out. I think that will lead to three open spots on the roster as Reagor and Ford will join Seumalo on short-term IR.

I would like to see those spots occupied by Burnett, Williams and McGill. I thought McGill played really well in week one, and if Cox is iffy he can be the fourth DT. My guess is that Arnold, who was protected, will be a call up on Sunday. They really like him, though I don't see a role for him right now. But I guess he can get some special teams snaps.

I would also like to see them call up Ostman. He can't be worse than Avery or Toohill. We may as well use Curry's injury as a time to get him some looks to see if anything is there.

I mean I’m shocked we don’t give Ostman a chance as well consistently one of our better practice guys... And he has what 3 years now in the system would expect him to better then a rookie right now and seems to have the build to be a more complete player then Avery

I’d pass on Arnold we doNot need 6 S I think it was a waste to start with

Reagor's injury does have one positive aspect in that it will allow us to peak into the future when we don't have Desean, which will either be later this season due to injury or after this year due to the salary cap.

I think Burnett, Ward, JJAW and Hightower will all get an equal number of snaps. Hopefully someone grabs the #2 WR job and brings some clarity to the situation both for the next few weeks as well as for the future.

Oh fun. Back to JJaw, Burnett, and Ward as the top WRs. And this defense is bad.  They are not even fun to watch. They play on their heals and wait to get beat. I watched both Steeler games so far this year. They get AFTER IT!  They may get beat badly on some plays, but I guarantee you the offense of the other team will KNOW they were in a fight at the end of the game. The Eagles D?.... I think I got hit by a gnat or some bug might be what the opponent says at the end of the game vs the Eagles D.  I mean, besides Fletcher Cox, who stands out? The Eagles miss Bradham and Malcolm Jenkins. You won't convince me otherwise....at least from watching and re-watching these first two games. Freaking sad!  Barnett? C'mon dude!  Step it up! You've been here long enough to show more. Let's go!  And if you say that Slay is awesome....well ok, the opponent will just continually destroy Maddox. I personally liked Sidney Jones better, but he couldn't stay healthy. Douglas was too slow, but he battled. Maddox is decent. No real complaints. But with no DL pressure, he is getting worked.  The LBs?  Do the Eagles even have any? I mean, c'mon!  Painful.

I preach how important the OLine is. Yikes! Injuries are killers.  BUT, if you watched all of the games played so far in the NFL (I have....NFL Shortcuts...coolest thing ever), the refs are NOT calling Offensive holding hardly at all!  I think someone has said that without training camps, we need to keep the QBs safe.....so let the O line hold.  They are letting them hold. So freaking hold!  Watch someone change it this week and there be a million holding calls. Haha.

And I still hate Dallas so much!

We need clarity, this team is a muddled mess

Yeah,I see noone stepping up. Going through the motions to get a paycheck(except for Sanders). No fire,no drive. The bland pedestrian play calling which we have problems executing. IDK,as a fan I am disgusted and it's only been 2 weeks. Reagor is here to stretch the field,so even if he gets no targets, put his rear out there. We have 2 speed guys and we still dunk and dunk. Why do we have them???

Djax is still healthy lol Alshon should be back soon as well as long as we keep him

Week 2 was brutal for ton of teams SF maybe got hit the hardest

Not sure that is fair thought the OL guys stepped up really had a fire under them after week 1.... JP Kelce vastly stepped up.... Herbig game went next level... Lane can’t fault played well though.... Pryor came in played well. Semaulo didn’t hear bad from him week 1 or 2 honestly so going to chalk him up as fine unfortunately got hurt

Only issue here is Doug and Wentz and co. Rallied back from 21-3 and got in position to take the lead before bonehead Wentz made a terrible decision throw in double coverage to JJaw that got picked off. So wasn’t all bland and terrible but we need to put together complete games (seems to be a common trend that hasn’t been fixed yet)

This team is looking straight at a major a rebuild.  It's a shame injuries robbed us of what should have been one more deep playoff run, but that's over now.

I'm just pissed we are 0-2 lol. It comes out in various forms and rashly worded barbs and innuendo lol. "Reagor was the piece we needed to win".Not seeing it.He's a rook, but you don't lose speed by turning pro,so why can;t Wentz take his drop and wing it since we have 2 speed guys?.Teams through week 2 play us for 15 yards and in and they are successful doing it because we rarely launch one

Yeah and we have less than stellar lines,so I understand Ped has to do a KISS game plan(Keep It Simple Stupid).I really haven't seen Wentz mature as far as decision making goes.He is still making rook mistakes that should have been corrected.Sanders got 131(I think) rushing yards vs the Rams.So that is a bright spot, but otherwise as jsb said,we lack clarity and it's everywhere and a massive issue for me

We had a chance to start the pipelines after the SB(fail).Players would actually come here for LESS just to play for us,and we screwed that all up.IDK why our conditioning staff is always one of the worst in the league. If we can't keep our money players and top draft picks on the field,we are spinning our wheels in a mud hole

No one can really explain what's going on with Wentz. Can't blame play calling on all of his overthrows and forcing balls where they DON'T fit. He simply has not played well. Here's hoping he can get back on track....STARTING NOW!

I watched the Browns Bengals game for some insight into what we can expect and here's some thoughts.

On offense, they are pretty vanilla. They run some read option, but not nearly as much misdirection or motion as we saw last week. Burrow is a legit QB. He will generally go with his first read and then straight to a check down or take off. He has some decent mobility. Expect a lot of Mixon runs and Mixon catches. AJ Green is our Alshon Jeffery. He was thrown at 13 times last week and caught three balls, so he isn't what he used to be. Tyler Boyd is their primary weapon. I expect Slay to see a lot of him.

Uzomah being out helps us. It seems like if we can stop the run we should be okay on defense. But Burrow is a legit QB, so if we aren't solid in coverage, he will make throws against us.

On defense, the Browns looked a lot like the Rams did against us, with a ton of rollouts and misdirection, which the Bengals struggled with. Their linebackers looked a lot like ours, which isn't a compliment.

I don't see a lot of talent on the defense, especially with Atkins unlikely to play. Their secondary is decent I guess, but this is a far different defense than one featuring Donald, Ramsey and Brockers.

In horseracing, if you fail to make money a few times in a row, you get to drop down in class. And this feels like what we are doing. Hopefully we don't spit the bit again.
