Hardly call him an injury risk has played in 43/49 games

Also pretty sure one of those 6 games he sat out because it was week 17 and his team clinched the playoffs

a bit over 1k yards other years, not like he put up 1500 yards. Smith wasn't far off from that  bit over 1k at 900+,so any top WR draft pick would have put Smith over 1k also and could have been done CHEAP. So whatever. I feel we spent money we didnt need to and gave up draft capital besides

Smith vs brown is only a 100 yard difference(roughly)

Yep a 100, mil injury risk. I guess we will see

You see why I don't like all this falling in love with the draft prospects.   How many WRs went off the board before we picked....and then we make the move for a top WR and there are complaints because it's not a guy from THIS draft?    OMG we gave up picks in the 160s...but it was this draft so it hurts...lol.

Just look at the overall moves... rookie DL you wanted and WR was addressed.   Still a pick in each round tomorrow.    And still picks to move up " if necessary " next year.   Look at the overall picture... I  know it's hard for you because you are all in each year with the current draft

only a 100 yard(roughly) difference between Smith(as a ROOKIE) and Brown(in his good years),thats worth 25 million a year? Not in my book it's not. Sorry

But you need to take into consideration the coverage...and the attention the player brings.   Stats don't tell the story...just like when Hurts dumps it off and the receiver runs 30 yards... it works both ways.   Brown will make it easier for Smith.  It's the overall picture, not just the individual players.

LOL Olave/Burks would draw the same coverage Joe,please and save 25 mil a year and draft picks. it's not that I am in love with draft picks, but I am in love with common sense and this isn't that

You do realize AJ Brown played on the run heaviest team in the nfl the last 3 years right???

Putting over 1k yards when the offense is hand it to Henry 30+ times a game is impressive

Was Olave available at 18...  or 15 ... or 13?    You can only make the moves that are available.   Rookies need to prove it in this league..  we got one who is already proven.

Yeah but Joe Montana throwing him the ball makes it easier for him too.

Burks was Tenn took him, we got fleeced IMO. Burks would have drawn the same coverage as Brown will. CHEAP and no loss of picks

Yep... and you will like guys tomorrow better than proven studs at the same position. Guaranteed

Tell me who do you like tomorrow ?

You can bash me all you want, but it was a stupid move IMO,to pay for what you could have had basically free,so he better put up 1500 yards or it was not worth it

Admit I had knee jerk reactions regarding Brown and spending picks, but it's why you stockpile picks - to make these moves. WR is now taken care of. As for the money, we would have had to spend it elsewhere that wouldn't have been taken care of in the draft. Not all our holes will be plugged, they hardly ever are on any team.

CB/S needs addressed

WHY? Drafting Burks would have worked fine and a CB and S tomorrow and we saved 25 million a year and had more picks

Yes...tell me who you like there...guaranteed if we traded pick 52 and took a borderine pro bowl guy at that spot...you would hate it because the guy in THIS draft is better.

We don't have the money now Joe we spent it on Brown lol,so that point is moot at best and you are rationalizing a BAD decision IMO

So 25 million for 100 yards/year makes sense to you guys. Sorry,I disagree

Just answer who you would take tomorrow...humor me from one Hurts fan to another.  Who do you like at CB tomorrow?

His cap hit is probably not even in the top 10 of WRs I’d go as far as to say his cap hit will be less this year then Smith on his 5th year option in couple years

I already posted that with 2 options. Tell me Joe what "near pro bowler" can we get for a round 2 pick since you must know already

I'm happy though, everyone is satisfied with paying 25 milllion for 100 more yards a year. I personally don't like it

Who are your options...humor me because I'm not going to go through all the posts....who you like in round 2?

I like Pitre or Brisker at S(at 51) CB would have to wait until 83

McCreary at CB if we did that at 51(he may be gone by then)
