Sanders is I'm final year of contract.

For me, like Ham already assumes all QBs can throw....I assume all RBs can run through a hole.  I'm looking for the aspects that would make me want to pay him.

1. Can he stay healthy enough to carry the load?

2. Does he offer anything special in route running or good hands

3.  Can he pass block.

For me Sanders doesn't bring any of those. I would think he has value because a couple teams might think he is all that.   My guess is we let him play out this year and then he gets paid by another team next year.

Personally,I like the committee approach.  Seems to work better for Superbowl winning teams since say... Terrell Davis like 25 years ago.  I like Sanders as one of 3 guys, but nothing special IMO.  We didn't lose a beat with him out last year.   But he may have value, same with Dillard...Reagor I would think has no value, so we keep him and see what happens.

Makes sense,thanks

How do you feel about Barnett. I was never a fan,he is ok not the star we wanted, but he seems serviceable, stay or go?

Signed him to one year deal... he wouldn't get traded until camp or trade deadline...not now.

If we traded a player for a 4th or 5th, I'd use that to move up in the 2nd or 3rd. I remember Casserly and others saying the odds of a players' impact in the NFL drop by 15% / rd. Sure there are outliers but this stuck with me.

yeah depends on the player. A 4th could still be helpful(still good RB's in 4) a 5th I would avoid if I could or as you say use it to move up a few spots

Ok but do you feel that will happen? I understand it depends on the trade, but IDK who we could trade for that would help us more than him being here

If I recall there were ZERO RB's taken in round 1?(SORRY FOR THE BOLD lol)

No RB's in rd 1.

I know...you are locked in with this draft. If we were to deal these guys...I would prefer picks in 2023 or 2024.  I need the max ammo to move up for QB next year.   Or if Hurts is the guy, I want those picks to build from.   Usually the delay of the year, raises the value of the pick by a round.

While it's great to get pick 130... ok looking at a day 2 pick next draft having way more value to the current Eagles.   Unless maybe that pick is the punter guy....lol.

I am interested in Davis -Price,the RB from LSU. I think that is severe value

I thing Shew is the better passer,so actually not worried if Hurts goes down, but I see your point about next year

But don't think it would be smart to take one tonight either, at least for us. Agree rd 5 or beyond, there's nothing wrong w/ our RB room as it is, so don't create a problem unless we're getting a good return

Oh you want a player from another team?   Idk about that,  I'm more focused on the picks.   Like I said from the start... free agency or trades, only ones I look at are for younger guys we can build with, not " who can help us now"   Barnett is a now piece with one year,  so if we move him,to me it would be for draft position in the future. Otherwise it would be for some flyer backup or something.

Hurts going down is absolutely the worst case scenario.   Then that's an excuse for him.   We need him healthy and either succeeding or failing.

Sorry if it puts your boy Shew out to dry..but it's all about the team as a whole.

I'm looking at round 7 Davis -Price. I know some say round 7 means nothing(and indeed it may) but I think thats a great value. he is the basher type RB

Yeah I understand that, but Hurts has taken lots of chances before, that's why I hope he evolved into more of a pocket passer

RB is a thankless position now. They take a beating.  Better to have late picks and UDFAs that are hungry and willing to do the dirty work than anyone who thinks he is entitled.    Give me a guy who is just happy to block and share the load...3 guys like that is perfect.

yeah I know, but if someone goes down in camp, because that happens, we could trade players

Price is not a great blocker, but at pick 237 he can bash for 2 yards/GL and he is expendable lol

Right...but we can focus on that later. For now....Dillard and Sanders are really the only " possible " guys I see us trading.   And those odds are less than half, probably way less.

IDk in a way I would like to see Shew in a string of games, not just ONE. Maybe he is better than we think? I guess we will never know. Shew would also have to be considered trade bait mfor a team with no real BU

OK thanks,I am learning which is a good thing

If Hurts isn't making it thru let's say 10 games my decision would be made, then I'd throw Shew in there and see how he does then make the decision for next yr

I'm doubting Brown gets 1200 yards, thats my point. A bit over 1k yards when Smith put up only 100 yards less as a rookie

Smith was a top pick Heisman winner. I don’t feel nearly as comfortable about anybody in this draft class as him. So not sure where your comparison is coming from.

Anyway he is my annual sleeper RB pick. He is shown blocking and he did ok,so IDK,I would take a 7th flier NP

I'm not going back to rehash this AGAIN

Good money can be made as a BU with minimal effort. I would keep Shew around, but that would not affect me going QB hunting. Shew has accpeted his BU role,I doubt Hurts would do that

I like the idea of DB and LB tomorrow...  those guys are usually your best ST players ...which absolutely helps your team.

So let's look at the 2 big moves... first draft pick and the big FA signing.   Does that give off a little 3-4 flavor??? Davis as a NT and Riddick as the pass rusher OLB?

This is what interests me the most about this draft…give us a bit of a glimpse into Gannon’s mind and plans.

Anyway Davis -Price is my sleeper RB. I think he would do very well in this offense

I'm going DB and edge today

I like this kid alot. Very under rated IMO. Down BIG to FL,he got them back into the game and chewed them a new one. Beat up on the Bama O line as well

He plays in a good league too.I have no clue why he is rated so low. Watch the short vid,he can catch too. Perfect fit for our offense
