WR screens don’t really require dominant OL need WRs that can block DBs though which we don’t have

Depends on the screen.usually is a flair to the right, which requires a dominant O line on that side yes?.if you're passing out to the sideline flat, maybe you don't need it,but that;s not what we usually do on a screen

We throw lot of screens that require the WRs to block literally usually need WRs to block 1-2 DBs and play could break for 10 plus yards just doesn’t happen...

Sometimes yea nice to see OL down the field to open up bigger gains but biggest issue right now with our WR screens is lack of WRs that can block

So to add to the "dumassery" and knowing this division is lame, how long do you let Wentz look like a 3rd stringer? How many more games can we afford to lose because of poor QB play. Like Wentz, but he has digressed

Most screens I see are behind the RG,RT,TE

Next draft, I want Micah Parsons. We need to break the stupid tradition of NOT taking a LB.This kid is a difference maker on D(and a homer too)

What WR screens are behind the OL lol what WR screens are you watching RB screen sure but we do bubble screens and screens to the sideline a ton might seem Lane or Peters get out in space but starts with the other WRs opening up enough room for the WRs to spring free from the LoS

BTW,I told y'all we needed to take JJ(lol).Reagor is a 1 trick pony.I hope they can bring him along QUICKLY.JJ already making an impact in Minnesota

Most screens are RB screens? Who else do you screen to without Goedert? And if you are doing a WR screen you still need the O line?Since, you know the guy that blocks, is now the receiver lol

Laurie won’t do it but 100%if this team keeps trending downward I’d fire howie and Doug at years end.

We have had a stagnant O since Reich left and Doug and Co. don’t seem to be fixing things

No more bronze standard as joe likes to say

I know I’ve been lashing out to fire Press. But I don’t just don’t think it’s a season to really fully judge these guys harshly enough to fire many. Unique and messed up offseason.

There is too much blame to go around.I don't think there is ONE or 2 issues,I think we have a team wide issue.Wentz looks awful, the play calling is bland and we aren't executing the simple plays.Add to that all our :stars" are riding pine(again),so my first move is to fire the conditioning staff and get a new crew in here-ALL of them

We have no consistency moving players around, like tossing crap on a wall to see what sticks. Thats not a recipe for success.Too many injured players, which seems to be an annual event now. Changing personnel is going to disrupt Wentz's timing.Put someone in and say "this is your job" and let them struggle and get better.Wentz can adjust if he gets used to the players around him.All these changes just make things worse

I'm out

I was surprised by this.

I thought Maddox played poorly, but apparently not. NRC grading well also surprised me. Maddox will miss some time so we will see if Williams has anything left in the tank.

The bottom line is that we should be much better in coverage. I think getting Gerry off the field will help as he always seems to be around guys making catches in the middle. Singleton can't be any worse at this point.

Strap was somewhat outclassed by Boyd on some routes, but I still think he should be starting. He's much better against the run and can handle bigger guys.

Mmmmmm sorry every team is dealing with this and Doug and Co. have been here now for 4 years no excuses

What are you talking about have you never seen a WR screen before lol.... And I stated from the start WR SCREENS!!!! Which we do quite a bit and the lack of blocking from the other WRs

I said that seemed overly generous

I know you did bud... Not sure overly generous quite covers it enough though. #24 is almost impossible at this point.

We have Scags and Marty. But the issue seems more to revolve around Press being buddy buddy with Wentz. Carson looks awful.

I'm thinking either the same, Wentz is in a rut or just pressing too hard.

I don't see the point in playing Rodgers very much.

I'm thinkin' Rodgers could help with holes for Sanders

Rodgers is a big ST also...so he brings something to the table even if it’s only a dozen offensive snaps. But yes...for his blocking mostly.

LB should we consider bringing Nigel Bradham back cheap???? He is available could easily plug and play. Could look at young guys first but pairing them with an experienced guy could be best

YES!

Blame the coaches all you want, but they did NOT throw those bad interceptions. Go back and watch all of them...there are plenty already.  Horrible throw to Hightower vs the Skins before the half with a big lead. Throw it to the outside where your guy or NOBODY gets it. Same with the last one to Ertz yesterday. It is a timing pass with one on one coverage, but no excuse leaving it inside.

Oh my heck Mahomes is awesome. KC, take whomever you want. I just want Mahomes. Unbelievable! Bomb on a DIME STEPPING BACKWARDS and took it in the chops! WOW!

Coaches should be correcting those mechanics though, Coaches should realize Wentz is struggling and adjust the game plan to lean on different players, Coaches should realize oh our OL(vs Washington) is bad maybe we shouldn’t do deep and long timing routes. Or Cincy is bad defending the run so run the damn ball...

Yea plenty to put on the coaches for these Ls

Even Joemas has to big AR some credit. Dialing up a pretty awesome game plan tonight.

BG, you need to go back and watch the Washington game again. There were routes for Wentz to throw to with a bad OLine. Wentz chose NOT to throw them. That is on the QB. I have been a huge supporter of Wentz. The guy playing this year must be his untalented twin. Bad decisions; very inaccurate throws; holding onto the ball too long, etc etc. Doug cant throw the ball for him, make the correct decision, etc etc.

Lmao come on he was playing the coaches gameplan I’m all for faulting players but this is also on the coaches.

Doug has not been doing Wentz any favor throwing the ball 40+ times a game for 3 weeks. Doug is not doing a great job scheme players open, Doug is not doing a great job along with the other coaches of correcting the same mistakes that have plagued this team for 3 weeks.

At some point and time it isn’t just on the players coaches are at fault as well
