Trevor Williams didn't practice today leaving the Eagles really thin at outside corner. It looks like either LeBlanc or Mills will have to play CB2, and if it's Mills then I guess Epps starts at SS, which may be an upgrade at both spots. Epps has played well this season in limited opportunities. He has a decent PFF rating, which I think is backed up by what I have seen on the all 22.

Now if we could only get Gerry to tweak a hamstring, we would be set.

We need a roster of 157.No wait, that would only put 120 in the Mash unit 🙄

This is a pretty good podcast.

A couple of interesting points. One, they said Mailata should be at LT, Peters at LG and Herbig at RG, and I agree 100 percent. That switch would make the run game a ton better, as Mailata and Peters together would be unstoppable, and Herbig and Lane work well together as well.

I think once you start pounding the ball, teams have to start loading the box and it opens things up for the passing game. Right now the running game is okay but we aren't dominating with Pryor in there.

Another point they made was that the play calling was much better in the first quarter when they were scripted than when Doug was calling them on the fly later on. They said there were some great plays early on that were abandoned for no reason, and that we became predictable. The play calling also failed to get wrs open on a lot of plays, and they should look to change things up.

On the linebackers, they said they are the worst in the NFL, but no change is planned. The team knows Gerry stinks, but apparently Singleton isn't considered to be any better and the rookies are running the scout team, so they aren't even practicing the team's defense. As they said, "Larry Bird isn't walking through that tunnel," so we have to live with what they have.

Oh good more moving players around. It's no wonder Wentz can't play,he has no consistency.Throws the timing off.Stop moving players around. Doesn't Wentz have the ability to audible??? Not that I want a rift between coach and QB,but HE is the one on the field

I’d love to see Doug give up play calling I understood he wanted it show his chops early on now I wish he would take over the big overall view. Think Press be good as a play caller think he is fine as a pass coordinator... Take away QB coach from him get in a guy that will really push Wentz

Ped can't open the playbook, because we cannot even execute the vanilla plays

Again don’t think the play calling is terrible plays are there to be made Wentz is missing throws biggest complaint is the pass heaviness... need to lean on the ground

Part of our failure,we are NOT getting to the QB's(we did vs Cincy because they suck).Parson's would fix that. He's also super fast for a LB,so again better coverage and blitzing. He can play successfully at Mike or Will depending on the D set.I know it's way early, but Parson's is my number 1 draft choice for us and at the rate we are going,we should be in a position to get him

I'm right there with you bud. Generational talent potentially and that's what this team needs.

We pass because we get behind lol

Which is valid but then doesn't excuse the Bungles game... They were behind but never that far behind and had plenty of time left for the most part.

This is not rocket science. Doug is in over his head and he is not using the other coaches like he did when Reich was here. He needs to rely on his assistants and just coach the in game crap. At this point we are playing for a draft pick. I like your choice GB...  Micah Parsons is what we need to light a fire under this defense. Plugs a huge hole and gives Swartz more options ......

I'm so sure the Eagles won't draft a linebacker in the 1st that if they do i'll run down Broad Street naked at high noon on the 4th of July

A nice look at the Giants Dline against the 9ers.

Some takeaways.

49ers don't look like they blitz a whole lot. There weren't many pass plays shown, but it seemed like they were content to let their front 4 get pressure. So we have to win there. With all their injuries, we should be okay, but Peters has to improve.

Kinlaw is a beast, and I am happy we are playing them without most of their other starters.

We can win in the run game. The Giants had a bad scheme and bad performance. We should be better in both.

We can't get predictable. The tape showed that the 49ers started crashing down on run plays that led to easy TOLs. We have to take advantage of their tendencies rather than them taking advantage of ours.

Carson will have time to throw. There should be a lot of plays where they can't generate a pass rush and he will have time. He has to make them pay.

Thomas for the Giants is going to struggle this year. His college tape showed he struggled to pick up stunts, and he struggled in this game. We should eat him alive when we play them.

SF game is simple really protect the ball that’s it.

We could have likely won every game this year if it was for the turnovers and dumb mistakes easier said to fix then done but just going on what I’ve seen

Washington we had a 17-O lead before we kept passing taking sacks and the turnovers giving Washington great field position

Rams we were driving to take the lead in the 3qtr before Wentz int derailed us killing momentum.

Cincy bad turnovers kept them in the game and stupid play calling and penalties forced the tie.

Steelers essentially getting a bye week now game with Titans being postponed for later in the year.

You know how much it sucks seeing Douglas flourish in Carolina I never hid how much I liked him

Let's not be hasty here,Freeman has had a week to acclimate. He's not THAT much worse than Bark.if we take them for granted we lose again

Come on now they not even on the same level.... Freeman is very good especially if healthy and should not be underestimated for sure. But Barkley completely different level.

Hightower, JJAW, Jeffery and DJax aren't practicing today. I think Ward and Watkins are the only two healthy receivers, which isn't ideal. I imagine that Burnett and Fulgham will be active Sunday.

Reports said Ward was the only healthy WR practicing today that was on the 53

So we have no WRs probably means we will throw the ball 60 times then bs SF because that seems to be Eagles logic

If in doubt... Keep doing the thing you can't do. I like it.

😊

#Eagles Carson Wentz has thrown at least 2 INTs in each game this season, he's completing under 60% of his passes, fumbled 3 times and despite throwing at least 40 passes each game has yet to have a 300-yard passing day despite playing in OT vs Cincy [his season high is 270].

But hey makes perfect sense to keep throwing it 40+ times a game

Ouch! See its things like this that really hit home how badly Wentz is playing.

What bothers me more then Wentz poor play is the coaches refusal to adjust....Wentz is in some type of funk coaches seem hell bent to have him throw his way out of it which I think is a mistake.
Wentz is at his worst when he is trying to force plays to make something happen instead think the coaches need to see that he lean on someone else ie Miles Sanders take pressure off Wentz

But he's still got to throw the ball. I mean yeah I agree they should run more but how much more? Sanders had 18 carries on Sunday I think and Wentz dropped back 47 times. I mean is a swing of 7 going to make a huge difference? 40 drop backs vs 25 runs? Do you go further and have 35 drop backs and 30 runs? But now you're putting a lot of wear and tear on your RB.
