I don't understand Schwartz and Flajole's hard on for Nate Gerry.  He has undoubtedly displayed the poorest level of football from the LB position that I have ever seen (in a defense that is supposed to be able to hide that position).  If they put Taylor in and he starts chasing butterflies around the field, he will still be in a better position to make plays than Gerry.

Yeah I don't understand it either. It seems pretty obvious to everyone else that Gerry is just nowhere near good enough to start. Hell he wouldn't even be a back up on most teams he'd be on the PS.

Sure it's possible, but we need to start making a move soon, and I fear we don't have the caliber of players on the field to do it. We have some 3rd and 4th stringers. There bis a reason they aren't starters,so we really can't expect them to play like starters. So,IDK it's frustration city for me again

It is possible of course because we are only heading in to week 4. I just don't see it at all. This team is not good enough in a lot of areas, too old in others and then also hurt. I don't see a turnaround because I don't think this team is good enough to turn things around.

Considering how weak the East is we are .5 game behind at 0-2-1... and honestly the biggest killer for team has been Wentz and his turnovers taking the East isn’t that far fetched as long as Wentz can get it corrected.

Now does that really mean anything no do I think we are a top competing team no

I see a lot of potential in the young receivers and Herbig is playing at starter level on the oline. I think Wentz will get better once he plays more with Hightower, Ward, Watkins and Reagor, who are clearly the future at WR (hopefully Watkins will be as good as Hightower.) The tape shows Hightower beating coverage consistently, so that's a great sign going forward.

The problem for the team is the back seven of the defense is a disaster, and we missed a chance to fix it by cutting players (Fort and Douglas) who are better than the guys we have, and drafting a QB and project in the second and third rounds this year when we could have grabbed more polished prospects who were ready to play. How different would this defense be with Fort and a draft pick at LB and Douglas and Chin in the secondary? We have made bad decision after bad decision on the defense, and it has killed us.

Plus, Schwartz won't even play the guys we drafted, so not only do we get bad play from Mills and Gerry, they aren't going to get any better, since they are who they are at this point.

Pretty good breakdown of how Edwards did on Sunday. Some good and some bad, but it clearly showed he is far better in zone than Gerry. I don't see how Schwartz can look at that tape and still put Gerry out there full time over him.

I’m less concerned for the D then I am the O... Fsct is right now the O is doing the D no favors going 3 and out giving short field position etc.

Washington again never scored until they were starting on there own side of the field

Rams was bad all around neither group was doing anything O and D. Though 3rd qtr got a stop and the O turned it over again when we were driving to take the lead

Cincy bad turnovers again cost us D was not great but gave the O plenty of chances to win that game.

Carson Wentz the turnovers still the biggest problem on this team until that is corrected we are doomed

My prayers go out to President Trump and his family after testing positive for Covid 19. My prayers for a speedy recovery as he reportedly experiences mild symptoms.god keep those other families safe. This is NOT what we need for our economy. Wear your mask, social distance, let's get rid of this virus. There should be NO More Doubt about this Killer Virus. .

I am buying what you're saying. This back to back years where we are facing 0-3/ 0-4 start.  Last year Peedy decided to keep the key players sidelined in the preseason we didn't start playing until 5 games into the season. That tie with Cincy is worse than a loss to me

.On the plus side Mialata might finally get on the field at LT. Hightower, Quez and Killins MIGHT get a chance to get that speed on the field.  Our 2nd rd pick Hurts actually gets integrated into our O and he is not left to waste on the sidelines. It's pretty obvious the ones the coaches have on the field are NOT getting the job done.

I agree 100 percent. With better qb play we are 3-0. But I think he will get better as he works with the young wrs and trusts his oline. Plus the playcalling should get better.

But we aren't going to be an elite team until we fix the back seven.

This isn’t an elite group.... We have an avg. DL which in Schwartz scheme is as bad as having a poor DL.... LB all around suck Edwards might be a slight upgrade to Gerry but clearly still a liability. I’d rather just go with growing rookie pains personally get him experience and reps.
S play honestly is the least of my concerns Mills changing positions with no off season not surprised he has struggled but getting Parks back should help.

Honestly state’s again would like to see Mills move back outside to CB when Parks is healthy. Parks starts at S and Maddox as the 3rd S

On O LT is a weak spot with Jason Peters no clue backup maybe Mailata gets a chance to show something

WRs are below avg. right now maybe the rookies develop enough toward seasons end song with a Alshon return will make them good enough

QB- Wentz issues are not just the targets he is throwing to he is missing throws high missing open WRs and making horrible decisions. That what is concerning right now guys are available this isn’t a case of no one getting open this is Wentz not seeing the guys open and when he does missing them.

No practice for Djax today. JJAW will be limited. From what Doug said in his press conference, I would expect Hightower to play Sunday.

Nope, don't see it either.I had predicted us at 5-11,but that was "assuming" we would beat Cincy. So a tie is better than a loss, but that was a game would should have won,so now I am down to 4-11-1.I'm banking us winning a few games when we get all our guys back.if that never happens, then we go the way of the creamsicle Bucs first season,or we can have an o-16 party like Cleveland. At some point the good players will give up.Not worth  busting your arse and risking injury for a 2,3,4 win season.Anyone trying to make good impression to get a better contract next rear is getting kicked in the groin

Yeah, since I have been on this board,I can easily say, even if we all disagree,we pick better players than the scouting staff. Who had MS2 picked in round 1? Anyone have a man crush on Jjaw in that draft? AG was a guy with potential, but if your draft pick needs a shrink to play, you picked the wrong guy.A few liked Dillard, the jury is still out there..Normally I like the players we pick up as UDFA's,but lets face facts those guys are long shots,WIP's or just plain scouted wrong.I'm all in on Parsons for us.We'd better stop the tradition of NOT taking a LB first and it would take being hit by a train multiple times to change my mind on him.I DID have us taking Hightower(and JJ).I hope Reagor pans out and is not Djax 2.0 where he plays 3 games a year.I DID like the Sanders pick.Even old guys get lucky once in awhile, but other than TE,we really seems to have development issues(thats assuming they can stay on the field). IDK how practices are set up,but it's obvious to me that ALL WR's need to get a shot practicing with Wentz.Right now his confidence is shaken(and rightfully so),so now we will see if he can back up those weekly words of "I need to do better".I just hope he doesn't decide NOT to throw because he becomes afraid to.He talks the talk,I wanna see with walk the walk because as fans we're tired of the same BS.This all proves the SB was a FLUKE.I'm glad we won one,but we are back to .500 in the a blink of an eye.I can also say the tie with Cincy was a WIN for their young QB and he should have gained alot of confidence vs us.After the SB I was hoping we started pipelines so our "vets" came from within(or mostly),but that never transpired and it's sad that after the SB players actually would take less to play here. That's all gone now.

Bottom line for me.The people I trust on this team are the TE coaching staff and scouts,Duce and his staff, maybe the ST staff and that's about it. Ped back to making rookie coaching mistakes as is Wentz.Howie is a wizard at contracts, but maybe he needs less of a say in the draft process. That's on Lurie.I feel changes need to be made if this team is going to ever get back to contention status. .500 is not good enough

Must be nice to make millions playing 2 games a year.Where do I sign up for this?.His constant injuries will turn off most teams from even picking him up AFTER we lose him.We are starting to look like Cleveland, where you would go to let your career die.I don't see us keeping Djax or Alshon.A few of the young guns show promise or at least the ability to be solid. We need to stop relying on JP and our defense is based on QB pressure which is not there which is destroying the lackluster secondary.Slay is only 1 guy,he can't do this alone lol. After taking Parsons in round 1,I would be fine with the next 2 picks being a DL and OL player.I would also like to know WHO will replace Kelce at C,and before y'll go off on me,there is NO CLEAR CUT GUY.There are "a few" that can play C and OG,but I want a guy whos sole job is at C.if we need to draft that guy,so be it.There are some nice ones next draft, if my O line choice is in 2 or 3(we have no round 4 at the moment),taking a top C would be fine by me.While I like to have a few players who are swiss army knives to fill in if needed,I am against 50% of our team  being that.I want "specialists" at every starting position not 5 guys that can play 3 spots

I don't know how people can say we can turn this around. Sure if we'd lost to SF, Baltimore and Pittsburgh then fine. But we lost and tied to 2 of the worst teams in the NFL.

Weren't we discussing why Freeman could hurt us?

Well we could at least stay in games if bonehead Wentz doesn't keep tossing picks

But that has nothing to do with our WRs lol and I never said he couldn’t either... I was discussing how he wasn’t on the same level as Barkley

What’s the point to just lose can pick a bust at 5 or 25....

How do you know that? He was effective in Atl(on level with Sanders),but he can' be in NY? I have no clue,he just got there.he can do the same amount of damage as Bark if he gets in the groove

What's to say we do bust? A bad season could lead to major changes.

If we get Parsons and he busts, then we may as well sell the team to Podunk
