I don't know how people can say we can turn this around. Sure if we'd lost to SF, Baltimore and Pittsburgh then fine. But we lost and tied to 2 of the worst teams in the NFL.

And if we beat SF and Pitt and compete with the Ravens everyone changes there view really we are at the qtr. season mark I’m just letting things play out what happens, happens....

If we turn it around great if not probably great as well means we should start purging older players Ertz, Djax, Graham, Malik etc. maybe not all of them but some

How do you know that? He was effective in Atl(on level with Sanders),but he can' be in NY? I have no clue,he just got there.he can do the same amount of damage as Bark if he gets in the groove

Lmao what your making no sense at all.... YES freeman can be good but to me he isn’t the same class as Barkley.... Like saying Freeman is as good as Zeke and Kamara, Caff guys I just put a tier above

What's to say we do bust? A bad season could lead to major changes.

Major changes have to be made regardless win or lose... Team a projected 40m over the cap for next year players have to go

We aren't turning this around. We've played 2 terrible teams and lost one and tied one. The only good team we have played is LA and we are about to play 2/3 teams better than them.

Sure yeah if we do somehow turn this around then people's views will change. The truth is, if they do turn this around its still an ageing roster than needs rebuilding.

Always seems we need to have "vets" here.Don't think we need them.We should be making our own vets, not going to FA to find them. " Old Vets" should be on the coaching staff, not on the field

Glad you have a crystal ball.I have no clue how he will turn out after 2 games.Once he gels he can be as good as Bark

We have a chance to beat the gnats, other than that it will take lots of luck.IMO this team is about as lifeless as they come.Individuals sometimes make plays, but I see no "team"

It has nothing to do with two games with the Giants lol.... Did you put Freeman in top tier class with ATL???? I never did thought he was a good RB I’m going by his body of work and what I’ve seen from him as a player. Just like when I say Barkley Zeke, Caff etc. are a tier above the rest

Agreed, but the young guys we drafted for the most part are AWOL in the MASH tent.not gonna build a team with crap guys who can't stay in the field.I miss the old days where teeth were missing and there was bloody players still playing

WHAT? It takes more than 2 games for a player to get used to things. You should know that much

IDK Atl didn't have to force feed him every play. They had WR's so who knows what he could have done getting 25 carries a game.

Did you see Freeman as top tier  in ATL???? I didn’t.

If I didn’t see him top tier in ATL why would I think he will magically be top tier in NY on a worse team????

Now that doesn’t mean I don’t think he can be good just not top tier like Barkley what are you not getting from this

Don’t need to be force feed to be seen as a top tier RB... I thought Westy had an elite stretch for 2-3 years before his body gave up we never force feed him as a runner.

Kamara was split carrying to start his career and seen him as elite as well also had a pretty good QB and a stud WR in Michael Thomas to compete with

See above. He was merely ONE weapon and they had a slew of them.Saints same thing. We have no WR's of consequence,we have to play Sanders, thats all we have lol.If Atl would have had iffy WR's and they gave him 25 carries a game,IDK if he would be in the top tier.I cant guess,I have no crystal ball

Lets wait until the year ends and compare Freemans stats from the bye on to Barks.I bet there isn't a major difference

Lmao you mean Barks that was hurt half way through the 2nd game must be a low par for Freeman to reach.... Doesn’t change nothing to me though Freeman isn’t special to me he isn’t top tier wasn’t in ATL not going to be in NY.

doesnt matter of a guy gets 18 touches or 25 touches what they do with those touches that matter that influences my opinion

OK let me ask you,do you consider LeVon Bell a stud? Fournette?

I said "AFTER" the bye>then we can compare the last 1/2 of this season to barks last 1/2 last season

SO I would be a stud if I had 2 carries for 30 yards per game?.Of course touches matter lol

Freeman 2015 337 touches

264 carries 1064 yards 4 yards per carry 11 tds

73 catches 578 yards 3 tds

Barkley 2018 352 touches

261 1307 yards 11 tds 5 yards a carry

91 catches  721 yards 4 tds

Biggest difference between the two Barkley on a terrible team and everyone knew he was getting the ball as you said Freeman had other weapons to ease the burden for teams to focus on.

So yea see Barkley top tier see Freeman very good those extra 15 touches really made a difference

386 yards in those 15 touches difference Freeman only needs to get those 25.7 yards per touch to matchup up

"Number one, you’ve got to go off the strength of your quarterback and then you build your plans around that,” Pederson said. "Obviously, the identity, you want to run the football, play-action pass, QB movements and then the screens, you’ve got to mix in the screens effectively in your system. You want to be physical upfront — that goes without saying — you want to be dominant there, control the line of scrimmage — all of that — and that’s where the run game comes in.”

Hahahahahha do we do any of this???? We want to run the ball really could have fooled me. QB movement I know that was in question not sure how much changed in the Cincy game though on moving the QB around. Play action can’t work if you don’t run.

Our screens apparently been pretty dreadful OL doesn’t seem to be doing a great job on RB screens and WRs can’t block for the WR screens

Whooooo two healthy WRs for the SF game probably 3 Hightower should be fine just an illness.... Hightower, Burnett, Ward guessing we call up the PS guy this week to have 4.

Not sure if Watkins will be a go or not have to make room on the roster if I believe... he is in the 21 day window but pretty sure he isn’t activated yet

Down to 3 CBs.... Williams out... Sounding like Leblanc will get the nod outside do have Mills who can move down

Be curious who we active this week from PS

Burnett is easy one of course with Butler recently signed could use him as a 4th WR. So the Oregon S/CB might be the 2nd call up

Scott and Huntley might be lining up as WR some vs SF with all our injuries

My prayers go out to President Trump and his family after testing positive for Covid 19. This is NOT what we need for our economy. Wear your mask, social distance, let's get rid of this virus. There should be NO More Doubt about this Killer Virus. .

I am buying what you're saying. This back to back years where we are facing 0-3/ 0-4 start.  Last year Peedy decided to keep the key players sidelined in the preseason we didn't start playing until 5 games into the season. That tie with Cincy is worse than a loss to me

.On the plus side Mialata might finally get on the field at LT. Hightower, Quez and Killins MIGHT get a chance to get that speed on the field.  Our 2nd rd pick Hurts actually gets integrated into our O and he is not left to waste on the sidelines. It's pretty obvious the ones the coaches have on the field are NOT getting the job done.

Agreed. If the Eagles are honest with themselves, they know they are not a final 4 type team. Why not see what the young guys got?  No preseason this year so ......

Some thoughts on the injury situation.

In the secondary, losing Maddox doesn't seem to be a huge deal, as it's really hard to make the argument that he is any better than Strap or NRC. Losing Slay would be a huge deal. Losing anyone else? I am not convinced that our starters are any better than the backups. As long as we have five guys to put out there, and as long as one of them is Slay, we should be fine. If anything. I am hoping Epps gets more snaps since he's been pretty good with one or two exceptions.

At WR, I am guessing we go with Ward, Hightower, Burnett, Watkins (?) and Fulgham (?). I think they will have five guys active which means two call ups from the PS. Burnett is the obvious choice. The other seems like Fulgham, who was a sixth round pick of the Lions last year who had a decent camp for the short time he was here. He played in three games for the Lions, so he has some NFL experience, though it is of the JJAW kind where he didn't do anything.

Marcus Green is the other possibility, and he's been with the team much longer. But they protected Fulgham and not him, so I guess he won't be the lucky one. He's a slot guy only, so it seems unlikely he breaks through here as we have tons of slot options.

I am not sure what they should do with JJAW at this point. It seems like he should maybe go on IR until he's 100 percent healthy and just let Burnett have his roster spot for the next three weeks. It seems likely we will get Jeffery and DJax back for the Steelers, so he won't be playing at that point anyway. And they probably need a roster spot for Burnett anyway since either DJax or Alshon or both are going to get hurt in that span anyway.

If nothing else, getting Hightower, Ward and hopefully Watkins reps with Carson is a good thing, and the offense should be okay due to all the injuries the 49ers are dealing with. I don't think Butler will play, but Rodgers will probably get a lot of snaps.

In some ways, due to all the injuries to both teams, this is like a preseason game. Should be great television.

We have to active Watkins to the 53 right now he is in the 21 day window I have not heard anything different yet but could missed it....  it sure we have an open roster spot yet for Watkins
