Yes, like a 3/4 defense.

Like to see the sets mixed up. Or game plan using 1 more than another. We have another easy schedule,we should be able to afford to experiment without giving games away(famous last words lol)

I will be interested to see if we do S blitzing more now that we have Tartt. He loves to hit people

Wonder how much they unleash Dean blitzing?

Hopefully more than they unleashed Quez last year

I think Quez had a real successful season. Really stepped up as a starter. Not seeing him as a high volume guy.

But I don’t see them featuring Dean blitzing

Noah Eliss had a non football injury and was waived. Making way to sign the Bucs DT.

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson will reportedly be calling it a career after five NFL seasons due to a neck injury. He is 27.

Eliss was the front runner for backup NT behind Davis. WR Hammond was also waived today.

I think Quez did really well developing, especially his ball skills.   Unleashing to me is a little overboard of a word... same with Dean.  Let's just let these young guys do their job and make some plays.

I'd like to see the passing game unleashed this year though.

Watching the divisional round playoff re-air of Rams versus Bucs. Stafford throws way behind Kupp right into the Bucs defender. Then chooses to try Van Jefferson matched up against the Bucs top CB. Even the SB winning QB made some huge mistakes. Like when Tartt droppped the easy interception of Stafford.

Reddick will be 7.

AJ is 11.

Expectations always good.

First things first. Although Dean is fast as all get out,he still has to learn NFL game speed and he will be facing alot tougher guys than he did in college. So let's not expect miracles the first few games. He needs to get comfy with his teammates, learn some tricks from the vets. I suspect like Mailata he will get stronger as the season progresses. I want him to learn everything, not skip over material because we are trying to get him to do too much too soon. Bring them along. It's another easy schedule, there is little need to force plays on him. Let's get him to where he is a sustainable NFL force that can wreak havoc for years to come. I suspect if he has a decent learning curve we will see him emerge midway through the season

Minshew living out of his converted prison bus, driving back and forth from Philly to Bonita Springs(which was 25 mins from where I used to live lol). All that worked with him off season say he is in the best shape of his life and he is not handing Hurts the job. So both guys have put the effort in this off season. Nice to know if Hurts goers down,we can still play ball

I'm high on him this season.

Such as having the defensive ends operate as a standing outside linebacker or having the free safety or strong safety approach the line of scrimmage before the snap of the ball to create even more pressure and confusion.

The 5-2 defense also allows for a blitz to come from just about anywhere on the field, and it’s very challenging for offensive linemen and even running backs to pick up this extra pressure with five down defensive linemen.       This really would play to Tartts strength IMO

Every defense has a weakness. This one is slants, crossing routes, seams, and any inside double move.

The more I read about this TE Jaedon Graham the more I like the signing

6'4", 250

Graham flashed at Falcons training camp in 2019 where an injury to Austin Hooper unleashed him as a "secret weapon.” Adnan Ikic of The Falcoholic detailed his journey and praised his work ethic. Here’s what he wrote about Graham:

The Yale graduate built on his good work last summer, and he showed out this year. The numbers won’t pop off the page, but Graham did everything asked of him in his role these past few weeks. He was a valuable safety net over the middle of the field for his QBs, an efficient blocker, showcased great hands, displayed good athleticism, and even proved versatile enough to play some fullback when Ricky Ortiz got hurt.

We signed Cameron Tom? C’mon man….pick a first name. Should be Tom Cameron. Just snap that dang balls so Kelce doesn’t have to labor himself too much in practices

Now that JJAW's Eagles' career is most likely coming to an end, I either forgot or didn't know that the choice of JJAW over DJ Metcalf was on Lurie, not Howie.

Bunch of teams are utilizing those guardian head cap things that cover the helmets with cushioning.
