??? We moved up with a 3rd?    We used that to get Brown.  Possibly you need glasses to see what happened?

How did we get DeVonta Smith? I thought we gave the Cowboys a third round pick, no?

Finally watched the Clrveland game yesterday.

The thing thaat sticks out is the quality of the WR room. There's gonna be some tough cuts there.

As much as i like Ward i suspect he'd gone.

I could see just keeping: Smitty, AJ, Pascal and Quez. That’s especially if you can trade Reagor. Then slap the others on the PS. Call up one guy a week.

The first game at Detroit is a concern.

I expect the Lions to be greatly improved

Auction draft this year;

Question for those of you who are familiar with this:

Following RB's are being kept by other teams:  Akers, Etienne, Dobbins, J Taylor, Jacobs, A Jones, D Henry, Ekeler and D Samuel (really a WR...

The winner of the past two years kept both Henry and ekeler but used up $120 of his total $200 to bid on his other players, so he is strapped. Who should I swing for?

Cook, McCaffery, Harris, Mixon, Swift, Fournette, Kamara, Bryce Hall, James Conner, Montgomery, Gibson, Dillion, or others...? I do have Singletary, but he is a tier two RB at best... Chubb is also available as is Hunt

Any ideas? I have $191 left to spend so should be able to spend $50-60 on one of them....

Comical,we had 2 first rounders. SO say we kept all 3.There were zero other "elite" (which we don't know yet) WR's in round 1?? Olave was there alone??? No other WR went in round 1??? We had out selection of any of the rest of them????? We could have done that, then Davis goes somewhere else and there is no reason then to make the Brown trade if your first pick is a WR???? If you consider Olave "elite" is Smith "elite" as well?? We have 2 firsts next year and we could trade up for Njinga? Although if the 2 we have perform why would you do that??? I think Howie did a great job Ham. So did all/any analysts,so they must all be wrong too. You wanted 4 players with 3 picks(not happening) Instead of 3+1 Howie gave you 2+2 and got Brown besides that. That is 5 players for 4(Brown plus 2 round 1's this year and 2 round 1's next year) and the fact you fail to understand this is sadly amazing

Drake London went 8. Wilson went 10. Saints traded up for Olave at 11. Williamson went at 12. That’s a draft position run if I’ve ever seen one. Dotson and Burks also went in the first round. Completely different tier WR in my draft big board thinking.

I would switch Saints and Panthers Records.... No Kamara for a good part of the season. So a top 10 pick next year, which is a good thing.

First thing I think of is how are the Seahawks getting five wins?

So, which Rookie WR out produces A J Brown this year? If your answer is no one, than I fail to see your logic we screwed up trading those picks. We got Davis, Probably the Best DT in a long time. We got A J Brown, a proven #1 WR with Pro Bowl status. We have 2 #1 picks next year and an additional #2 pick in 2024. I cannot see how anyone does not like those results! Add in Dean and Jurgens and it looks like one of the best drafts HR had in a long long time, maybe ever....

I’m fine with the picks we made really. I just wouldn’t trade a one this year for the one next year with a two in twenty twenty four. I’d take the S. With thoughts of pass rushers because a couple slipped by. So my thoughts were to actually trade back with one of our first rounders and take Dax.

I like WR Pickens….but don’t think you put him in that top tier going into the draft.

Cuts

RB DeAndre Torrey

WR Keric Wheatfall

WR Lance Lenoir

OL William Dunkle

OT Jarrid Williams

LB Ali Fayad

DB Jimmy Moreland

DB Jared Mayden

CB Josh Blackwell

Also saw Vegas has us favored by 4 over Detroit

And you also forget we got a 3rd round pick this year which allowed us to keep the pick used for Dean.   Otherwise it would have been thrown in to get AJ Brown.

That part could be true. I’d think we trade up to acquire Dean at that point anyway though.

Sometimes I almost wonder if guys get cut early to throw them in the huge wash at a time teams are cutting players….going to need to cut more in a week.

Mayden you would think would be the big name. Fayad very much interests me. Not surprised if they consider him very developmental.

Again....stick to the subject...  using the 3rd #1 pick.... or having Dean, a #1 next year and a #2 in 2024.    The 3rd round pick was essential in getting AJ Brown.  Without the Saints trade, which included that 3rd rounder, we would have had to trade the pick used for Dean.

Why is it a hard concept to get?   It's fact. That's what was traded for that 3rd 1st round pick.

Dude... it's not " could be"  it's what happened.   Lol.  Wtf with this.

Tomorrow could be Wednesday I guess???

The first week is such a crap shoot!

We cannot assess every position in one year. We got DL help, DB help, Wr help, future starting C and LB's. I really think you are nick picking to be honest. They did pick up the safety from SF, so they did get help, just not the help you were looking for. We will need to see what happens with Hurts first. Then we will either grab a QB or address more positions in the next draft. I think we are sitting good at this point. If Hurts makes a major step in the passing game, we will probably be a contender for league finals at a minimum in 2023.

I don't get the complaints about the Saints trade and NOT understanding all the picks included in the trade?

We moved up from 19 to 18...advantage us

We traded a 6th for a 3rd, advantage us

We got a 2nd round pick, advantage us.

This was for swapping 2022 for 2023 pick.   Why is it hard to understand?

If you do this every year from now on... you end up with and extra 2nd and 3rd round pick every year, as you keep swapping your 2nd first round pick for next year's.     Why would you want to stop that?  Is this guy Dax worth that?

And how were we going to trade up for Dean?   He was selected at 87.  If we traded that pick ( because we didn't have pick 99 from the Saints)  and all the 4th round picks were used to move up for Davis...  what were we going to use to trade up?

Not understanding the WHOLE picture and just complaining on and on and on and on and on....    and on and on and on and on.   Clueless!

So Ham is saying....  Davis, Brown, Dax, Jurgens... and then nothing else til the late rounds.    Without getting 2023 1st, 2024 2nd.

Vs

Davis, Brown, Jurgens... AND Dean... with a 2023 1st and 2024 2nd.

Ham is saying Dax is worth Dean and the 2 picks.

He may be correct,  but we need to include all the pieces in the scenario to see the correct comparison.

Either scenario is 4 player in the first 2 days of the draft...  with both ncludung Davis , Brown and Jurgens.    Ham wants Dax.... the Eagles got Dean.    But Ham scenario we don't have the 2 extra picks.

I think when the pick was about to happen this year when Dax got drafted... if the Eagles offered pick 87, and both the 2023 1st and 2024 2nd for the right to draft Dax... I don't think people would be crazy about that.   But it's essentially exactly what Ham says he would prefer.

And no changing of the subject to 2019 cap or trading for Smith last year is going to deflect from this " accurate" and " factual" analysis of the Saints trade.

I never said that. Just wanted to use our THIRD first round pick on Dax this year.

Then no Brown(I'm not going through the logic again)
