Lmao but Douglas wasn’t good he is to slow he can’t play CB....hmmmm always stuck my neck out for Douglas thought he should have been a starter for us....Also Schwartz scheme has to be a CBS nightmare no way everyone we have just magically got better when they left it’s how Schwartz has them playing

PS jsb know that wasn’t you but that what many I the board said about Douglas

You can blame Schwartz. But Douglas wasn’t some guy that wasn’t given a chance here. He had opportunities every season. I always feel for the guy that accomplished but they won’t give opportunities. Like we did with Villanueva. Ward comes to mind. Everybody saw he deserved to make the team last season. We are lucky we still have him. But that wasn’t Schwartz. And Burnett has felt the same way. Not a blockbuster player ,maybe...but solid...and gets it done. Feels reliable as well. But concerning Douglas ...maybe he just wasn’t a fit for us. He needed a change. He got a wake up call. He wasn’t a guy that wasn’t focused on his craft. I wouldn’t take anything away from Douglas on that part. Last two seasons you could clearly tell he became a gym rat and worked out with enthusiasm. But nobody’s perfect. Fort last season hits me in your argument also. Went to a different scheme that was more similar to what he was trained in and thrived immediately. I thought he was going to be good for us. Not sure what cluster Fed that one. He just didn’t seem to get an opportunity. We were caught up on trying to get stupid compensatory picks...so maybe that was a factor. Anyway....anyway....anyway....Douglas at least was a playmaker. That part I liked. He gave up some embarrassing plays here. Let’s not whitewash his track record here. But I’ll give him that he’s a playmaker. That we’ve been sorely lacking. Jenkins being our primary non Dline playmaker lost also. But Craig James beat him out of the job. Let’s not forget how it all went down. James looks good in this system. So I’m going to turn the gate of Douglas thriving elsewhere into....wait for James to get back. I think Janes really earned his spot. Sure drafted Douglas high....Jones even higher! But James earned it. He got injured. I’m not playing the short game. Let’s give James a shot.

Yeah GB, Rasul's only rated the 10th best CB in the league right now - must be playing against teams who don't know ( or don't have the ability ) to go deep fast. Still there have been a lot of players who have left that play well on other teams the past few yrs. That shows me a coaching problem. I'm thinking more and more lately Reich had a lot more to do w/ the SB win than Pedey. Did we let the wrong coach go? Pedey's looking old and frustrated lately

And our corner situation has sucked! I liked the move for Slay. I liked the addition of an experienced slot guy in Robey-Coleman for cheap. I’ve been a fan of LeBlanc. He’s a scrappy and seems to bleed green. I thought it should have been his job to lose. Let Coleman backup and bring specialty packages matchup base snaps. But then it comes down to that second outside corner. Maddox is small in stature. I harped on bringing all these shrimps in at the time. But really isn’t a question about who performed better for us. Maddox has made some plays. Been a bull dog. Last year after he was injured he gave up plays also. I’m fine with it as long as it’s because of injury. Give me all you got. So with no preseason games and the situation playing out like it did....Maddox seemed most deserving of a legit shot focused outside. I thought we’d bring McLeod back...because of value(salary, experience and ability). But FS is Maddox true spot I believe. So for me the whole offseason was fairly blown. But it was hard to argue with bodies of work as a Philadelphia Eagles. Maddox deserved the job more tHan the others.

This dallas/Browns game is hilarious!

It's the same old argument - Howie is a contracts guy, period! We need a real personnel team to put this sh**show back together. The trade deadline is the 29th, if the ship isn't righted by then, it's time to purge dead wood, expensive contracts and build for the future. That includes players and coaches.

Just catching up now, dullas was down huge. Did CLE get a Safety?

Was Douglas ever really given a chance come on Ham he wasn’t he only got to play because of massive injuries he was never in Schwartz favor... Even though he clearly outplayed most of our CBs in a scheme that didn’t fit him...

Also no James didn’t beat him out for a job James was favored over him everything I heard Douglas thrived in camp... Douglas ranked 10th by PFF where is James again???

See TB came way back to win - embarrassing. Dullass scored 22 unanswered pts - ouch!

Win today and we are first in the East lmao that so sad

All I’m seeing is players leaving that are thriving with coaches that utilize there skills play to there strengths things your suppose to do as a coach and players come here and suck don’t think they magically became bad player...

Robey Coleman was one of the best slot CB before coming here now he looks terrible??? Slay play is even down compared to his normal  self in Detroit

Douglas another example now of it

We know Douglas gets beat by speed and double moves, he isn't that good and I would have to think opposing O's just didn't take advantage of that. Guys I was thinking about that didn't play well or were misused/not given a proper chance here are guys like Villenueva, Mostert and the guy from NE who wound up back in NE, played well but opted out - can't think of his name. That's bad coaching - not recognizing or misusing talent, not using players' best abilities. Been a manager/owner all my life, can recognizing those things pretty quickly.

Where’s No Mas? No crying about the Bronze standard of AR. I guess it doesn’t ring so true while he’s the reigning Super Bowl Champ. Probably the favorite to win it again.

Bold predictions time!!!!!

Eagles win 28-13 tonight

Wentz throws a pair of Tds and NO INTERCEPTIONS

Miles Sanders rushes for over 100 yards gets 50+ through the air to go with a rushing and receiving TD

Killins makes a huge splash with a 50+ yard TD reception

Defense we force 3 turnovers pair of interceptions and a FF.

Yup overly optimistic but wouldn’t be bold predictions if I went with what everyone is already expecting

To me this feels like a game similar to the one at GR. Bay last year and they play as a team. Hoping that is

Hope you're right TD. Deb's enjoying this season as I'm not really invested in it. spending the extra time on her.

I agree he wasn’t in favor with Schwartz ever. He fought an up hill battle. But he was gifted by injuries on the depth chart consistently in front of him. He did receive plenty of snaps. He didn’t just ride pine. He made some plays. I won’t deny that. But he also got busted a bunch. Up and down at best. But YES!!!! James fits! Great on ST. And when given a tiny opportunity to play corner...you know what..,.he showed well. I don’t think either is a big time player, per say. But I was actually afraid James wouldn’t be given a chance. Just sucks he got injured when his number was called this season. As an Eagle....things played out like I said. Douglas didn’t ride pine and never get an opportunity. He wasn’t anything special here. I don’t blame Schwartz. Our Secondary coach was overrated. I liked the change. Let’s see what Manuel can do. I was focused on a consistent bad coaching performance from our secondary coach. Maybe Douglas was collateral damage. But Janes was given nothing...he took it. That means something. You cut your second round pick to keep him. And I agree with the move.

He’s good at wheeling and dealing also. So he’s in a good position. We just need top notch scouting and personnel people to go with him. Contract’s wise...I’ve been the lone guy busting his balls about pushing every dollar down the road. But many fans complain now. This ship was coming to dock. I’ve complained and everybody shut me down. Now you got to lie in that bed.

That seemed like a galvanizing moment. That’s what this team needs. We all we got....we all we need!

Coleman was very overrated in my book. I’ve been consistent. I thought it should have been LeBlanc’s job to lose. But they paid Coleman backup vet money. So I’m not complaining about the addition. So I’m on both sides of the Robey-Coleman situation. I’ve been warning about the overhype...but also don’t think he’s not as bad as he’s shown for us so far.

Pu22y  a22  MOFO!!! Hahaha you bleed green....don’t even try to act like it doesn’t matter how we do.

The strange thing about this season is that our biggest question mark is the one position that no one thought would be a question mark this year. It seems really odd to say things like, "If Wentz can outplay Nick Mullens, we have a chance."

Absolutely right! The Wentz development has been the most unsettling thing

You mean like Douglas sticking with D.Hopkins  and keeping him relatively in check 7 catches for 41 yards.... It’s magical that guys play better when used the right way.

A was a 3rd rounder and 10th rated CB who just held Hopkins to 7 catches 41 yards yup we made the right call alright.... Douglas is thriving and we don’t have any anything outside CBs besides Slay

How good is SF's OL? Does our DL stand a chance to be as successful as last week?
