https://section215.com/2022/08/28/philadelphia-eagles-sinnett-experiment/ One persons opinion. I believe Strong will go on the PS "protected", meaning a team would have to pony up something. I think we hold him for a bit to see if he heals up. I don't believe we make that decision after 3 months and few pre-season passes

By definition the PS isn’t protected. That’s what the 53 man roster actually means.

Ok... Banner and AR were 10 years ago dude.  That's a decade.  Move on from AR.  Lurie and Howie have run the show.

3 QBs have been what they do.   Which is what matters.

Siri had Gainwell on the field in key plays while taking Sanders off...since game 1 last year.  No shot he doesn't dress if healthy.    He has probably the most guaranteed future of any RB to remain on the roster.

How many teams have their 3rd string QB that prove to make a roster?

Let's relax before going crazy here with all this roster talk.

Banner and AR being so long ago was exactly my point. How is what they did relevant now?

It's not....it's what Lurie and Howie do. 3 QBs is what they have done.

OK, So I had my 12 team Auction draft last night. It is a keeper league so many RB's were not available. So here is what I ended up with:

QB- Burrows and Rodgers

RB - Mixon, Conner, Fournette and Singletary, R Penny

WR - M Brown, A Thielan, B Aiyuk, E Moore and D Mooney

TE - Da Goedert

K - Prater

Def- GB

I should have gotten a better player somewhere as I ended up with Cash which is a big No No in Auction leagues. Still, not terrible job...

Not sure why we are worried about 3rd string QB's?

I guess they changed the rules up. I thought you could only protect a PS like two times. But seems there is no limit. Guess I was wrong on that one. Used to be PS was free game.

I can wait another day to see who we keep. PS games mean almost squat to me, as the guys out there have practiced very little together. Practice is what matters and we don't get to see most of that.

As for Dillard I think he stays, but if he were to be traded the Saints LT is injured as well and would rather trade with them. I like trading with them - lol!

BS you can put restrictions on a few PS players. Try some facts once

Because if we trade shew one of those guys can be our future 2 . So even though they are immaterial for the moment,we need to develop them as  possible #2's.  Of course if you can't or they are as good as expected you hit the waiver wire

Private league draft was yesterday. 3 teams are comps if anyone wants to take 1 send me your email in messages

My team from last nights draft(I drafted at 2). Eagles D and the Chiefs special teams(they are separate for more accurate scouring)

Thanx for the updates.

NFL dot com sure takes it's sweet time updating the cut tracker

For injured reserve, teams are permitted to return eight players from the IR list or reserve/non-football injury/illness list in 2022, per NFL Media. Last year, it was unlimited. Additionally, a player may be designated to return a maximum of two times in one season, with each return counting against the franchise's grand total of eight. A player designated to return is eligible to return to practice or the active/inactive list after four games have elapsed since he was placed on the reserve list.

As for the practice squad, the league is going to keep the number at 16 after being 10 just a few years ago, per NFL Media. The players who can be added to this group are players who do not have an accrued season of NFL experience, free agents who were on the active list for fewer than nine regular-season games during their only accrued season or seasons, and a maximum of 10 free agents who have earned no more than two accrued seasons. Teams can also have a maximum of six veterans with an unlimited amount of accrued seasons on their practice squads, as long the players in the latter two categories don't exceed 10.

A practice squad player can be elevated for a maximum of three regular-season games in the same year and any number of postseason games without taking up a spot on the 53-man active roster. Last year it was just two.

Surprised at tartt seems he could be at least a rotational guy,but onward we go . I figured Strong on the PS,but again onward we go.

Have till noon on Wed to put claims in, think at lest Tartt will be on it.

Yeah, have him cut

I figure tartt was at least workable as a rotational/situational player. Not that he is a GOD, but he can play in certain situations. he is best as a run defense safety and blitzer. Probably since he has some weight to him be decent in TE coverages,so this was a little, well not shocking, but surprising since we weak. The other option is they know a cut coming from another team would be a better option,so we can see,but I think we grab a S we like better thanTartt

That is rather surprising also lol
