Hey Ham,this was my call. Why Tartt went away because they had their eye on someone else. I called it,I called it I called it!!!!!🤣🤣. Mixed role in NO,but with the CB's we have this is a nice upgrade at S. We have versatile LB's who can drop back or Gardner can play up or back. Looks to me like we want the squeeze play in short yardage defense. Should be pretty effective on those 3rd and 4 passes I would think

Evidently Gardner was in very heated extension talks that didn't work out and he's in a contract yr. Don't ask me how we could afford him after this yr. One way is if Hurts doesn't work out and we don't have to pay him - just one scenario.

Miami has some notable up and ccming young guys,so no surprise at this really. Sony is useful for a year, maybe 2. I would be fine adding him in the event Sanders gets hurt again just as "insurance"

[12:02 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving Devon Allen, Mac McCain, and Tay Gowan. It seemed like the Eagles might actually keep Allen after he flashed in the last two preseason games ... but he didn’t really do much in practices all summer. They’ll obviously hope to bring him back on the practice squad. The corners being cut isn’t surprising; they could both be back on the PS as well. Roster unofficially down to 66 players. If a team claims him, does he have to count toward their 53?    Or can he be put on their PS?

Pretty sure if he is claimed off waivers he has to be put on the 53 man roster at least at the start. By week 1 they could opt to drop him and resign him to the PS
