And I know we can " hire them back to our PS"  but my question is if the player can refuse and go on another team's PS????

I'm curious to know if this is discussed before the move is made. I would think they ask the player if he wants to return(yes or no)

Agreed, that's why we were arguing with Ham that THIS is the year, not NEXT year. It's GO time for Hurts or we make the change

See but Ham will " call it" on the very strong possibility that we don't trade up next year and just keep Hurts as a cheap option.

IMO that could happen, but it's the same as them not signing Hurts, just they choose the cheap option for another year.

But if Hurts is here for a 2nd contract, he will be signed prior to next season.  No doubt.

GB - did you see Bengals releeased their former OSU P Chrisman?

No tampering now so they can talk o anyone they want

That's why I was wondering if the FO was waiting to announce cuts until after practice yesterday

Yes believe a player has the right to not sign on the Ps they are essentially a FA at that point. Can opt to sign on any teams Ps they want.

Now if the player is claimed off waivers though they go straight to the team that claimed them and they are on the 53.

But again once they clear waivers cna sign anywhere they please to any teams PS

Yeah,Shew will be gone also,so it's re-sign Hurts or they both go away from a new rookie. Howie did a great job filling out the O roster no matter who the QB is. I mean what would say Herbert do with this WR squad(amazing things I would guess)  Some really nice franchise type QB's next year. I can think of 3, which, with 2 round 1's we would have our choice

No,haven't followed him. As you know I wanted some competition at least with Sipos, but if he sucks we can grab one. There will be guys wanting jobs

That makes it clear,excellent description

So a picked up wavier player MUST be rostered on the 53. Unclaimed he can be on the 53 OR the PS right?

Again though,  there could easily be a scenario... Eagles picks could be late teens...  with the teams at the top all needing QBs.  It could be too expensive to move up.   In that case Hurts is the only QB on the roster. So they could have him as the 2023 QB by default.  And not sign him because they don't plan to keep him after next year.

Ideally it's Hurts extended or being able to draft a rookie.... but it might be too expensive,  it is possible for scenario 3.

There must be a lot of talks going on - esp concerning Reagor - as there hasn't been anything since noon

Thanks Stine. Been on BGN to see Eagles only but will leave that open for when I have time, juggling a few things as we have early voting

One of the games being played right now is to discuss things with a player to cut him so he doesn't have to go thru waivers then resign him tomorrow.

You are talking about the vested vets that don't have to go on waivers?

So we have 16 more cuts/waivers coming in the next 2 hours-crunch time

Wonder what we could realistically expect for Reagor in a trade…. If there are multiple teams as reported has to help increase the value a little right? Not expecting anything crazy but could we sneak maybe a 3rd or 4th rounder for him???

Highly doubt we get anything more than a 5th, but that is a good deal considering we probably will cut him. Would get no more than a  5th or 6th as compensation...

[1:49 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving Marvin Wilson and Kobe Smith. Both practice squad worthy if they don’t get claimed. I think Big Marv might get picked up. Roster unofficially down to 64 players. (Sources: Tom Pelissero and Matt Lombardo

Eagles releasing Jack Anderson according to his agent Ken Sarnoff.

No clue who any of these guys are... lol.

You'll know these;

[2:24 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving Andre Chachere. I had him on my 53 due to his flashes in coverage during practice, his special teams chops, and his positional versatility. But apparently that much wasn’t enough. It will be annoying if K’Von Wallace gets kept over him. It is good to see that Reed Blankenship has a real chance to stick around. Roster unofficially down to 61 players. (Source: Mike Kaye)

[2:22 PM ET] - The Eagles are reportedly waiving Deon Cain. He did some nice things as a pass-catcher in practices and preseason games but it clearly wasn’t enough. He’s a safe bet to be back on the practice squad if he doesn't get claimed. With Cain and Devon Allen out, that could leave Britain Covey as WR5 if Jalen Reagor gets traded. Roster unofficially down to 62 players. (Source: Jeremy Fowler
