No bud. Lurie needs to tell him to get the F out that's it. What would his role in that scenario be?

Feel like I need to respond to your post. We agree so often that I don’t counter anything your saying. Take it as a compliment. You know I always appreciate your contributions. Appreciate doesn’t cut it...respect...listen to another knowledgeable die hard Eagles fan would be more apporitate.

It sure we would move Cox would t rule it out but think he is a good building stone to help the next group along(now I’d he wanted our to be on a contender different story)

Graham/Malik yea gone likely Barnett is a possible trade not sure we should pickup his 5th year option

Been talking Ertz trade for awhile think if he shows he is healthy Alshon can garner something as well

I just think it's about what we can get but also clearing out some big contracts. Cox is one way of doing that plus returns fairly good value hopefully.

think we’ve been much more focused on prioritizing offense. A few of the defensive priorities have been like a Jones(injured second round pick). Is Hones Schwartz fault?

He has gotten literally everything he has asked for he isn’t maximizing that is the issue.

go back and read my post of everything we have given the guy but he is second fiddle WHAT!!!! Honestly make a much stronger case the O is neglected compared to what Schwartz has been given

Thanks bud! Unless you're being sarcastic.

See we coulda had Mike Mayock in here in some capacity. He's excellent a drafting.GIve him this year and maybe some of next and you should see the raiders start coming on

He wouldn’t take the job here. He was given a level of control there that no one else was willing to offer. Him and Gruden have a special relationship I’d say. Thats the waY it should’ve.

I think someone will offer a second for Ertz. Maybe a third for Cox. The rest? Yeah not going to get a lot there but then it becomes about clearing cap space.

IDK if purging the whole team works for me either.Ertz has been a key cog for Wentz.I like Goedert and assume he could take over, but then we need a new  Goedert. So until I see that guy I'm keeping Ertz.We can clear lots of cap losing Alshon and Djax.Hightower looks promising.Jjaw needs to go away(no cap savings but he sucks) lol.I want Parson with pick 1,the in 2,3 a DL and OL pick. We'll have to scrpe around again at CB like we always do)nothing new there)

After this dismal season possibly we can restructure COX.I think he's worth keeping at this point.Lord knows we need to help him out lol

If this team keeps tending downward and we purge the team(which we honestly need to do win or lose regardless of older players) think it is the perfect time to make serious coaching changes. Let a new coach come in with a pretty stripped down roster and start adding the pieces for his scheme

You responded to his track record as a HC with the Lions. You know, I don’t think he’s a great HC. But he’s a heck of a DC. We can argue the minutia of his issues...like his ego and such....but just hard to argue with success about him not being very good at his job. Like I said ...I’ve never really liked him...but he’s a heck of a DC.

Ertz represents our most valuable tradeable asset right now... We already have Goedert and right now we have the leverage. Ertz has no real leverage on us and we hold the cards with the rest of the league. But the longer we leave that the more our position weakens.

Or you trade Ertz and just go back to using 1 TE primarily we invested heavily at WR... Ward is looking like a good player in the slot. Hopefully by trade deadline we will have an idea about the outside WRs Hightower, Watkins, Reagor(when he returns) etc.

So we are having a dismal season but you aren't really ready to purge the roster? And you aren't ready to trade our most valuable older assets to start that rebuild?

yeah that's true, they were tight those 2. Still there are other scouters and mockers who were close to being as good as Mayock.I mean it could hardly be worse right? This BOARD makes beeter draft choices lol

I never mentioned his time as a HC with the lions you got me mixed up with another post

What is his secondary done???? I want results he has shuffled through CBS been giving everyone he wants what are those results???

No,if you trade EVERYONE there is no foundation to build off of.having a total clan of rookies means you are out of contention for 2-3 years. We have some(a few) solid pieces. No need to lose those IMO.We have a boatload of picks, but only a 1,2,3,no 4,2 in 5,then I think 4 in rounhd 6.I would use those to move yup, even give them all away for a round 4 pick.facts remains, purge or no purge,we canr develop the guys we need to get it done,so I would fix that first

So why is our D going backwards?

Sanders, Geodart, Wentz, Lane, Ward... Hopefully see more from the young WRs

Trading off older players other teams are only going to want guys they see has value unfortunately Ertz fits perfectly in that mild especially since he wants a new payday

But we can't afford to pay Ertz... Well should I say we can't afford to extend him. So what we keep him and hope that he doesn't hold out at any point? That's risky. Plus we need to get under the cap somehow which means we need to get rid of some of the bigger earners on the team. Ertz is one of those.

OK so we trade him.he's a fan fav here as well(that counts for something).I don't see the next Goedert on our roster to make that move yet.Wentz loves 2 TE sets and if we lost Ertz,he loses that security blanket and we have no 2 TE sets, unless you see a TE on this roster I don;t see to take Goederts place.it's all opinion, but like I said there ARE some good players on this team,we need to do better with our draftees

If we have a dismal season.

Ertz tops my list to be traded honestly

Alshon/Djax are next though not sure Djax will garner anything.

defense Graham/Malik think both could get us something. Barnett is tough but again not sure he has shown enough to warrant picking up his 5th year option be what like 15m

If his demads become out of hand,of course we let him go,still I think he's as frustrated as we all are and he's blowing smoke

WHy can't we afford to pay him? If we lost Djax and Alshon we are basically paying rook salaries at WR across the board.Gotta pay someone lol(reagor,Hightower,Ward is cheap)

I think Doug loves 2 TE sets and it came out of necessity. Honestly think Wentz prefers 3 WRs and 1 TE or at least he is better in those sets

You know I respect your opinion. Getting that out the way first. But please go ahead and make your case for our supreme commitment to defense. Barnett, Jones...and now Slay and Hargrave. Pretty much the main investment. I’ll throw in the lane investment in Darby. Definitely Schwartxfault. I liked the move myself...based on Darby’s potential. It was a flop. But you know when you make your case to be prepared for my counter. And the evidence is all on my side. Offense has been the commitment. Defense been third priority. I don’t think it’s even arguable!

But I’ll give you a shot.

Well firstly... Wentz may not be the long term guy anyway. Secondly we can't afford to pay Ertz what he wants and at his age nor should we. So what do we do there? Thirdly, we can draft a young TE to develop behind Goedert and bring in a veteran in the meantime.

We are $70M over the cap...

IDK if you look back even to having Burton,we use 2 TE's frequently and I'm not against trading Ertz, but not until I see Geoderts replacement and I dont see him yet
