Not really we had some 3 TE sets and Celek was a blocker but we primarily played out of the 3 WR 1 TE set 

2017 I thought we did a ton to cater the O to Wentz though from going under center spreading it out, using plays from his NDSU days... Even ran quite often out of the single back sets with Blount/Ajayi.

BTW it's rough on Ped,he gets the blame for Carsons's piss poor play.MRS Wentz even chimed in that ped needs to "let him go".So there is the quandry,is Peds play calling bad or is it Wentz's lack of execution? Ped won't open the play book if Wentz can't make the simple plays-catch 22

Celek made some catches,so did Burton.There is always one TE preferred over the other,but we still use that set alot.Goedert is fine,but who would be TE 2? I dont see that guy on the roster

The 49ers are likely to be in personnel sets all night to keep us out of nickel. Will be interesting to see if we put Riley on the field or Bradley. Or if we just stick with Epps as an extra safety.

Wentz making rook mistakes forcing balls.I know he wants to win and we know he is an alhpa competitor.But he needs to mature and throw balls away if he has to.I'm not seeing that maturity.Like I always say,if we play as best as we can and lose,you won't hear a word from me.There are better teams,but when we make bonehead plays that coast winnable games,I will be on it like white on rice(like I am now). We got Hurts,he needs a few snaps a game.I wanna see what we have there and if Wentz sucks again,you can be I try someone else and IDK what I'm paying him.maybe he needs pulled to get a freakin WAKEUP CALL

Your Parson’s die hard suggestion at this point has no merit. Not trying to be a dick. But too far away to lock in anyone with some unknown pick selection for us. I would say that Ertz is very ripe fruit for us to trade. Everybody always wants to trade garbage and get back everything. I don’t believe in that. Take advantage...yes. Opportunities knock. But you can’t be afraid to trade valuable assets to gain for the team as a whole. Those are the ones that give you the real return. Think about all your mock drafts. Could you get some return in an Ertz deal before the deadline? I’d argue in our screwed up roster....he might be our best trade bait. And the guy wants a huge pay raise. Let me stress this again. We have him on a very good deal(all credit to Rosie on this/you know I bash and give credit equally). Best thing for us is for him to play out the next two seasons in his prime under current contract. But you are hitting on my pet peeve with Rosie and our problems. I just don’t want to pay Ertz on a no win team. Wait....let me say this again....no wins...we haven’t won a fu34ing game! Sometimes you have to do things for the better of the whole. And Ertz is trying to strap us in to more paying s guy three years from now for his play today. That’s our fu27ing problem. Everybody shoots me down. Thinks Rosie is a wizard. Smart guy. Has his strengths. But there is, in fact, a guy behind the curtain. We are paying today and next year for performances of yesterday. You feel the difference. It wasn’t magic. It was pushing the buck down the road. We won a SB...finally. I would have done anything for that moment. I’ve been a tortured fan long enough. But we’ve been paying the price since. We are a capped out team that hasn’t won a game. Most everybody is up for trade. Explain to me how Ertz has been so crucial in our run to the top of the league this season. You can’t. Many things are broken. 53 man roster. Gotta always do what’s best for the collective. I’ll give you your first point: Ertz has been a special player. Hard to find difference makers of that caliber.

I picked up Mecole in both Fantasy leagues.he is on my bench in both.but he had ONE big game.I'm hoping I don;t regret letting him sit this one out lol

Again Celek so the field for 40% of our snaps in 17 burton 26% that is counting that we ran some 3 TE sets 

comparison Smith and AG ran 70% of snaps Alshon 82%

we were a primarily 11 personnel team in 2017 and first half of 18.... Go more 12 personnel came toward the end of 18 and 19

I wouldn't expect Butler to contribute anytime soon. He isn't a TE, so no one knows if he can even do it yet. I think they are just taking a flyer on him to see if he can be an upgrade over Perkins down the road at the third TE spot, which is more of a big WR.
